  1. Bases loaded, 1 out down 3-1 in the final inning of the game and Jesus Chirinos has one of the least competitive AB you will ever see. Looks like he wanted to get back to the dugout as fast as he possibly could.
  2. I'd really love for Greg to get a chance to call Brewers games someday. He's a great listen.
  3. Really feels like things are coming together for Gasser. The results don't exactly scream great, but I think he's pitched very well in his last 4 starts. Tonight he was a couple infield singles and 90 EV HR away from a dominant start.
  4. Noah Campbell just absolutely crushed one. There's no statcast data on it right now and I'm praying we get it eventually because that was a bomb.
  5. 3 super cheap HR in the game today. Winker's 94 EV bomb and Jacksonville's 2 90 EV bombs.
  6. Even with a short porch those balls are carrying a ridiculous amount. 90 EV balls should never be going out of the park.
  7. Awful batted ball sequence for Gasser here. 90 EV HR is just hilarious
  8. 94 EV HR. Hard to get excited about that.
  9. Honestly Brewers did pretty well for themselves in FA between Anderson and Miley. A lot of the bigger dollar FA signings haven't looked too good so far this year.
  10. Good. Get all of their runs out of the way against Pittsburgh before they play us.
  11. I think they can give him all the time in the world. (Lauer himself said he expects the rehab assignment to be longer). Teheran and Rea have both been solid as depth guys. Miley makes a rehab start on Sunday and has said he only expects himself to need the 1 rehab assignment. With Miley back in the next two weeks, Lauer can take all the time he needs.
  12. Was interesting how heavy Peralta went to his FB. Think he threw it almost 70% of the time. It was a good adjustment by him/Contreras to rely on it that much last night when the Orioles could barely touch it.
  13. Didn’t really seem like Lauer was actually pitching to win. 59 pitches and 46 of them being FB when they couldn’t touch his secondaries feels like he’s just trying to mechanically get right and get the velo back on his FB. He averaged 92 last night which is between the 93 last year and 91 on the season which I think is an alright start.
  14. Just insane pitching from him lol. We had a 100% whiff rate that innings and I really can't be mad about it.
  15. They haven't announced anything but it does feel like TJ is probably inevitable after the PRP injection didn't work.
  16. Two times tonight. Toro and Urias should both have errors but they were both called singles.
  17. deGrom getting TJ surgery.
  18. Brewers current wRC+ is 87. If you swapped the 242 DH PA at 55 WRC+ for 242 DH PA at 100 wRC+, the Brewers team wRC+ would be about 92 so still not good at all. DH is obviously a huge issue but it is far from the only issue. C - 108 wRC+ (6th) 1B - 97 wRC+ (19th) 2B - 87 wRC+ (18th) SS - 67 wRC+ (28th) 3B - 116 wRC+ (6th) LF - 104 wRC+ (13th) CF - 98 wRC+ (20th) RF - 52 wRC+ (30th) DH - 55 wRC+ (28th) We are in the bottom 3 at 3 different positions and 2 of those positions are positions you are supposed to get excess offensive value from (DH and RF). I guess the silver lining is Tyrone, Winker, Voit, (and soon Turang) are not longer on the roster and they were the biggest culprits to the poor numbers at those positions.
  19. Old friend Jace Peterson must not like the Brewers. 1 out bases loaded and he strikes out swinging.
  20. That seems pretty notable. When is the last time the Brewers had a 17 year old pitcher completely skip the DSL? Has it ever happened?
  21. I come bearing even worse news now. In the play by play for those games they don't show any balls besides wild pitches. So there very possibly could have been balls as well. We know for certain that he struck out the side though!
  22. Potentially had an immaculate inning. We can't see the AB data so there possibly could have been a foul ball.
  23. Wiemer was 1-1 with a HR and BB against Abbott last season in AA.
