  1. I was there. There was very little booing from the crowd. I was impressed actually. The fans were pretty supportive and were still cheering those last 5 innings where nothing happened. No one boo'd Jackson after he miffed that liner after robbing the HR. The loudest boos were for Winker. It did get realllly quiet in there during that 4th inning. You could tell everyone was "oh boy here we go again" as soon as the Mets got on base.
  2. Wow sure he's not still on the Brewers? :) Good to see him pitch well in the Playoffs at least.
  3. Rea reminds me of Shawn Marcum in 2011. Amazing regular season, we don't get to the playoffs without him. But he is running out of gas at the end of the season and getting hit hard. I think it's smart leaving him off the roster in this shorter series. Give him a breather, and maybe use him in a 5 or 7 game series if needed.
  4. Wow I feel dumb for paying full price. Never again. Rick S. took me to the cleaners. Yep it's MLB and baseball's playoff structure's fault for attendance figures. Tuesday night, with school back in session and an early start time it's hard on people who work and who have kids. I'd say upper 30,000s and low 40,000 would be a great crowd. And yes some people are a bit playoff fatigued with playing poorly early in the playoffs the past 5 years I would say as well. If we make the next round people will wake up. Pretty crazy to think that Playoffs and Brewers could become a normal thing. Back in 2008 you weren't sure if it would ever happen again!
  5. On paper here you'd figure we'd want the Mets coming back to Milwaukee tomorrow tired and gassed so we should be rooting for the Braves here in game 2 right? But it's playoff baseball anything can happen. We still have to do our part regardless of who we are playing tomorrow. But watching the last 3 innings of this game has got me primed and ready for playoff baseball in person tomorrow afternoon. Go crew!
  6. Wow. And this is why throwing Diaz yesterday seemed odd. What a game!
  7. Don't the Mets have like a 340 million dollar payroll? Tigers, Brewers, Royals, Guardians are the "feel good stories" yep.
  8. Wow great stats. It's cool to see the data as to WHY we were so good this past year. It just felt like compared to years past we were always on base, or stealing. Making productive outs. Where in the past too many Ks with RISP or offense that just hit HRs w/ shady D and pitching. I feel like we have to win coach of the year and front office person of the year this year right? Just insane what they were able to do.
  9. Not as big of a loss as Devin or Woody from the last couple of years, but yep late inning defensive replacement, pinch hit if you need to get a bunt down, pinch runner that can steal and score from 1st late in the game would be nice to have him on the bench.
  10. He's the type of guy that makes me root for him...even if he's a Viking. Love the way he runs too. Very unique style for a RB very long stride. But I still want to beat them.
  11. Is this the guy that would post on here a few years ago who claimed he was his agent?
  12. Would love to see Haase get a chance to play and make the Post Season roster. Every time he's in he mashes but that seems to be pretty rare. I'd feel better about him coming off the bench to PH in a Playoff series than Sanchez or Bauers right now.
  13. I went against my rule and got into the hype and probably over payed at regular price for the WC games...should of just waited just like for concerts.
  14. Does calling Mis up affect his service time if he plays in Sept or in the Playoffs? No? They must be watching his innings closely playing the long game. But man would be nice to have someone like that come up and give the pen a shot in the arm.
  15. They are the new "greasy" team the last couple years when I tune in. They always seem to come through, and the media and announcers will say it's "good teams find ways to win"...but man they seem to get all the flags at just the right time ANY time I watch them. And they are ALWAYS on national TV because of Mahones and Kelsey. Just too much $ at stake. But man they are hard to watch for me agreed.
  16. Same here. Born in 83, I was too young for those good 80's teams and grew up with the end of Robin Yount and Molitor but mainly remember the era you mentioned '93-2004 as the teams and players I'd follow. Never thought I'd see the Brewers in the playoffs ever, and here we are almost getting spoiled by it the past 7 years, and 10-15 years before that even with the 08 and 2011 teams. But it's time to win some playoff games, and get hot and be that team in this year's playoffs. Sick of the bats going cold and us losing. I also hope this shuts up the haters that "Owner is cheap" crowds and comments. They are spending their money wisely where it counts off the field to be competitive every year and it's working. We can't be LA. We can't be the Cubs. We have to find other ways to win and they have. Give credit to the front office when it's due.
  17. Any of these teams will be tough. It's the playoffs there's no "easy" team this year like the Rockies kinda were in 2018 where we just rolled them. We're just gonna have to be that hot team for a change and not the other guys to win.
  18. We need some Tyler Houston in this thread.
  19. Wow interesting fact we have a losing record against the NL this season. I wouldn't of guessed that. We beat up on the AL East and AL Central right? So I guess that means we just have to get to the World Series then.
  20. When I think of Listach and Hamilton I think of them in those early 90's 3000 hits era uniforms, not the later 90's ones. Good to see!
  21. We've done well against good teams this year, and good aces. Hoping that transfers over to the playoffs.
  22. He was having a good season until the concussion thing. Wasn't that in SF? We also need some Marquis Grissom photos.
  23. Wow that long ago. I remember that year with those 3 backups I went to a lot of games because everyone was selling their tickets. It's happening right now too at work. Everyone is selling their home opener tickets.
  24. I think he forgot the "new" overtime rules that have been in place for a while now. I thought the same thing.
