  1. Pratt last played on 3/29 before he signed his extension on 4/3.
  2. They held Pratt out of games before he signed his extension.
  3. Bruised I know you talk about this a lot but the numbers do not back up that the Brewers are feast or famine as an offense. 3 or fewer runs - 24 times (3rd lowest) I can't seperate 4-5 runs from 6+ runs so I will just do 4+ and 6+ runs 4 or more runs - 39 times (T7th most) 6 or more runs - 26 times (6th most)
  4. I don't think the Brewers can afford to trade Vaughn with how well he's crushing LHP. Hitting LHP has been a weak point for the offense this year.
  5. Per the full interview with Sweet, Lara has been with the team and taking part in the off field workouts still.
  6. Pratt signed his extension when the Brewers were on the road I believe.
  7. He basically has a full season's worth of PA and innings in his career and has 4.2 fWAR and 4.6 bWAR. This is a really solid player and there's so much room for improvement. We have seen the Brewers help Bauers reach his full potential as a hitter so I still have some hope for Mitchell improving as a hitter as well.
  8. QO this year was $22M. Probably close to $23M next year.
  9. Just one opinion but I think articles like these are insulting to the good quality content that gets put out on this site. Brewers are 40-23 which is the fastest they have been to 40 wins in franchise history and we have an article like this getting put in the same place as well thought out articles from guys like Jack, Jake, Matthew, etc.. It just feels like this is being posted to try and get rage bait clicks and interactions and I think your site is better than that.
  10. I’m sorry @Brock Beauchamp but what is this? Brewers are 40-23 and you’re green lighting an article talking about trading 4 key players for the team?
  11. Mitchell back up to a 116 wRC+ after today. I get he does it in not the most pleasing way but he's a good player and has such a high ceiling.
  12. Rom has 5 years of team control and 2 option years remaining.
  13. Correct. He's already eligible to come off the 60 Day IL
  14. Hope you get to witness something special with Misiorowski today
  15. I feel you though he will be in there tomorrow for sure with a LHP on the mound.
  16. Koenig unfortunately looked pretty rough on his rehab assignment again. Velo is like 4-5mph down from where it was last year.
  17. You don't need to wait until the appeal is over. You can drop the appeal and just serve the suspension.
  18. Splitter that hung up in the zone a bit. Very hittable but not like a huge meatball. PCA is unfortunately a very, very good baseball player.
  19. I need to see the swing that hit this pitch out lol
  20. Rom has been an OOTP gem for me this year so I've been rooting for him. Could get his chance with all the injuries to LHP. Still just 26 with 2 option years left.
  21. Sproat just doesn't have good enough stuff to get hitters out when he's catching too much of the zone. He doesn't have Ashby level stuff. He needs to be on the edges and mixing pitches. When you have three below average stuff fastballs you can't just throw without being concerned about location.
  22. At this point even though the whiff issues are still very real, I think you need to promote Fischer to AA. I think he might need to be challenged more and even fail to start making adjustments that are necessary to get him to his potential.
  23. Yeah I feel you. I don't have a crystal ball or anything but if I had to guess I think he ends up as like a 6th/7th inning reliever where he can sit 98/99 in short spurts and overcome the shape issues on his pitches with raw velo. Maybe I'll be wrong. I hope I'm wrong but I just don't think there's a simplistic fix for him. He just needs to be better and I'm not sure how realistic it is for the fastball shapes to improve or the command to improve.
  24. Just continuing my previous post but when I talked about Sproat not having great spin capacity on his hard stuff this is what I mean. Of 82 pitchers with 100 cutters thrown this year, Sproat's average spin rate is 79th and about 500rpm lower than the lowest spin rate year Burnes ever had on his cutter. Of 305 pitchers with 100 four seamers thrown this year, Sproat's average spin rate is 298th. Of 177 pitchers with 100 sinkers thrown this year, Sproat's average spin rate is 169th.
