  1. They've already made me feel happy about this season. Though if they choke a top 2 seed in the NL I might be less happy.
  2. And ideally Quero is up from Day 1 next year considering he is down to his last option next season and you’d probably prefer not to burn that.
  3. And McCalvy said ideally Ashby would go 1 time through the order. Asking Ashby to go 3 innings today after throwing 36 pitches with 2 up-downs just 2 days ago feels like you're tempting fate to put another pitcher on the IL.
  4. I do not think the Brewers are punting this game. If they were they wouldn't be using their second best healthy RP to open the game.
  5. I’m going to hold up on celebrating a minor flexor strain until we have more clarity. I remember when Henderson went on the IL it was better than expected and he was expected to be back soon. Now he’s on the 60-Day IL and effectively done for the year.
  6. This is a pretty massive blow. There’s a non-zero chance that Megill threw his last pitch as a Brewer in 2025
  7. Getting beyond the Blue Jays and Phillies series and the 19 in 18 stretch with a 5 game lead in the division would feel like a really great spot to be.
  8. Your magic number to clinch the postseason is off by 1 because the Brewers own the tiebreaker over the Reds. Reds have 65 losses so the most wins they can get is 97. Brewers have 83 wins which would make the magic number 14 not 15. Also for the same reason your magic number for the Pirates to be eliminated is off by 1 as well. Brewers have the tiebreaker over the Pirates and Pirates have 75 losses. Most wins they can get is 87 which means the magic number to eliminate them is 4.
  9. I think the Brewers as a minor league system maxed out at 45 games over .500 earlier this year. They are now sitting at 21 games over .500 after an 0-4 night last night. There’s been a lot of losing during the second half of the minor league season.
  10. If Letson's health allows it, I'd bet he heads to the AFL after an injury took away much of his season.
  11. Not happening without the Brewers adding to the lead. I'd guess Tobias gets 2 at most 3 innings if the lead remains 3 (or gets smaller)
  12. With today's game he's 9.2 innings over last year's total. Not 20. At least try to get your numbers close to right if you're going to have a fit.
  13. Unless he's injured, he will most certainly not be completely shut down before the end of the season
  14. When you misidentify a sinker that has 18 inches of arm side movement for a FB that has 6 inches of arm side movement you might take a pitch that you thought was going to be inside but ended up well over the plate.
  15. Brewers definitely drew the unfortunate schedule in terms of that.
  16. Ha great point with the games either being at home or in LA/SanDiego.
  17. It never ceases to amaze me that many who criticized Durbin because he wasn't good his first 50-60 MLB PA now get so mad that Durbin loses some playing time to someone who hasn't been good his first 50-60 MLB PA.
  18. Which is part of a 17 in 17 stretch. It's certainly a tough schedule in terms of lack of off days from June 1st to the end of the year. You have two 17 in 17 and a 16 in 16. Also have 2 week long west coast road trips in a span of 3 weeks.
