  1. Dan McLaughlin > Cardinals broadcast, is hands down the most annoying homer announcing idiot in the history of sports. Can’t wait to listen to him describe the losses to the crew. Last year was great, but this year will be better.
  2. The only reason he won’t win is large market bias. Simple as that. Yelich has the offense and base running with the clutch pushing him way past Bellinger, while Hollywood Bellinger has the defense. Sorry, but his offensive dominance and baserunning crush the D. But, as Chris Russo always says: MKE has a nice little team. You know, little.
  3. Makes it difficult to put him into the "good" or "bad" category. Peralta > Dominating! Pomeranz > Dominant. Black > Dominant.
  4. Freddy’s either fantastic or bad, not a lot of middle ground.
  5. 15 pitches last night. I think i'd rather have him available for tomorrow. Lets put a bunch more runs on the board, and get it to the point where he's not needed. Ha, we’ve played 145 games and 136 of em nail biters. So.............
  6. Guerra, Pomeranz, Claudio, and Black have all been very very good since the all-star break. I don't buy into this whole backhanded bashing of the Brewers thing that so many on here do. Plenty of quality relievers in the bullpen...not just Hader(though he's obviously the best) Obviously I agree, I’ll add Jackson vs RH batters. 7 of 14 is enough to win some more games moving forward.
  7. That’s all’s I can stands and I can’t stands no more. Freitas hurt his rib cage late August and missed more than a week, came back, got 7-8 AB’s, got called up to MKE, and has only pinch hit, albeit every game, and has yet to get a hit, with 3 bb and 2 K’s. Point is, we are not seeing him at his best, not even close, unlike most of you, I’ve watched Freitas when he was playing every day and in a rhythm, he’s closer to a Great hitter than a good hitter. Go ahead and knock 100 points off his AAA average if you want, that would still make him almost a .300 hitter in the big leagues. He’ll hit eventually, even if it’s only in a pinch hitting roll, he’s too good a hitter not too. But go ahead and pretend how smart we are by declaring Freitas a journeyman failure, but remember it’s because of his defense and not his hitting.
  8. Good news, and would be a huge addition for the last couple weeks of the season. Hope they start him, gradually stretch to 90+ pitches by the playoffs. Really big addition, wow, he’s been missed. Now let’s clinch this thing, and get Burnes pitching.
  9. To be fair > one of many.
  10. Love the positive energy around here! This really is a special team. Cubbies fans see the writing on the Wall. Cardinals fans still without a clue. Till Sunday ~ 4:30 pm central time. Here we go brewers, here we go!
  11. Villar is having a nice year for a horrible team. Certainly not the first time a guy has fallen out of favor for a contender, went to a bad team and excelled. No idea if he would have put up the same kind of numbers with this current version of the Brewers, because baseball isn't played in a vacuum. I can tell you that if Villar was still on this team, Moustakas likely wouldn't be. Also, there's really no place for Villar to play, unless he was going to supercede Arcia as the team's everyday SS. Good take. Dumb Dumb on the basepaths, sealed his fate with this team. Water under the bridge.
  12. This is quite possibly the worst analogy I’ve seen here. 50+ percent of NBA teams make the playoffs each year. If the brewers make the playoffs two consecutive years it would be absolutely huge for the franchise. From the occasional pretenders to legit contenders. Just a horrible take, and a horrible comparison. Ugh. Nope. This is an unusual year. Normally good teams make the wild card. Not this year. It will be a crap fest. The NBA #8 seed analogy is appropriate this year. I'll take bets from anyone who wants to put the Brewers in the NLCS. Troll alert! No real brewer fan would take your user name, imo. But of course I could be wrong. Interesting take though. Ha.
  13. Cardinals lose, Brewers 4 back. This race isn’t over either.
  14. The post above yours provides an example of someone who returned to action in just over 5 weeks. Jeff keppinger couldn't hit his way out of a wet paper bag before he got hurt...let's be real, I want yelich to hit like yelich when he's back, not keppinger. All these are different, i just don't want to look at the rosiest of all possible outcomes I still like the Kirk Gibson moment for Yelich in Game 5, at Miller Park to win the Series vs the Yankees.
  15. Bowden has lots of sources, probably true.
  16. Mets Nats Cubbies DBacks Phillies can battle it out for the wild Card with the Cardinals. We’re taking this division.
  17. We'll probably never know whether Smith was ever on the table for Dubon, but given the choice of a partial season of Smith or a partial season of Pomeranz, and 6 years of Black, I think I'd choose the latter. Given his age and lack of track record, I'm still not sure we get 1 more year of Black, let alone 6. I don't know what to make of Black so far. He's gotten the job done for the most part, but there hasn't been much substance to it. It's been a lot more pitching to contact than I would have expected. But if he can keep the walks low that is a good sign. Great take on Black. He’s hard to barrel, so contact ok, as long as his bb’s stay low, he should continue to be effective. Imo, he has a governor on his power, otherwise we’d have seen 102. But if he can ever truly command his pitches, he’d be unhittable.
  18. It must be readily apparent by now to all of us including the naysayers(understandably so)that this brewers team is not the same team of just 2 weeks ago. Injuries notwithstanding. This team with all the youngins from AAA, who by the way, were a very special team all year, in their own right, have added not just talent, but energy to an already confident September team. I’m not saying Yelich is not a huge loss, it is, after all he’s the best September player in all of baseball, how could he not be missed, but we will get our other wounded back over the course of the next week to 10 days, and that will more than compensate for the loss of Yelich. The intangible factor of the team rallying together can’t be measured by statistics, but will CONTINUE on, not start now, but continue till this team gets to the playoffs.
  19. Meh, Cubs ended up losing. Amazing how this team is just 1 game back. Even still...is ANYONE wishing right now that the Brewers would have made more aggressive trades at the deadline? I'm thrilled with how this team has played. Wouldn't it just be fitting that this is the team that actually wins the World Series? Yes and yes.
  20. That I can safely say is over. Barring a sweep this weekend. Which looks unlikely I’m not listening to you people anymore. You already called it a season months ago.
