  1. I'm just not angry at Counsell for whatever reason. I'm disappointed he went to the Cubs but I get it, too. They gave him a lot of money. I simply don't resent players or coaches following their wallet, I guess. Though I would have preferred him going somewhere other than Wrigley, obviously.
  2. This is why we watch baseball. This series should be a lot of fun.
  3. I predicted the Cubs winning the division going into the season. I'm very impressed with how the Brewers have performed thus far, particularly with the rotation. I was one of the people most down on the patchwork nature of the rotation - which is exacerbated by the Miley loss - but now I'm quite confident the Brewers are going to hang in the division race for most, if not all, of the season. This team's ability to pull someone off of a pile and get 130 good innings out of them is truly astounding.
  4. I'll try to dedicate a little more time to contributing to the game threads. To be completely honest, I haven't been watching much baseball lately. Every so often I go into burnout mode and climb into a hole (this time it's the Red Rising book series). It's probably time for me to crawl out and rejoin the beisboling world (I still read a lot and work on the sites every day but haven't watched much game action).
  5. Back in first as the calendar rolls into May!
  6. Okay, so the pushback on threaded conversations was just as I expected - and I agree that chronological is best - but I have to ask every so often.
  7. Oh, this is an interesting idea. We'd want all the proceeds to go to the writer... I'll have to think about how this might work.
  8. Traffic as a whole is WAY UP. Forum traffic has been relatively steady from 2022-present. Game threads are down a bit this season, which isn't super-surprising given how contentious they can get. Really, there's nothing "wrong" with the site as a whole and it's in a very stable place right now. Traffic is higher than it ever was as BF.net. But that doesn't mean it's perfect or that it shouldn't be improved. I've kinda been ignoring the forums for awhile now and want to get my finger back on the pulse of them. By the way, we have the option to format by conversation instead of the traditional forum format of chronological. But I know forum users ******* HATE that idea. Personally, I'm not against it, I just really want to do what's right for the community and if you all say jump, I'll try my damnedest to jump.
  9. As always, if you are not comfortable sharing something publicly, I'm always available via PM.
  10. I'm not really targeting this conversation about anything specific, I just want to get a read on what people think about the state of the forums and where they would like to see improvement. This could be technical in nature but mostly, I'm curious what people think of the tone, the conversations, and the general demeanor of the community. If you have gripes or compliments or whatever, share them here. I haven't been very active lately (on any of the sites, frankly) and like to check in periodically to gauge how things are going.
  11. With a middle finger? (the copy was given to me by FOCO, blame them, I'm fixing it now)
  12. It is a request, one I have to manually run. And the dumbass admin control panel doesn't alert me of the request so I have to click into that section manually, which I have just done for timpep.
  13. AND BRICE TURANG STEALS HIS RECORD 269TH BASE OF THE SEASON
  14. Our automated method of what?
  15. The Rays were just swept by the Chicago White Sox. Ouch.
  16. I checked out at 4-4 to get my kids through that bath and
  17. Yesterday was one game. Move on and get the series win.
  18. One of the most fascinating baseball profiles I’ve read. It speaks deeply to what mental illness can do to one’s life in such a variety of ways.
  19. Off to a good start against the Yankees, let's do it again!
  20. FOCO is a partner with Brewer Fanatic and support of their products helps support this site; 100% of the funds/materials received from these promotions go directly to our users in the form of prizes and gifts. An all time Milwaukee Brewers great is now a part of FOCO’s illustrious Milwaukee Brewers bobblehead collection. The power hitting shortstop and center fielder, nicknamed “The Kid,” who played all 20 years with the Milwaukee Brewers, is known as the perennial offensive weapon of the Brew Crew recording record after record year after year. The 3 time all-star and former National League two-time MVP and beloved Brewer for life, Robin Yount, is ready to make his way to your bobblehead collection with a little twist on it. This morning, our friends at FOCO have just released a Robin Yount Milwaukee Brewers Magnetic Stadium Base Bobblehead. FOCO wants to make sure us Brewers fans are paying tribute to a true legend of the game now and forever. The concept of this bobblehead is really cool as the base is a detachable magnet that displays Milwaukee County Stadium on the inside of the detachable magnet. Yount is repping his home white home Brewers uniform standing in an action pose on top of the detachable magnetic base as he salutes with his hat to the Crew faithful. As most of FOCO’s bobbleheads are, this is a limited-edition piece with only 124 units being made standing proudly at 7 inches tall set a retail price of $80. Like all FOCO bobbleheads, each one is hand crafted and painted so that no two bobbleheads look exactly alike creating a unique and diverse presence to every collectible FOCO creates. Make sure to click on any one of the links in this article to grab a Robin Yount Milwaukee Brewers Magnetic Stadium Base Bobblehead for your own or for a friend before they are all gone and cheer on your Brew Crew in style!
  21. Things are going to get a lot tougher over the weekend as the Yankees come to town.
