  1. I wouldn't pay much attention to the pitchers. They bounce around a lot.
  2. Obviously have to take ST results with a grain of salt, but if you believe Bauers hot streak at the end of the season is a sign of things to come for him, this has been a very, very good start to ST. He's hammering the ball while not whiffing and not striking out.
  3. Megill as the closer just makes the most sense. Does anyone think Megill could handle the workload Uribe had last year? Megill has been exclusively used as a RP since he was drafted in 2015. The most innings he's thrown in a season in that time is 60.2 back in 2019. Uribe threw 75.1 innings last year despite being suspended the first 4 games of the year.
  4. Koenig only threw 6 pitches but his velo looked much better today than it has all spring
  5. Quero had 2 errors in the 4th inning but the radio broadcast made it sound like the first error should have been on Leonard and Quero had a strong throw and the 2nd throw wasn't great but Wilken made a poor play on the ball.
  6. Yes now we can say for certain that Priester had a setback. That was not the case when that comment was made and Woodruff (who that comment was mostly about) has not had any setback so yes the comment was still dramatic.
  7. Sproat getting hit really hard today
  8. Yeah no longer concerned about his velo. Koenig is the real yellow flag guy now and it sounds like that might be a red flag based on Murphy's comments about him losing weight in the offseason (guessing he was sick)
  9. Priester stopped pitching for like 3-4 days. I'd hardly call that a setback. Woodruff hasn't had any setbacks. He's just being eased in very slowly. Both of these guys are being intentionally built up slowly. That's the process. They aren't being delayed or having their processes prevented.
  10. Setback is extremely dramatic. Murphy said Woodruff is still on pace to be in the opening day rotation. Priester is slightly behind him because they want to build Priester up slowly after a career high in innings last year.
  11. Thanks. It could just be trying to get Ortiz and Turang more reps before they head off to the WBC. Then Williams will get more game reps in.
  12. @Matthew Trueblood is Williams dealing with a small injury or something? Hasn't played since the 23rd.
  13. Uribe's stuff being down so significantly in his first two outings this spring definitely is worthy of a yellow caution flag. Too early in ST to rule it a red flag but definitely something I'm going to be keeping an eye on over the next month.
  14. I'm not going to dispute Bohm being better than Rengifo because I think you're right about that but I think it's a bit misleading to post the baseball savant page of Bohm's career year as if that's the expected outcome from Bohm. Here's Bohm in 2023 and 2025. This is a better example of what Bohm is as a player.
  15. He wouldn't have been worth this package a year ago when he was coming off a much better season and had 2 years of control let alone now when he's coming off a weaker season and has 1 year of control.
  16. So If I'm reading this right he has literally been a TTO guy so far in ST? 2 HR, 4 SO, 1 BB in his 7 PA?
  17. Woodruff is on pace to be in the the rotation to start the season
  18. Woodruff is on track to begin the season in the rotation
  19. Ethan Dorchies will be a Top 100 prospect eventually
  20. The $29.99 package included radio, MiLB TV, and MLB Big Inning. The $59.99 package includes all of those plus full access to MLB Network so you're spending an extra $30 a year for MLB Network.
  21. Bullpen ace please. 80-100 innings out of the pen being used as a multi-inning weapon.
  22. Brendan Brock has gotten off to a hot start through 2 games. Here's a side view of him hitting a 112 EV HR against Texas Tech. He also has 103 and 110 EV doubles through 2 games.
  23. 1. Chourio - LF 2. Yelich - DH 3. Contreras - C 4. Turang - 2B 5. Vaughn - 1B 6. Frelick - RF 7. Mitchell/Perkins - CF 8. Rengifo/Hamilton - 3B 9. Ortiz - SS
