    Yeah Mitchell the guy who leads the team in RE24 needs to be more productive. If you don’t know what RE24 is it is runs above average based on the 24 base/out scenarios so Mitchell has been extremely productive this year factoring in the base/out scenarios when he comes to the plate. No the strikeout rate is not ideal but that doesn’t mean he’s been a bad hitter who needs to pick it up. The strikeout rate is one component of a hitter. You can have a high K-rate and be a very good hitter. You can also have a low K-rate and be a bad hitter because it’s one singular stat that makes up a hitter

    That’s one component of hitting. The same way using only batting average to evaluate a hitter is a bad idea, using only K% is also a bad idea. Mitchell has been an above average hitter so far this year so the idea he needs to pick it up doesn’t make much sense.

    I feel like it might go underappreciated what the Brewers SP did in this series. Only 28 pitchers have started a single MLB game this year that are 24 years old or younger. The Brewers just had a series where all 3 of their starters were 24 years old. They combined to go 17.1 IP, 10 H, 3 ER, 3 BB, 21 SO in the series and if it weren't for a cramp and a pitcher slipping it might have been even more special.

    Mitchell has a 115 wRC+. He's been 15% better than a league average hitter.

    Haven't watched but seems like Letson's command issues have continued into today. 3 BB and 2 HBP through 4 innings.

    The Reds easily have the worst lineup in the division. Outside of like 3 hitters their lineup is horrible.

    I'd take a fully healthy Brewers lineup over everyone but the Cubs.

    Feel like the Brewers win that game 1-0 if Henderson didn't slip on that Abrams ground ball. Unfortunate.

    Woodward got hit in the forearm with a comebacker and was removed from the game.

    So Cameron Wagoner is back and he’s throwing gas now I guess.

    You must be mixing up Wood and Abrams though Wood is an even better hitter than Abrams. Abrams has a career 19% K-rate.

    And Flores tripled to lead off the 4th so now the entire lineup has reached base safely.

    Things going well in Arizona. It's the 3rd inning and all but one Brewer has reached base safely.

    For some reason ACL games are not showing up on the MiLB schedule. Hopefully they fix that quickly.

    Leonard doesn’t have any options left. If you did this you would either have to keep him up or DFA him in 48 hours.

    You are mistaken. Zerpa is already in arbitration and only has 3 years of team control remaining including this season.

    DeBerry really struggled to throw strikes tonight. Didn't make it out of the first inning due to a high pitch count. 37 pitches, 20 strikes.

    Meccage and Rivera unfortunately did not show up today. 10 runs and counting for Quad Cities and the 2nd inning isn't even over yet.

    Yeah feel bad for the guy a bit. He's basically been pitching right in line with where he's always been and for some reason it's not good enough.

    I know it might not mean much to some but the pitching models have really liked him as well.

    Could Brewers pull a Dinges and move him back behind the plate at catcher or is that just a total no go?

    90% catch probability on that catch per statcast. Frelick's jumps this year have been very poor. His average jump is 1.1 feet below average. He has been fine in RF by the numbers but he's definitely been making plays look much tougher than they actually are with his poor jumps.

    Really cool to see Fitzpatrick make his way to the big leagues. Hope he kills it.
