  1. I don’t think the B1G has the money advantage they had back in the last round of expansion so poaching the ACC will not be as easy. I would look at Miami and Virginia Tech as they may be easier to pull away.
  2. Woodruff leads all of MLB in ERA, Burnes is 2nd, Peralta 5th.
  3. Yes I didn't mean it was a pecking order thing just that flipping them seems weird as Woodruff is an relatively older guy who I wouldn't think is on a innings limit like Burnes/Freddy. Maybe they are projecting starts the rest of the way and think this will make one less for Woody.
  4. I am sure it is buried in some thread here but why is Burnes jumped ahead of Woodruff in the rotation now? Thankfully I don't see an injury thread.
  5. Iowa State in the Big Ten???? I guess the pickings are slim if Texas and OK gone but takes the Big Ten down a notch in football while the SEC becomes an even more massive powerhouse than it already is. I would rather see North Dakota State than Iowa State. I mean I am sure Iowa State is OK in football just not sure what it adds media market wise. I guess we should have accepted Missouri when they had the chance.
  6. LOL we aren't there yet but if this happens he can rot at home as far as I am concerned, this has been a major difference from the Favre saga to me.
  7. I think whether we can get the same next offseason if he sits out is debatable, in my opinion at his age we won't as this season has a lot of value. But the bigger issue to me is how having him holdout will affect the team and Love this year. I get you meant retire which could alleviate that but I don't really see that happening, I don't see the leverage that gives Rodgers but maybe I am missing something there.
  8. There are certainly plenty here who agree with this but I feel like it is mostly spite and I hope the Packers are smart enough to realize that is not in their best interest. I don't want Love getting the starting job with that in the news every week. I like the Jeudy idea but any team trading for Rodgers is going to go all in with him over the next 3 years and probably want to keep their current team in tact other than maybe sending back their QB for cap purposes. Not everyone plays the perennial long game like the Pack, a lot of teams are just fine with taking a shot knowing they could have a few tough years after it is over.
  9. But if he is this world class grudger, and I don't doubt it, why in the world would people think he is going to give in and show up this year? The Packers should cut their losses and put him on the market now and get on with the Love era, really they should have been there a month ago. If you assume the Packers really wanted to move on next offseason anyway Rodgers did them a favor having the MVP year so they can get max value out of such an old player. I don't buy for a second there won't be a hot market for him, it only takes a few teams and off the top of my head I could see Broncos, Raiders, Titans, Dolphins, Saints as teams that would think Rodgers could put them over the top. I wouldn't count out teams like SF and NE either.
  10. Awesome! So happy for Giannas, Midds, all of us. I am going to be up until 3 AM. Yes!!!
  11. Yep. I envision the Bucks blowing a sizable lead to have a three-point lead with just seconds left and Booker throws up a three-quarter-court shot, makes it, and for some reason is fouled with a questionable foul, and makes the free-throw with no time left to win. That’s what Wisconsin sports heartbreak brings you. LOL we will never get over that Seattle NFCC loss
  12. The Deer District sounds like you get all the not so great parts of going to games(parking/traffic issues, long bathroom lines, etc) without actually getting to see the game live. But love the shots on TV of it and looks to me like people are having a blast, tomorrow could be really special too. Watch out for a full blown drunken riot if they win though. Milwaukee deserves this title, really great sports town whose fans deserve better than the chances that their ownership groups and unfair leagues have given them over most of my lifetime.
  13. It sure feels like the Bucks are destined to close this thing out on Tuesday, if Lebron and the Lakers had pulled out a couple of wins in dramatic fashion like the Bucks have I would say it is over. But if course these are the Bucks so I always have the we can’t have nice things keeping me fearful of a collapse. Really a great series , it’s too bad the media already declared it lame going in because it isn’t Lakers-Nets so I doubt it will be remembered as it should be by anyone other than Bucks/ Suns fans.
  14. Wow golden opportunity to break open the division before the all star break, tonight would be key to getting a sweep. I like the youtube games since I don't have whatever the Brewers are broadcast on. I do a lot of radio/gamecast games this season which isn't so bad.
  15. Rasmussen is a nice prospect and Tampa obviously likes him since they drafted him originally, I could see this trade flipping back in Tampa's favor a few years from now. Heck Urias and Grisham are a lot closer now then they were a few weeks ago and that trade looked like a disaster.
  16. That is interesting because a lot of the reason I don't play golf that much is I suck at it but I have been using the old clubs I inherited from my Dad. I always tee off with a 3 wood on longer holes because he didn't use a driver. I remember being at driving range and using a friends Big Bertha and what a difference that made. I do enjoy the game but it stresses me out not being any good so I stick to disc golf as it is more forgiving. Maybe an investment will work wonders for me too.
  17. I saw a tweet somewhere that there is an expectation that Giannis will play if there is a game 7, if true that is good news. Just need to get out of this series. Will the finals start Monday if they win tonight?
  18. Guessing that Young plays or limps along for game 6….. Yeah I factor that in but also assume that he won’t be 100%. Injuries suck in the playoffs, these games come fast.
  19. What is left of the Bucks should certainly be able to split with what is left of the Hawks. Of course if the Hawks win game 6 we will be despondent. Great win, the pressure is off now that they won without Giannis.
  20. I expected he was through as he sort of labored in the 7th. He must be feeling good and getting these 7th and 8th innings out of your starters is gold.
  21. I didn’t make it past 5-0 but to be fair I was working, I did tune into this thread at some point so knew they were coming back. Wow 15 runs with yelich going 0-5. Fun times let’s keep it going.
  22. Interesting that I think that same offseason a lot of us, including me, wanted Darvish and all breathed a big sigh of relief when he got injured right away for the Cubs. Now he is back to being the pitcher we would have hoped for. Still glad we avoided both with the way our starters have developed but money aside adding Darvish to our rotation would be pretty sweet.
  23. I mean this inning by box is the ballgame, not getting much from the O tonight
