  1. Don’t see JD Davis remotely being an option. No chance the Giants are sellers this early into the season. Eduardo Escobar looks completely washed so I’d pass on that too. Cron’s walk and K rates haven’t been good since the start of last season and his home/road splits have been crazy since he got to Colorado. Tellez is also our best hitter so 1B doesn’t remotely feel like a need.
  2. Yeah I think a more realistic package would be 2 of May, Miller, Pepiot, Stone and then like a lower level hitter.
  3. I think the Brewers would do that trade in a heart beat. 1.5 year of Corbin Burnes for 2.5 of May, 6+ of Miller, 1.5 of Ferguson, and 3.5 of Graterol. I don't think the Dodgers would do this trade. Just giving up way too many pitchers imo. Our bullpen would be absolutely stacked if we made this trade though. 9th - DW 8th - Graterol 7th - Strzelecki/Ferguson Middle Relief - Milner/Payamps/Cousins Long Relief - Wilson That bullpen is 4 deep in very trustable high leverage arms and 8 deep in terms of quality arms.
  4. Toro played in AAA and Tyrone didn't. Probably put the odds at 99% that Taylor is getting reinstated from the IL.
  5. Fantastic article! Hopefully by next month we can see a Chourio/Quero/Brown Jr type name on the list.
  6. Pitching has been phenomenal in the system so far. Bats have started slow especially in Wisconsin but I think it’s been a pretty good start everywhere else.
  7. He's seriously struggled since he got to AAA though. He's not remotely ready for an MLB call up.
  8. Really hope Joseph Hernandez can be a bullpen arm someday because Topa is looking awfully good in Seattle and we shipped him out to clear 40-man space for Guerra who we gave up on after 20 games.
  9. Honestly even Wilson should get some chances as a leverage guy. Especially if he can touch that 95 range with his FB.
  10. Agreed that how he currently is pitching makes the most sense in a 7th inning type role not an 8th. Need to hope one of Cousins/Uribe/Andrews can be an 8th inning type guy for us at some point this season. I think they all have the stuff to do it, but it's not a guarantee that any of them are ready for it this year. I expect Uribe to be in AAA eventually. Largely because AA is using a different ball than AAA and MLB (which are using the same ball). The AA ball is the same ball but they dip it into a tacky substance so it's performing way differently than the regular ball so far. A huge reason why strikeouts are way up in AA right now.
  11. The velo is definitely starting to concern me a bit. Hopefully he's just a guy whose velo improves as the weather gets warmer. Last night he had 1st and 3rd and 1 out and couldn't generate a single whiff. It's definitely somewhat concerning especially if he's going to be in the 8th inning role going forward. Still think he can be a good leverage RP in his current mold but not one that I will trust if he gets into a tough spot.
  12. That's a bummer to hear. Forearm issues can foreshadow elbow issues down the road. Thank you so much for all of your posts!
  13. Don't love seeing Low put on the injured list. Really hope it isn't a pitching injury. I thought he was scheduled to start yesterday which has me scared it is a pitching injury.
  14. Incredibly silly that this stuff is being tested in affiliated ball especially in AA.
  15. Especially with him playing at Coors in that time. The average batting line at Coors in the late 90's was insane. HoF level hitting splits being the average hitter splits there.
  16. Mexico City's elevation is 7300 ft. Denver's is 5200 ft. Again not really comparable.
  17. Helton has Coors working against him though and Votto has an MVP.
  18. Thank you for this article. I thought he was way further away from the plate than normal lol.
  19. Salt Lake City is 4300ft above sea level. Mexico City is 7300. Just not even comparable. They can explore these effects in AAA where there are a bunch of PCL parks at high elevations.
  20. Disagree. Elevation will always be the biggest issue with Mexico City.
  21. I don't think MLB would ever go to Mexico City because of the elevation. 8000ft above sea level would be way too offensive of an environment.
  22. Hell no. Brewers should absolutely avoid putting their AAA team in the PCL where half the stadiums are at ridiculous elevations and the offensive environment is absurd.
  23. The Madison Mallards average like 6000 fans per game as a Northwoods League team which is 1600 less than Nashville did. If you don’t think Madison could put up those numbers with a Brewers AAA affiliate then I don’t know what you’re smoking.
  24. You've been told countless times Suter is a low leverage pitcher. He would have been nowhere near this game. Bryce Wilson replaced him and has been better than Suter.
  25. I think 2B is no longer a thing for him because of the shift bans. Range is super important again now and Black just doesn't have good range. I thought he was pretty decent in the OF last year but our OF is stacked with prospects so 3B made the most sense. I still think 1B or super utility is what he ends up being long term but getting him practice at 3B is better than sticking him at 1B at this point.
