  1. Birchard in his first game action since 4/6 gave up an ER in the 1st inning on a 2-out single by rehabbing Max Muncy (A's) and double. He had 2 strikeouts including 1 against fellow Brewer and also rehabbing Esteury Ruiz. To be seen if he comes out for the 2nd inning.
  2. This draft was pretty similar to last year. Heavy pitcher and heavy high school.
  3. Gholston only threw 0.1 innings for Oklahoma and has a 6.51 ERA in the Appalachian League in 27.2 innings. Watts had a 7.12 ERA for Auburn in 30.1 IP. Morton had a 2.87 ERA for Texas A&M in 15.2 IP (tons of walks though) and a 2.25 ERA in 4 innings in the Cape Cod League
  4. Contreras and Yelich are hitting 5th and 6th
  5. 113 high schoolers were drafted in this draft. Brewers drafted 12 (10.6%). How many of the 12 do the Brewers sign?
  6. Last year 16 of the 21 picks were pitchers.
  7. The 2023 draft class was a class that looked really good even before you factored in potential round 11-20 picks and the amount of 11-20 picks they signed made it look even greater and a year later it has aged extremely well. I think this 2024 draft class could look good on August 1st, but it will be a lot more reliant on how well they do signing these round 11-20 guys. If they can sign both Broughton and Nunnallee I would feel pretty good overall about the draft. Not as good as last year, but still good overall. Ultimately it will be years before we find out if it was good or bad.
  8. Someone help me out haha. I'm too tired to do it again
  9. And you also need to consider that many of these agreements are handshake deals made before they are 16 years old
  10. I'm feeling pretty skeptical that they sign him, but after last season you really never know. Virginia has done a really nice job churning out catchers recently.
  11. Prospects Live most recent update had Broughton at #190
  12. And once again let Ginger Poulson cook haha
  13. Looks like he was a late riser and has big spin on his FB
  14. Still 8 rounds left, but I have to say these first 2 picks are not what I was expecting.
  15. Looks like the anthem singer was drunk last night and is checking herself into a rehab facility.
  16. DSL Brewers 1 game is suspended after 2 innings. Luis Pena had an RBI triple in the 1st inning, so I'm sure he will want that game to be resumed.
  17. Also if you're going to continue to spam non-sensical trades multiple times a week please at least learn how to actually spell names. It's Peguero and Blalock not Pegoura and Blaylock.
  18. No the Rays would not trade for 4 players on our 40-man roster....the Rays are judicial with their 40-man handling. They'd laugh you off the phone if you called them with that offer.
  19. I just am not a fan of the time limit format. People didn't fall in love with the HR Derby because hitters were spamming 15-20 HR in a span of 3 minutes, they fell in love with it watching guys hit majestic moonshots where you can sit and watch the glory of said moonshot. Now it's a split screen because it's so rapid fire and the rapid fire nature means you're getting fewer moonshots. Also think the HR Derby was more fun when the guys participating were gigantic humans.
  20. Well this HR Derby will forever be memorable and it hasn't even started yet. One of the worst anthems I've ever hear.
  21. I've seen some reports mention that Molina gained weight and was heavier. 6'2 230 is pretty big for a college kid.
  22. Alright now no need for Isaac Collins shade!
