  1. Karma that two guys who didn't deserve to be on base both got out on the basepaths.
  2. Got to love when what should have been a 1-2-3 strikeout the side inning turns into 1st and 2nd with 1 out because umpires can't do their jobs.
  3. CJ Hughes took down his pinned college commit stuff on Instagram. Can probably lock him in as signing.
  4. The Andrew Vaughn dilemma is a tough one for the Brewers. Like he's looked absolutely great as a Brewer but how can you trust that he's a good hitter after not being one for his whole career.
  5. The issue is who do you move up? We have a lineup with basically 8 average hitters and Ortiz. It's not like there's some really good hitter we could move up in the order to push Contreras to the bottom half.
  6. It amazes me that he was able to push the the on base streak to 30 with how bad he's looked at the plate this month
  7. I hope tonight was Quintana's last start as a Brewer. We have too much pitching depth to let a guy whose underlying pitching numbers are all pushing 5.00 start every 5th game in a division race.
  8. I'm not sure what constitutes this hot streak but a lot of people go back to 5/22 as the date the Brewers started playing better. Since 5/22 Ortiz has a 104 wRC+ and 1.2 fWAR. That's not exactly replacement level.
  9. In Hogg's article about Cortes today he made it clear that Murphy said Misiorowski is not being optioned and they will manage his innings at the MLB level. Hogg characterized it as not on the table.
  10. If they want to blow up their farm system with Tucker likely out of Chicago in the offseason, then feel free!
  11. Hey if Chicago wants to spend assets adding to their offense and not try to shore up their rotation or bullpen then I think we should let them.
  12. Junk is definitely due for a stinker. The guy has a 1.6% HR/FB rate. We aren’t a big power team but maybe we can put a dent in that number.
  13. Probably just mixed him up with his brother I'm guessing. Bo still has team control. Josh is a FA after the season.
  14. Naylor is a rental
  15. Dom seemed to put some water on the idea of trading for O'Hearn on Brewers Weekly tonight. He seemed to suggest the 1B job is Hoskins and he will get it when he comes back.
  16. Zavier Warren has no trade value. He's a 26 year old in AA with a 111 wRC+ who has no defensive home.
  17. For the pro Suarez contingent, does it scare you that he's had substantial home/road splits since he got to Arizona? 2024 - 131 home wRC+, 102 road wRC+ 2025 - 171 home wRC+, 124 road wRC+ Total for those years - 148 home wRC+, 110 road wRC+ Even had a big under the hood gap over the two years - .363 home xwOBA, .318 road xwOBA
  18. With such an incredible haul from the Brewers I think the Twins would need to add in Castro and Duran. I mean everyone knows two quarters, a dime, and two pennies are worth $3.
  19. Time for Aaron Civale to show he's still an MLB SP and pitch a gem against the Cubs.
  20. I'd say unlikely this offseason as his Arb 1 number should be very small like $1.5M tops because he's barely played. At that price it's worth giving it another shot to see if he can stay healthy. I'd say next year is his do or die year in Milwaukee. If he spends 75% of the year on the IL again then he's surely getting non-tendered and not getting Arb 2 salary.
  21. Yeah it certainly depends on perspective. I'm a bit lower on Yoho than most at this point as I've become distrusting of leverage relievers who don't have good fastballs or velo. To me Yoho seems like a middle reliever type along the lines of a Hoby Milner or Grant Anderson. If we could get Suarez for Yoho straight up, I'd do it in a heartbeat. I imagine it wouldn't be close to enough to get Suarez or even the lesser Naylor.
  22. Yeah the Brewers absolutely crushed those bonus amounts in rounds 1-10. I was projecting like $1.7-1.9M in bonus pool savings in rounds 1-10. They ended up saving a bit north of $2.25M. Now the fun part starts.
  23. Yeah that would be an absolutely colossal overpay. That's the type of package you send out to get a Christian Yelich like the Brewers did in 2018.
