  1. Because the offensive environment was down last season...that's why his league adjusted numbers (OPS+ and wRC+) were basically the same despite the raw numbers slightly falling off.
  2. BA making that comment on the broadcast today that the Brewers value production more than pedigree was absolutely hilarious when we have Freddy in the rotation still, Winker and Adames hitting 2-3. Could not be more incorrect.
  3. The best buddies (Adames, Freddy, Urias) have absolutely stunk it up this season. Last year they combined for 8.9 fWAR. This year they are on pace for 2.5 fWAR
  4. Freddy Peralta's first 2 starts this season - 12 IP, 1 ER, 0.75 ERA Freddy Peralta's last 12 starts- 61.1 IP, 39 ER, 5.72 ERA I think it's time to put Freddy in the pen. Swap him and Houser and let Freddy be a high leverage pen guy. His command has been too bad to be a starting pitcher.
  5. Martinez with another horrible defensive play at 1B abandoning the base and leaving Jimenez stuck in no-man's land with no play at 1B. It's the 2nd inning and Martinez has already cost the Rattlers 2 outs.
  6. Jimenez gives up a 2 out triple a couple of pitches after Ernesto Martinez drops a pop-up in foul territory. Jimenez avoids damage, but my goodness the defense at 1B in Wisconsin and Carolina this season would leave you thinking 1B is the hardest defensive position in the sport.
  7. I don't think it will be imminent. They said they are going to slowly work him back with lots of off days. Maybe by the beginning of July.
  8. Darrell Thompson with a dominant 7th inning for Nashville. Struck out the side with ease.
  9. His double was pretty hilarious. Hit a chopper so hard that it bounced over the 3B head and went down the LF line for a double. He was due for a bit of BABIP luck though.
  10. Sal Frelick might be back. Just ripped a 101 EV HR almost 400ft to RF. He's 2-2 with a 2B, HR, and BB tonight. Also is playing RF.
  11. Frelick just ripped a 104 EV bases clearing double in the 2nd inning to put the Sounds up 3-1!
  12. Who has never had a BB/9 under 5 btw and currently in the MLB has over 6 BB/9
  13. Wow Mudcats 3B coach (whoever they are) with a very bad send. 6-6 game in the 8th inning with 1 out and Lara due up and the 3B coach sends A. Perez on a double by Barrios. Perez was out by about 7-8ft. With 1 out and your best hitter who rarely ever strikes out due up, you cannot make that send.
  14. When Woessner is up in the 94-96 range with his FB in the early innings, he is basically unhittable but later in his outings when he's in the lower 90's he gets hit around a bit if the command isn't on point. The command has not been on point in the 4th today which has lead to a lot of good contact against him.
  15. Jesus Chirinos is the worst defensive 1B I have ever seen. This dude has cost his team at least a dozen runs this season with bad defense at 1B.
  16. And the 4th hasn't started well. Walk, Double, Single. No outs runners on the corners and it's a tied game.
  17. Woessner dominating through 3 innings. 0 H, 1 BB, 4 SO and all of the contact has lead to routine outs.
  18. The amount of criticism over trading a minor league FA re-signing for cash was way over the top especially when he never was particularly good pitching in the minor leagues. And the point is you don't see anyone praising the Megill acquisition. The constant negativity from the Brewers online fanbase has gotten to Green Bay Packers levels.
  19. It's funny because you've seen so much griping about us trading Erceg from cash from the negative nancy's but you don't see them then equally praising us acquiring Megill for cash (and Megill has much better stuff than Erceg) Edit: Apologies. It was a PTBNL for Megill not cash. We sent Taylor Floyd for him.
  20. Winker back and immediately back into the 2-hole. Hopefully it works out better this time.
  21. I have them as the biggest threat. Still have the Cardinals second and the Pirates third. Cubs are the lowest threat.
  22. After tonight, Lara is going to be top 10 in all of A ball in wRC+ minimum 140 PA. Oh should I also mention that everyone else in the top 13 is 21 or older and most are 22 or older. What Lara is doing in A ball as an 18 year old is incredible. The fact we have gotten to enjoy this 2 seasons in a row is something we should not take for granted.
  23. He gets pullled before even finishing the inning. His AA ERA is currently at 9.90
  24. Russell Smith with 5 ER before he even gets out of the 1st inning. Don't know where the Brewers go with him. He's just frankly not good.
  25. Think it might be time for Stiven Cruz to get demoted back to Carolina. Just has not been a good season for him.
