  1. Gasser does not appear to have his command today
  2. One thing that makes me feel optimistic is the fact this team is 3rd in MLB in fWAR with some pretty glaring holes on the roster. A couple savvy deadline moves and this could be the best roster we've had during this era of Brewers baseball.
  3. Brendan Gawlowski mentioned Frias as a player who has his attention when asked about standout or pop ups in the FCL/ACL
  4. I’ll guess 18. He likes the number 9 which isn’t available. 19 also isn’t available. 9x2 is 18.
  5. FYI Dinges hasn’t been catching because he’s been playing through a minor injury.
  6. You’d be wrong again. Eduardo Escobar had a 105 wRC+ and the only reason he made the ASG is because every team is required to have an All Star. Canha had a 104 wRC+ and Santana had a 97 wRC+. These were all the same level hitters.
  7. Not remotely true. Brewers traded for both Canha and Santana in 2023. They were 3rd and 4th in PA on the team post deadline.
  8. I was wondering which one of them was going to get it. Really cool that they both got it.
  9. Yeah I imagine they might try and protect Pratt against some tough RHP like they did for Chourio at the start of his career.
  10. Nobody said it wasn’t impressive for a 19 year old to have a 110 wRC+ in AA. It absolutely is impressive. That doesn't mean he’s remotely ready to be promoted to AAA. A 110 wRC+ is still a 110 wRC+. He clearly is still being relatively challenged at AA. Chourio in 2023 didn’t get promoted to AA until he went on an absolute tear after the tacky ball was removed.
  11. I’d say pretty unlikely. Made hasn’t exactly been lighting the world on fire in AA. 110 wRC+ on the season coming into today.
  12. Harrison himself said after the game that he didn't find it until the 3rd/4th inning. Are you going to tell him that he was wrong as well and that he's just being too negative? He says he didn't find his timing and rhythm until the 3rd/4th inning and that Gary was telling him he was moving too slow. You're talking about results when none of those comments are about results and about his process of pitching. It was abundantly obvious that Harrison wasn't sharp at the start of the game and even he and Gary agree but hey you know best and they are clearly just being negative.
  13. Andrew Fischer and Josh Adamczewski both getting promoted to AA
  14. Is Chourio going to make the ASG despite missing the first six weeks of the season? NL OF is very stacked but he's already Top 10 in fWAR.
  15. I'd bet Rengifo with Hamilton/Ortiz platooning at 3B
  16. I think Sanchez has a lot of the characteristics that people like in William as a catcher. He is good at guiding his pitchers through a game. Not good at the defensive aspects like blocking and his arm isn't what it used to be but he's an elite backup catcher. I agree with you that he should be in the lineup every time we face a LHP but I'm not sure that is what we will see. That would effectively render Yelich as a platoon bat.
  17. Genuinely asking did you watch the game? He was averaging 93 on his fastball and wasn't locating a thing through the first three innings. There was literally three comments back to back talking about how he wasn't looking sharp. Heck even Dom Cotroneo who works for the Brewers was talking about how Harrison wasn't sharp.
  18. Definitely has bounced back a bit the last two innings after not looking great to start the game
  19. I hope Harrison is fine. His velo is down a bit and command has been all over the place today
  20. I mean the pitching is right there Top 5 in both ERA and FIP. It’s just a different mold this year compared to years past. This year the Brewers are as top heavy as they have been in a while. Clear spots for improvement on both sides. Getting healthier on the pitching side and prospects coming up on the hitting side should help somewhat but probably will need to make some additions at the deadline
  21. Would love to give Turang the day off tomorrow against a LHP the way he's looking against them this year but the roster doesn't really work.
  22. Rough AB from Turang. Had a meatball FB on 1-1. Needed to do damage there.
