  1. There's not many. Especially when you factor in age. Wood for example was 20 years old when he did that in AA not 22 like Fischer is. Filtering 2006 to 2026 in A+ with minimum 250 AB and a K-rate north of 30% and wRC+ greater than 120 wRC+. That is 40 players. Like @CheeseheadInQC mentioned Elly is the cream of the crop with a 160 wRC+ and 30.7% K-rate though he was also in his age 20 season when he did that. Matt Wallner had a 33% K-rate in A+ and has a 122 wRC+ over his first 1100 MLB PA. Heriberto Hernandez had a 31% K-rate in A+ and has a 110 wRC+ over his first 400 MLB PA. Some other young MLB guys who made the list are Carson Williams and Henry Bolte. A lot of names I don't recognize some names that I recognize but didn't really pan out at the big league level like Bobby Dalbec. Here's the link to that minor league search - https://www.fangraphs.com/leaders/minor-league?pos=all&level=3&lg=&stats=bat&qual=0&type=1&team=&season=2006&seasonEnd=2026&org=all&ind=0&splitTeam=false&players=&sort=19,1&filter=K%|gt|0.3,AB|gt|250,wRC%2B|gt|120&pg=0
  2. Here's some Frias side view both normal speed and some slow mo from tonight courtesy of BA's Josh Norris.
  3. Longenhagen talked about Frias a bit during his chat earlier today.
  4. Someone mentioned it over on BCB but we were potentially a short Chad Fairchild fuse away from a perfect game for Misiorowski. I'm sure there's more than one ump in the league who tosses Schwarber after he struck out in the first inning.
  5. Dreaded flexor strain for Crow. Not ideal. Injuries are really starting to add up with the pitching staff. 10 pitchers on the IL and only one healthy pitcher on the 40 in AAA in McGee.
  6. Hate being a strong word is basically entirely my point. I don't understand how fans can feel that passionately about other teams and fanbases. I obviously don't want the Cubs and Cardinals and I don't like them or want them to win but I don't hate them. I also don't just blindly hate all the players on their team.
  7. I've never understood the hate aspect of fandom. It all just feels so weird to me to hate teams or fans based on where you were born.
  8. Do not love seeing this from Koenig. Velo was way down today compared to his season average and his season average is like 1-2 ticks below where he was last year.
  9. You feel that strongly that the Brewers will trade Contreras this offseason? Honestly even if they trade Contreras, I think they would be looking for a catcher via trade/FA to at least split time with Quero.
  10. ESPN has him at 23 and BA at 31 so seems like consensus would be late 20's.
  11. Mitchell is already in Arb 1 at $950K. He's not going to get expensive in arb because he's had so many injuries and hasn't racked up playing time or numbers. I'm also not sure why people say we need to be patient with him. He has a 116 wRC+.
  12. He's more capable of playing in the infield than players who have never played in the infield. Yes that's blatantly obvious. That doesn't mean he's capable of starting and playing 9 innings at 3B.
  13. You were talking about Vaughn starting games and play full games at 3B. He slid there today for an inning because they burned their entire bench. These are not the same things.
  14. He's currently 185th on their overall list.
  15. No I don't think it is the end of the guy with a 116 wRC+'s time in Milwaukee.
  16. Absolutely and it's a big reason why we should be thankful to have even won one game in this series. The A's offense is far more translatable to taking advantage of this park than the Brewers.
  17. I don't think this park needs juiced balls to play this way. It's 3000ft above sea level in a very hot/dry environment in a park where the wind consistently blows out and doesn't have the third deck to block out the wind. This park is one of the most hitter friendly parks in the PCL and the PCL is already the most (or second most) hitter friendly league in full season minor league ball. I think a good example that illustrates this is the foul pop up Rengifo caught yesterday. That ball was ticketed for the stands but the wind blew it like 20-30ft and into play and that was on a pop up going against the wind. Now imagine how that impacts any balls hit to CF/RF that are actually riding that wind.
  18. Cutter velo was where it was last year. Sinker velo was down 2.5mph compared to last year
  19. The only reason that happened was because the super shift was still a thing and 2B didn't need to have any range. Shaw would have never moved to 2B if the shift ban was a thing.
  20. It's just not going to happen. Vaughn is not going to play anywhere other there 1B and DH because that's all the he can play. Him playing 10 innings at 3B half a decade ago just doesn't matter at all.
  21. Only one of those players started tonight and he did so at 3B. Andrew Vaughn can't play 3B
  22. Vaughn's 80 wRC+ against RHP is 10th on the active roster only ahead of Rengifo, Ortiz, and Perkins
  23. Really bad offensive performance today. One of the worst of the year frankly.
  24. Brewers have one batted ball tonight between 20 and 40 LA playing in the most hitter friendly park you can play in. Not ideal. Would be cool if they were saving them all for the 9th inning I guess.
