I keep coming back to a deal with Toronto as I continually see their abundance of infield depth and need for a closer. While some are concerned about Bohm's defensive shortcomings, how about a deal with Toronto that includes Ernie Clement, a finalist for the Gold Glove at 3rd base this year?
A thought (baseballtradevalues numbers in parenthesis)...
Brewers send D. Williams (9.1), Elvis Peguero (5.9) and T Black (12.0)
Blue Jays send E. Clement (5.9), and S. Horwitz (28.0)
Toronto gets their closer, a second bullpen piece and Black, a Canadian that doesn't fit with our defensive lineup
Milwaukee gets a defensive 3rd Baseman (that can move to utility if Boeve or Wilken show they are ready sooner rather than later) and a LH 1st baseman to platoon/replace Hoskins in the future.
I know some will be disappointed that Devin doesn't bring back a "bigger name", but I really wonder how much he will garner with only 1 year of control remaining.
