  1. Mead is one of the blocked, former top-100 prospects I've considered as another body for 3B. Not sure what to expect from him as his limited MLB time has not been great.
  2. I keep coming back to a deal with Toronto as I continually see their abundance of infield depth and need for a closer. While some are concerned about Bohm's defensive shortcomings, how about a deal with Toronto that includes Ernie Clement, a finalist for the Gold Glove at 3rd base this year? A thought (baseballtradevalues numbers in parenthesis)... Brewers send D. Williams (9.1), Elvis Peguero (5.9) and T Black (12.0) Blue Jays send E. Clement (5.9), and S. Horwitz (28.0) Toronto gets their closer, a second bullpen piece and Black, a Canadian that doesn't fit with our defensive lineup Milwaukee gets a defensive 3rd Baseman (that can move to utility if Boeve or Wilken show they are ready sooner rather than later) and a LH 1st baseman to platoon/replace Hoskins in the future. I know some will be disappointed that Devin doesn't bring back a "bigger name", but I really wonder how much he will garner with only 1 year of control remaining.
  3. Is Luis Rengifo of the Angels an option? He was off to a good start last year before hurting the wrist (that required season-ending surgery). Arbitration estimate is for $5.8million for next year before hitting free agency in 2026. Positives: Only one year deal leaving the possibility of Wilkin or Boeve taking over in 2026. Ability to play other positions on the infield if needed. Switch hitter with better career numbers vs. lefties. Questions: What will the cost be to acquire? Is the wrist ok (reports say he will be ready for Spring Training)? Are we ok with 3rd base not being a "power" spot?
  4. Perkins and Collins don't scream RH power off the bench moving forward. Thoughts...will the Brewers be more apt to hit one of the catchers in the postseason in those spots?
  5. Saw the movie on Saturday in Madison. Really enjoyed it. My son is planning to go today, if for no other reason to verify all my stories over the years are true.😁
  6. Nice win. Bullpen and defense as has been the case for most of the year. The knock against them has been, lack of power will hurt them in the post season...Not tonight thanks to Rhys.
  7. Good things happen on the bunt. Now need a big hit!
  8. Give Murph some credit tonight. Dropped Turang in the order even with RHP starting. Mitchell at DH with a big swing. Made the right move with Hall and Megill (even though I would have considered Hall for the 8th with two LH due up),
  9. The A+ version of Devin tonight!
  10. Good teams find ways to win some games that they have no business winning. This is a good team.
  11. Reports of a locker in the clubhouse for Brewer Hicklen. Hopefully for tomorrow instead of as a move for an IL trip for Chourio.
  12. Heading to the last day of August and YOUR MILWAUKEE BREWERS are tied for the 2nd best record in all of baseball
  13. Great start from Hall. Give the brass something to think about moving forward....6-man rotation?
  14. Looks like a ringing double in the scorebook. 😀
  15. Nice bunt single from Mitchell.
  16. Phillies lose to KC. With a win we move back even with them.
  17. Great win. After slugging to 4 straight wins, now get one with great pitching and a timely HR from Rhys.
  18. With the Brewers listing "TBD" for Sunday's start, will that be Hall's move back into the rotation? (Guess it could also be Ross coming back from the bullpen, but that's so much less exciting)
