  1. Should have struck out 2 pitches earlier.
  2. Feels like Civale is about to give the lead right back here.
  3. Tied for the 2nd hardest hit ball of Chourio's career. He's hit 12 balls 105 EV or higher this season, 6 of them have been in July. I think it's safe to say that he's arrived.
  4. Probably makes sense to just wait until after the picks sign and deadline.
  5. So what are everyone's thoughts on Hudson? Does he need an IL stint? Even after the 5 day ASB, he looked absolutely gassed on the mound. That 2nd inning his FB was sitting 88-89 and he still is hardly using the sweeper. I feel like they need to just bite the bullet and stick him on the 15 day IL in hopes a couple weeks off gets him looking like early season Hudson again.
  6. Nevermind it was posted on twitter so everyone can see it. What a game from EBJ!
  7. EBJ also had an absolute circus catch in foul territory in the top of the 8th inning. 3:50:20 for those with MiLB.tv who want to see it. Really hope this good start to July means EBJ has a big 2nd half coming. He's such an athletic player. If he can even hit at a decent level he could be a great utility infielder.
  8. Jesus Rivero really is an A-ball version of Freddy Peralta. Just kills himself with inconsistency and inability to put hitters away all the time. 1-2 count with nobody on and 2 outs in the 2nd inning turns into a BB then balk then RBI single. Then an 0-2 count turns into another BB and a 2-2 count turns into another BB. Then a 5 pitch BB to bring in a run and Rivero's day is done. 1.2 IP, 2H, 2 ER (leaving with bases loaded), 4 BB, 2 SO. Such a talented young pitcher, but just plagued with serious control and consistency issues.
  9. It's plenty reasonable to have expected more than a 100 ERA- from Peralta when he's been at 88, 88, 67, 89 the previous 4 seasons. Last season 16 of his 30 starts were QS. This year 7 of 19 starts have been quality starts. He hasn't been a good 2/3 this season. This season he's been an average 4.
  10. I do wonder if Tyler Rodriguez might get moved to Carolina when the season ends in Arizona. He's had a nice hitting season. 125 wRC+ coming into tonight with a 16% BB-rate and 14% K-rate.
  11. Blake Burke might start in Carolina for like a week or so because there's no ACL to get a prospect up to speed although I wouldn't be surprised if he just goes straight to Wisconsin.
  12. Milner also has really good peripherals this season, so it's not like he's just been getting smashed like Payamps. Plenty of reason for a team to believe that there's better ahead of him for this year. I'm a big Hoby guy, but if the Brewers could swap Hoby out for a younger, cheaper reliever with options, it probably would make sense with the RP log jam we have in front of us. I know Zastryzny's sample is really small, but I honestly am buying his success. He's totally changed his pitch mix and this pitch mix was dominating in AAA.
  13. The ACL Brewers final game is a week from now. I would bet we see Bitonti in Carolina either next weekend or a week and a half from now.
  14. Would be shocking if he wasn’t.
  15. Yeah a bit lower of a rate, but there were only 10 fewer HS drafted this year compared to last year so it wasn't like a huge gap.
  16. Jose Anderson really flashed the tools today. Hit - 2 hits and a BB Power - Double Speed - 2 SB Defense - 7th outfield assist of the season
  17. Camilo gave up a 2 out game tying HR to Dodgers #17 prospect Emil Morales. To extras we go.
  18. Brewers 1 with a 9-3 win over the Reds in a 7-inning game. A lot of good offensive performances from the team. Handelfry Encarnacion - 2-4 HR, 3 RBI, 2 R Jesus Made - 0-2 2 BB, 2 R Luis Pena - 2-3 2B, BB, 2 RBI, R, 2 SB Juan Ortuno - 2-4 R, SB Kevin Garcia - 2-4 2B, RBI, R, SB Engel Paulino - 1-2 2B, BB, 2 RBI, CS Joandrew Pena - 1-3 2B, R Jeremy George - 1-2 BB, R
  19. Looks like he turned 17 a little over a month ago and that he had an injury of some sorts. He played 3 times in early June then didn't play again until last week.
  20. Handelfry Encarnacion with his first HR of his professional career today! A 3-run HR to put Brewers 1 up 3-1 in the bottom of the 5th in a 7-inning affair against the 21-10 DSL Reds.
  21. Argenis Aparicio with another solid start today. 5 IP, 5 H, 3 R, 2 ER, 0 BB, 6 SO. I assume he's done for the day, but maybe they have him go back out for the 6th.
  22. I think it’s safe to say Adamczewski is not a SS at this point but a 2B. 2B is the only position he’s played since he was drafted.
  23. I really hope Anthony Flores gets the bump to Carolina when the ACL season ends. I know his ERA isn’t good but his peripherals are quite strong.
  24. 4 straight K’s which likely will be the end of his outing.
