  1. CC a "longshot" to Cleveland. Most likely ends up back in Milwaukee... https://www.cleveland.com/browns/2023/10/nobody-asked-me-but-can-guardians-land-a-long-shot-deshaun-watsons-arm-terry-pluto.html
  2. Not enough from the Brewers' perspective. Way too much to the Padres.
  3. Yeah. We'll see. They'll probably have to either give into that or add to their $100 million contribution.
  4. Chourio is obviously going to be the top priority in this OF. I think you put him in CF from the moment he makes his debut. Frelick is probably then the safest bet with the bat. His best fit imo is in LF, which would obviously require a shift of Yelich to 1B or DH. RF is then up for grabs between Taylor, Mitchell, and Wiemer. Something like a Mitchell-Wiemer platoon would probably be the most ideal. But they also have more questions with the bat than a guy like Tyrone Taylor who was a huge part of why we ended up running away with the division in September. Eventually, I think you trade him, but for now I think he's gotta be the starter. Wiemer starts the season in AAA.
  5. Because the Brewers want to keep ticket prices low. They have some of the lowest prices in baseball, which they argue allows more people to come to games.
  6. Chourio finishes 3/4, 1 BB. Would've been 4/4 but got robbed of a hit in his second at-bat.
  7. Wow. Great game. Hopefully it's like this for the rest of the series.
  8. Wow. Corey Seager!
  9. Im pretty sure a team like the Dodgers would have little problem offering him a contract this offseason. Elite pitchers like him are really hard to come by, and they've done something similar in the past. As long as Woody and his agent are willing to be reasonable, I have little problem with a potential deal.
  10. I'd rather trade Devin Williams to the Orioles for Ortiz and Heston Kjerstad.
  11. You seriously want to talk to me about condescending? Tell me, what do the words "freakishly ridiculous to abandon that fact" convey? I forgot one word in an honest error that sometimes occurs when you're posting in a hurry or from a phone. I'm well aware of the fact that the Brewers have been in a World Series, considering it's in my freaking username. No spinning necessary. But go on....
  12. If he and his agent are willing to be reasonable about it, I have no issues with a 2 for 1 deal, with maybe an option added. Julio Urias, for instance, had this surgery in 2017 and went right back to being an ace afterwards until this year. Granted, he was much younger, but Woody's not that old, either.
  13. FWIW, BTV has Williams with more value than Burnes right now due to the extra year....
  14. Calm down. No one’s abandoning that fact. I forgot one word. It happens.
  15. Title. We haven’t won one last time I checked.

  17. Yep definitely worth the risk. Interestingly, all it took for the Dbacks to decide to extend Carroll was one month. Mariners waited a little longer with Rodriguez and it cost them a more.
  18. Neither Caminero or Mead are going to be able to play SS in the majors. Or at the very least on a full-time basis. They do, however, also have Carson Williams who is in AA and a top 50 prospect.
  19. Technically, it would be their second World Series...
  20. I wonder how CC would feel watching another manager lead the Brewers to their first World Series, when he had the opportunity to do so and probably get a statue/his number retired/HOF, etc....He's stated in the past how he feels like that's the only thing he has left to accomplish in baseball, and that statement would all of a sudden feel really hollow. Ultimately, the team will be fine one way or another due to my belief in this FO and the remarkable talent pipeline they've developed. But I can't say there won't be any sore feelings whatsoever on my end if he leaves us hanging to join forces with Cohen and Stearns, especially if Attanasio is willing to be competitive salary-wise. It's pretty natural imo.
  21. I personally hate Marquette and have zero interest in ever rooting for them, but that's just because I'm a UW Alum and proud season ticket-holder lol.
  22. There’s a reason why blue font is a feature. So there’s zero doubt.
