  1. Just went back and rewatched. His top velo according the scorebug was 89 and he hit that 1 time. It was a lot of 88 and some 87. The scorebug stopped showing velo for 3 pitches in the 3rd inning two of which were fastballs but seeing how he only touched 89 one time it's hard to believe he touched 92 on either of those fastballs. Unless the scorebug is super off, hard to know where Chris got that 92 from.
  2. I know Wilken has a good wRC+ this year but I absolutely hate how he's looked at the plate this year. He's taken his passiveness to the extreme. 60.4% of his PA end in BB or K this year and he had a 28.9% swing rate coming into today. This is just not a serious approach for a player who has MLB aspirations.
  3. Tim Elko is the bane of the Brewers Minor League System. Is there a level where this guy hasn't crushed the Brewers?
  4. Or Jeff Levering's "just missed it"
  5. I don't think he would have had a play at home if he used his glove or it would have been a very difficult play. He would have been closer to the line if he used his glove instead of the bare hand attempt and the runner would have been closer to home by the time he transferred the ball to his throwing hand meaning it would be an even tighter angle throw home.
  6. I mean I guess from the sense Wisconsin's offense is terrible you want to keep the lead but at the same time sometimes you need to live to fight another day.
  7. The thing with Ernesto is in terms of actual PA by each level he hasn't moved through the system very slowly. He just missed a minor-league season because of COVID and hadn't been able to stay healthy. 2017 to 2019 - 530 PA of rookie ball (would be a lot now but pre-2020 with more rookie ball levels was pretty normal) 2020 - COVID 2021 - 311 PA at A 2022 - 102 PA between A+ and rookie ball (injury riddled season) 2023 - 394 PA between A+ and AA 2024 - 457 PA at AA 2025 - 49 PA at AAA All together this is how his minor league PA path ignoring rehab stints Rookie - 530 PA A - 311 PA A+ - 347 PA AA - 581 PA AAA - 49 PA Ernesto has 1843 professional PA. Christopher Morel who was from the same IFA class as Ernesto has 2998 professional PA.
  8. Juan Baez with a pretty brutal mistake. Yerlin came in after Peek loaded the bases with 1 out. Yerlin gets a chopper/swinging bunt down the 3B line and Baez instead of just taking the out at first tried to bare hand the ball to get an out at home. He predictably mishandled the bare hand leading to all runners being safe. What potentially could have been a 1-1 game going into the bottom of the 8th ended up being a 3-1 deficit.
  9. Are we officially on BSOHL watch with you?
  10. Hope the Shuckers can strike out the side in the 9th to get a team 20 K game
  11. You guys are actually both wrong. It's Large Mammal.
  12. It's been pretty well reported that Durbin was really bad defensively at 3B in ST which is one of the reasons he didn't make the team.
  13. Have to love when an ump has had a tight zone all night then strikes out a Brewers hitter on 5 pitches when there was only 1 strike thrown.
  14. I saw he wasn't listed as a probable starter this week and was hoping this wasn't the case. Big bummer.
  15. Looks like Henderson is probably going to start on Sunday. Brewers can probably use him for an inning or two tonight as well.
  16. Feel like this must be a precursor to O'Rae getting activated because this puts Biloxi down to 12 position players, 3 of which are catchers with Torres not playing a single inning so far this year.
  17. Very bummed we didn't get an EV and distance on that one because he hit that over the high wall in RF not the short wall down the line. That was a tank.
  18. He looked really good. Delmarva looked comfortable against all the Mudcat pitchers today outside of Johnson and Johnson frankly dominated them. He had them swinging and missing. Taking strikes. Just mowed them down with relative ease.
  19. The Carolina League average slash line coming into today was .234/.354/.337 for a .690 OPS with a 13.6% BB-rate and 24.8% K-rate. In the lower minors in general you aren't going to see a ton of power just because many players are still physically developing. You can expect decent OBP because pitchers are much more wild and walk prone. Coming into today you have a lot of hitters performing well over the league average. wRC+ league adjusts minor league hitting and here are some early performers for Carolina. Stats before today's game. Pena - 43 PA, 142 wRC+ Adamczewski - 42 PA, 209 wRC+ Bitonti - 41 PA, 130 wRC+ Payne - 41 PA, 149 wRC+ Nadal - 39 PA, 111 wRC+ Di Turi - 38 PA, 137 wRC+ Made - 25 PA, 125 wRC+ Dinges - 20 PA, 234 wRC+
  20. Brewers defense has fallen off very hard so far this year.
  21. Well I don't know about crushed haha. EBJ's HR only had an 88 EV. The wind must have been blowing out pretty hard to LF yesterday considering Pratt's 103 EV HR went 409ft and EBJ's 88 EV ball went over the fence.
  22. Honestly the tilt doesn’t even bother me. Biloxi’s present CF camera angle is better than most minor league CF camera angles because it’s actually very in line with the mound. Bigger issue for me is the CF camera isn’t synced with the behind home plate camera. The behind home plate camera is a bit ahead of the CF one, so when a player hits the ball you’re transported like a second into the future when the camera angle switches.
  23. I thought he looked a bit off running out the double. Thought nothing of it until he didn't hit in his next AB
  24. The only player who is going to have any trade value of that group of trade/release players is Freddy and he's our best SP who is pretty irreplaceable at the moment.
