  1. That's not a 6 man rotation though and they want a 6 man rotation to keep Misiorowski, Harrison, and Woodruff at minimum 5 days rest.
  2. Henderson dominating through two innings in his rehab start tonight. I don't think the Brewers will do it but I'd be tempted to just bring him back after this outing and having him pitch out of the bullpen during this stretch then stretch him back out post ASB
  3. That didn't end up mattering. Mitchell hit in that spot next time around and drew a bases loaded walk.
  4. I don’t think that’s what happened on that 2-1 pitch. I think he was zeroing in on a changeup and that’s why he took it.
  5. It’s probably overreacting but if Arnold doesn’t do something to fix the bullpen and fast, I think the division lead will basically be gone by the ASB. We have 2 relievers you can trust right now.
  6. I think it’s pretty clear that something with the light and batter’s eye is a huge reason nobody on either team could hit in the first two games of that series. It was overcast in game 3 and both offenses looked much better
  7. Shoulder impingement. He hasn’t caught since early May
  8. I mean probably they are like 3 years ahead of the Sharks rebuild so they will have to enjoy it while it lasts
  9. I think with Schmitt it would all come down to if the Brewers think they can improve his swing decisions and how highly San Francisco values him. If the Brewers think they can get him to average swing decisions I think it could curb a lot of that regresssion. There’s a sweet spot in there where the Brewers think they can improve the swing decisions and the Giants view him as a regression candidate they are selling high on but it’s pretty slim. If the Giants value him by his surface numbers with 3 years of control you can probably rule out trading for him regardless of how the Brewers feel about him.
  10. Murphy is certainly asking way too much of Patrick and I'm going to go there but maybe he would have looked better on Wednesday/today if he hadn't been burned for 3 innings and 40 pitches up 7 runs in Atlanta. 40 pitches on Sunday, 40 pitches on Wednesday, then coming in today likely being asked to go multiple innings and. Like that's not a reasonable ask for a reliever in my opinion.
  11. Well today was a bit of a nightmare. Mitchell potentially hurt. Our bullpen is in shambles with very few potential replacements in AAA and we have 16 games in the next 15 days. The offense is going to need to wake up. Way too many low run outputs from them lately.
  12. We have 3 viable relievers right now (maybe Koenig is 4). Arnold needs to do something.
  13. The AB quality disparity in this series has been very large especially when you factor in the pitching quality gap. You switch pitching staffs and the Cubs would be boat racing us. Their AB have been so much better all series against much tougher pitching than our hitters have faced
  14. Arnold needs to revamp the bullpen and very quick. This bullpen cannot get us through an 18 in 17 stretch
  15. That 2 strike pitch call to Hoerner was amateur hour from Contreras. Turang is shifted up the middle leaving a gigantic hole on the right side of the infield and you fall for a backdoor sinker? A five year old could have told you that was going to end in a single through the huge hole between Turang and Vaughn.
  16. My Sharks just drafted a 7'1 280lb dude in the 7th round. Don't think I'll ever be more invested in a 7th round pick than I am with this guy.
  17. I was following the Mets-Cubs game last night and that Mets roster is laughable for the amount of money they spent on it. Like I totally understand why Mets fans are pissed and want him gone.
  18. Tonight was a great night for me. Brewers beat the Cubs and my Sharks had what I think was a fantastic draft.
  19. Murphy mentioned in Cincinatti that his mechanics are off. He's drifting forward and it's throwing off his whole swing.
  20. It wasn't a sac bunt. He was trying to bunt for a hit. Rea had a nice defensive play. Agree though that he should not have been trying to bunt for a hit there.
  21. Nutty raw power from Blake Burke. It's not easy to hit at 40 LA at 113mph. For reference there are only 7 players in the statcast era who have hit the ball 113+mph at 40+ LA. Here's the list Ohtani (4x) Judge (2x) Harper (2x) Wallner (2x) Alonso (1x) Greene (1x) Alvarez (1x)
  22. He's on the temporary inactive list so probably not with the team
