  1. Definitely isn't the Brewers MO to spend big on a RP in a trade so you're right there.
  2. Here are Misiorowski's 8 strikeouts for those who didn't get to see
  3. Misiorowski just mowed down the final hitter in the 2nd inning on 3 sliders at 93, 93, 94 mph.
  4. Pratt has been removed from the game. Please be okay.
  5. I'd put him at a 95% chance of him not ever pitching in Nashville. Rodriguez was just optioned to AAA. I'd bet Keuchel makes that next start in the rotation.
  6. Yeah C-Rod down. Gasser to 60-day then Kuhnel DFA'd for Keuchel before Keuchel's start.
  7. This is a good move. Send Rodriguez back to AAA and see if Keuchel can give us even a month of decent pitching even if the peripherals suck. Best case scenario is Keuchel ends up being this year's version of Julio Teheran. Worst case scenario we gave up cash for a couple bad starts.
  8. Very strange situation. Seems like he's been battling injury all season. Velo was down. On and off the IL.
  9. Bauers the pinch hitter extraordinaire? He has 13 PA with a wRC+ north of 200 as a pinch hitter this season. Definitely a sample size that should be take seriously in my opinion.
  10. Megill was pretty juiced up today. Coming into today he had thrown 22 pitches 100.0 or harder on the season. Tonight he threw 10 of them and averaged 100.3 on his FB.
  11. Blake Perkins having a really nice game today. Reached base 3 times and 2 SB with one of the SB leading directly to a run
  12. Here's a crazy stat. Of the Brewers 11 regulars (not counting bench guys like Monasterio, Dunn, Miller or recently promoted prospects like Black) Brice Turang's .139 ISO is 2nd on the team since the offense started slumping on 5/17 in Houston. We are close to 6 weeks of a teamwide power slump that has Brice Turang as the second best "power" hitter on the team.
  13. Of the 26 players with 100 PA at DH this season, Winker's 129 wRC+ would be 9th best between Schwarber and Stanton. Who do the Brewers currently have putting up 129 wRC+ at the DH spot?
  14. DSL Brewers 2 beat DSL Brewers 1 in a 2-1 low scoring affair. Some DSL Brewers 2 performers: Kevin Ereu - 2-4 2B, R Jose Anderson - 0-2 2 BB, SB Luis Corobo - 1-3 HBP, RBI Frederi Montero - 1-2 BB, R, SB Jonathan Rangel - 2-2 2B, BB, RBI Paul Hoff - 5 IP, 2 H, 1 ER, 3 BB, 2 SO Johan Zapata - 2 IP, 0 H, 0 ER, 0 BB, 1 SO Some DSL Brewers 1 performers: Luis Pena - 1-3 2B Gabriel Colmenarez - 1 IP, 0 H, 0 ER, 1 BB, 2 SO, 1 HBP Ranwell Smith: 2.2 IP, 1 H, 0 ER, 1 BB, 3 SO
  15. It’s just like if he was drafted in 2021. He’s Rule 5 eligible this offseason and then I believe would have 2 more seasons before he would hit minor league free agency (I’m not 100% sure if the timing is right there)
  16. Well some of us were worried that we hadn’t seen Hayden Robinson our 14th round pick from last season who was off to such a promising start in the ACL pitch since early June and it turns out he needs Tommy John. What a disappointing development for the young man.
  17. Honestly that 4 game series at Coors is what scares me the most. Feel like we've played some really bad baseball at Coors the last few years.
  18. His slider went from a really good pitch last year that he threw 44% of the time to arguably his worst pitch this season. I'm starting to get pretty worried about him. He was fortunate to only give up the 1 run today. Padres were smacking him around they just didn't find gaps. Hopefully whatever the issue is can be fixed.
  19. Would not at all surprise me if Adams and O'Rae were 1-2 on pitches seen per PA in the Midwest League. I think 33% swing rate is way too low though. I think that's probably crossing the line when it comes to the passive/patient conversation, but Adams is only 20 years old and has plenty of time to find that balance as he moves up through the system. He's cleaned up his swing quite a bit from this point a year ago, so I have a lot of hope we will continue to work things out and put up results in the minors.
  20. No Letson start this week. That's a bit of a bummer.
  21. Adams and O'Rae just don't swing much in general. O'Rae had one of the lowest swing rates in the league. I think Adams swing rate is around 33% which is outlier low. It's hard to swing and miss when you're just not swinging. Not saying that Adams/O'Rae swing and miss a lot they don't but their very low swing rates will definitely impact those swinging strike numbers.
  22. It almost feels like they are trying to inflate Garcia and Valerio's trade value by having them put up some numbers in A+ and having Garcia play a bunch of different positions to show he provides defensive flexibility.
  23. Those aren’t the pitchers they are shopping. They would be shopping Severino, Quintana, Manaea and would have Senga, Scott and Butto as guys that would go into their rotation if any of the former 3 were traded.
