The Top 5 of that lineup really excites me and I do hope they opt to go with Chourio at leadoff. I'm a big proponent of just putting your best hitters at the top of the order.

ST ultimately really means nothing, but man I hope Hoskins can be back to his career norms this year. If he put up a 120 wRC+, 30+ HR season it would be a massive development for the Crew.

Agreed. I hope they don't shoehorn Turang into the leadoff spot. This 1-5 would be my 1-5 on opening day then you could adjust based on how the year goes.

I'll feel much better about him when he really nails down that slider and cutter.

I also want to add that though he didn't have enough competitive swings to meet the minimum 200 swing threshold you used, Oliver Dunn had an average bat speed of 75.2 and a 92nd percentile sprint speed. Feel like many fans don't realize he's as tooled up as he is. Like Mitchell he also had a very elite chase rate and graded out very well defensively at 3B in his limited sample last year. Dunn has contact issues like Mitchell but he's a potential breakout candidate as well if he can up the contact rate.

Not to mention Misiorowski is still a string bean. I doubt he ever fills out his frame to the extent Hudson and Megill have, but there's still plenty of room to fill out more.

I mean that last part isn’t remotely true. Most people here believe Misiorowski at this point is more likely to end up in an MLB bullpen than rotation.

So you’re tired of him being talked about as a SP while you readily admit he will be a SP in the minors? That doesn’t make much sense.

Because he is a SP prospect. The biggest reason he even went into the bullpen towards the end of last season was because he was coming up on his season innings limit and needed to reduce his workload in a bullpen role. Just because he’s a SP prospect doesn’t mean that will ultimately be his MLB role but yes he’s a SP for now.

That’s like saying the Brewers should have traded Hader because he lost trade value going from SP prospect to RP in the majors.

The Brewers are absolutely going to have him starting games in AAA to open the season. That doesn’t mean his eventual MLB role will be a SP but it’s been heavily reported that the org still views him as a potential SP longterm.

You missed that Bryan Hudson threw a changeup! Was classified as a cutter and the RPM number was surely bugged but it was 84mph with -1 IVB and 15 inches of arm side run. Savant incorrectly classified it as a cutter.

Something to keep an eye on. Looks like Bryan Hudson threw a changeup today. That rogue cutter is a changeup. I went back and looked at the video and it definitely looked like a changeup and changeup grip.
