  1. I don't really understand wrestling or how it's scored, but props to the announcers in this video for making it dramatic. That was pretty cool to hear and watch.
  2. Loretta is my guess. Man love those uniforms. Think this was 1999 with the patch for County Stadium.
  3. Oh wow didn't know this was a regular season game. If the Brewers ever play overseas (yeah right) that would be a fun trip!
  4. Ugh yeah the Lee trade kinda stunk. CoCo was a pretty good closer for us. But man Melvin was a little too high on his former players on the Rangers I think in that one. However wasn't Cruz more of an AL DH kinda guy? But he could mash. Could of used him for sure but I guess we had Prince coming soon.
  5. I think I remember that guy. Him and Ginter had crazy huge soul patches. Must of been the era of the soul patch.
  6. Yuni B had a good NLCS in 2011 I believe for us behind the plate. Looks like we're playing the cards in that shot too.
  7. Ginter always had massive forearms, this picture backs that up. The R doesn't hurt either. I want to say he hit 20 HRs for us one year before we traded him to the A's?
  8. I know he had hairy arms from old baseball cards. Looks like it.
  9. I like it. Time to start him against the Cubs to give them a taste of their own medicine.
  10. No stripes on the pants...I think they only did that the year or two before we got the new uniforms? 2019 season? Or was that the same year they got rid of the gold and replaced it with the current yellow before the logo redesign. Just trying to think of some other context clues.
  11. I thought I saw something on Twitter from one of the Brewers writers that the whole MA quote was taken out of context and wasn't fully what he said. What he really said wasn't that bad, and it was wrote a certain way to create drama just like most things on the internet.
  12. I'm getting Major League 2 vibes with Willie Mayes Hayes here trying to hit dingers now.
  13. Overall Brewers baseball is still probably one of the best values for tickets in all of US pro sports. If you go mid week you can find deals and promotions. Compared to Bucks and Packers it's so cheap.
  14. I remember those Uke Admirals ads well. Thanks for sharing!
  15. If this was a Brewers related deal I think I'd take it, or bargain for a little more. Food an beverage at each game, parking, maybe a car to drive me to the stadium. I think I'd get value out of that over a card.
  16. This is one of the things missing from our offense compared to last year when we were rolling that gets overlooked. Love was a legit threat to just tuck it down and run if no one was open right away and he'd get some big yardage. That really helps the passing game and running game. Maybe it's the coaching staff not wanting to risk injuring their QB of the future, or Love being a little timid after his injuries this year (There is no metric or stat to determine this, but it does seem like he has lost some of his "swag" from end of last season post injury early this year), but they need this back in their playbook to keep the defense in check. It just seems like the defense is teeing off on us because they know he's not going to run or scramble like last year when he gets pressured. It's the last game of the year, and the playoffs. Sounds like a perfect time to bring that back into the fold and go for it. I bet the Eagles wouldn't expect it.
  17. All I care about is a healthy Woody mowing down the Mets in the Playoffs this Fall.
  18. Watched some highlights from the Playoffs last year and end of season. Just seems like Love is wayyy more comfortable, moving around better and more often. Less shotgun, more under center play action. As soon as he drops back and sets his feet, someone is wide open and the ball is out and on time and accurate and there's a big gain. Seems like this year he's a little more panicked back there after the injury with pressure coming, and guys aren't as wide open as last year and he doesn't want to throw more INTs so he holds onto the ball too long and then nothing is there. Teams adjusted to our film from last year and we haven't counter adjusted.
  19. They need a guy whose job it is he can tell MLF to take timeouts and stuff like this if he's this bad. This is the kinda stuff you learn by playing Madden. I'm shocked so many of these head coaches are poor at it. It's not just MLF. I'm okay with going for it on 4th, but agreed the play calls have seemed to be pretty poor and uninspiring when do we go for it this season. Then you look at Detroit when they do it, and it's a play where the receiver is wide open by design. High % play. We haven't had many of those this year on 4th down it seems. Still overall the biggest two things that stick out to me from this season is the sputtering of the passing game compared to the end of last year, and the pass rush being next to nothing unless we blitz. I really thought with the draft we had and FA signings we'd be better than last year but I'm not seeing it right now. Who knows maybe they are saving it for the playoffs and will get hot next week, but right now it's not looking good.
  20. Right after that third down they showed on TV MLF and Baccia looking like a bunch of idiots panicking to go for it or kick the FG. It just was a bad look to me. To me the head coach should already know what to do there right away, thinking out all the scenarios ahead of time. I've never seen head coaches and special teams coaches talking like that on a sideline. Or do they normally do that kinda stuff over the headset and not in person? Just looked like they really had no idea on clock management again at the end of the game. Bears should of got the ball back with much less time on the clock than they did if you run off the clock properly. That call on defense was bad. I think many people were yelling at their TVs seeing how far back the safeties were and 3 guys so close to the sideline down on the bottom leaving the middle wide open with DJ Moore 1 on 1. I was impressed with Caleb. He made many athletic plays that 2nd half breaking free and getting out of sacks and getting the ball downfield. Reminded me of Love last year. I think he's going to be a good player, how many great QBs had horrid first years as starters? A lot.
  21. Deals like this we used to laugh at. But after the last couple years we just have to let the Brewers Front Office be the Brewers and turn these guys into studs.
  22. That's my vibe on this thing as well. I don't think it makes the team money, so they probably just want to spend their limited resources elsewhere. These things were primarily used to keep interested in the team during the off season when the team was bad. But now that we are good, it's not really needed as the fan interest will be there come season start. Plus I'm sure it's hard getting players to visit during the winter months, most of these guys are Florida, Arizona, Cali guys they don't want to leave their families and come up here in winter. Let's just be honest.
  23. I think Gutey can take a little blame here. Man looking back on our past 4-5 drafts and some of the misses in the 1st round...just imagine if we got some people who would of hit on. We'd be sitting pretty good with a TJ Watt right now. MLF yeah he just seems to choke in the big games. Get a little too cute with the play calls, dumb challenges, poor clock management. That Saints game just seemed like the playbook was wide open, lots of crazy stuff that worked. Yesterday it just seemed like we had to claw for every catch and completion. Maybe that was Minnesota's D but also we just felt off. But hey if they can get hot and play like that Dallas game last year we have a chance. Just need to get a pass rush going, man that is killing us. Getting some DBs back should help too.
  24. I actually liked the Packers whites over the Vikings. Both could be better with just a little bit more color. If ours had a yellow stripe on the helmet I think it would help. Obviously colored or striped socks as well. But the Vikings was almost too white, no contrast with the horn being white on the helmet as well.
  25. Last years Chiefs? :) I know it's hard to watch. I thought they were cracking down on all the OL leaving early and false starting, and here that one dude does it every play every time I tune in to every one of their prime time matchup games which seems like every week now.
