  1. Sounds like a World Series to me...
  2. Yankees, Red Sox, and Dodgers for all the reasons above...
  3. Hoskins struggling hasn't helped. He was one of the guys who usually mashes LHP who was brought in.
  4. Was there about 15 years ago. Nice stadium. We sat one night close to the Brewers dugout, and then got cheap seats the next night we wanted to sit up by that purple mile high stripe which was cool. There used to be a Brewers/Packers bar close to the stadium that was kinda fun too after the game or before. Forget what it's called.
  5. My nightly putting the kids to bed routine is to check in on the IGT because it's quieter and less bright than the game. If it's 3-5 pages long, we're winning...if it's 5-10 pages long we're losing. If it's over 10 pages we came back to make it close and blew it late, or we ended up winning. Any loss seems to bring out the haters, despite this team exceeding expectations like crazy so far and doing it very banged up as well I might add. Pretty exciting!
  6. Close it out boys come on! Need this one.
  7. What a great series! Pretty fun games to watch all series. Close back and forth battles, great d, young players. The return of Craigers. Should make for a fun rivalry for years to come here.
  8. No bunt there? I thought that's why Miller was brought in. He's bunted in the past pretty good right?
  9. No Dunn needs more at bats to not swing.
  10. I know everyone likes to make the sky is falling posts after a couple bad games. But like others have said this is baseball. It's a long 162 game season. Even the best teams lose series, lose to bad teams, have long losing streaks, get shutout, get no hit. It happens. I swear this team could be the 2001 Mariners and there would be a 20 page thread on the IGT page saying how bad the team is. Thanks for posting those stats, the data doesn't lie. Overall they have been a pretty good offense this year so far despite a crazy amount of injuries and growing pains of young players, and a patchwork starting rotation. Gotta give the front office and coaching staff credit.
  11. That has to be David Weathers son right? Looks just like ole Stormy but with long hair. Feels like yesterday but he was late 90's setup guy correct?
  12. Do people from St. Louis really say "The Lou"? Where does Nike get this stuff. I do like that it's a red jersey, but that's about it. Also the hat seems really generic and a different font than what they normally use. 3 letters on a baseball cap just doesn't sit well with me...and I include our MKE hats in there as well.
  13. Hats off the Brewers staff for finding these guys and developing them what seems like each and every year. This is why we don't spend in Free Agency that much, we don't have to. But yes my concern is will these guys be able to not burn out the second half? It feels like we use these guys way too much. But we have lots of people coming off the DL, or people we can call up to maybe balance that like Sveum mentioned.
  14. Was this the Daniel Norris trade? Or Chafin? I think Norris. Yikes most of those deadline bullpen deals backfired the last couple years. Reese would look pretty good in our rotation right now...
  15. Crazy to see his stance change that much in a years time. Great video and breakdown. Does anyone know what the hockey puck bat does? Is it a balance thing having that bigger knob on there? He chokes up quite a bit on that giant bat too I've noticed. Glad it's working!
  16. Did anyone here predict he would become the HR beast that he was during that reign? I think most didn't care because his arm and D were so bad. If we had the DH back then he would be been great to hang onto until he became a FA.
  17. Gasser looked good. That sweeper is a nasty pitch, and he threw it for strikes. When it was backdoor for a strike that is a thing of beauty right there.
  18. Maybe it's just me being positive, but maybe the "real" Brewers offense is last night, with Yelich in there mashing. It really makes a difference wow.
  19. I chalk up this sour stretch is from: 1) Key injuries in lineup and pitching staff 2) Scouting reports and video tape on how to expose/exploit our younger hitters/pitchers with little MLB experience 3) 26 games in 27 days stretch is a grind for any team Do I think we will keep up the hitting pace of the first 13 games? No. Do I think we'll be as bad as we have been during this latest stretch? No. Somewhere in the middle depending on when we start to get healthy and who we call up that steps up and plays well down the stretch.
  20. So who are these younger guys the Cubs have helping them win right now? Are they good prospects or are they just random guys over performing like the Cards prospects the last couple years or so. Excited for this series!
  21. Man what happened to the White Sox? Weren't they really good a year or two before the La Russa hire? I remember they had a ton of really good, young Latin players all coming up at the same time. What happened?
  22. We'll see how he does for them in the Playoffs. Can he can show up and pitch as their ace when it counts?
  23. In game threads are great. I really enjoy following along with the game, or catching up with the game later at night on it.
  24. We need offense. Welcome to the bigs!
