  1. Doesn’t bother me in the least if true. Go young, and stay young. Stay away from FA signings. The team has the infrastructure to furnish the team with young, controllable, impactful talent, and for as far as my eyes can see.

HuntJose AndersonCraig Yoho I have 4 teenagers in my top 5, in tribute to the best teenage talent in the game. The 2028 team will be a monstrous juggernaut.
  3. 2029 — Made at 3B, Pratt at SS, Pena at 2B, Bitonti at 1B, Chourio in CF, Anderson in LF, Payne in RF with Quero catching.
  4. Nice to listen to non-Brewers fans that understand what those of us that follow the system as deeply as we do, know — “wave of freak shows coming” — “draft and IFA machine going”. Love it.
  5. Not happening. Too good of a FO. Too good of a now rebuilt infrastructure. Too good of a young big-league core. Too good of prospect-procurement systems. Too many impactful teenage prospects stabled in our farm for when we will need them. I can keep going, but will stop there because I think you get the point I am making.
  6. The SP depth on this team is the best I can ever remember. That will pay dividends over a long championship season. My preferred rotation: 1. Woodruff— I predict solid from the get go, improving to first game playoff starter. 2. Myers— From his arsenal to his elite tunneling to his command — could be a #2 next season. 3. Peralta— As good a 3rd starter as there is in the game. 4. Hall— Health and an offseason in the pitching lab. Needs innings. Team needs LHSP. 5. Ashby— Stuff is all the way back so this is where he belongs. 4 of the nastiest pitches in the game. Hoping he can add a 4-seam option he can throw up in the zone. 6. Civale— As good of a 5th/6th starter as there is 7. Rea— Great depth to have pitching bulk out of the pen. 8. CRod 9. Patrick 10. Henderson 11. minor-league signing They could also sign Miley on an incentive-laden deal for sometime in the second-half of the season. I think they go 6-man all season to protect their starters, especially Woodruff-Ashby-Hall-Myers. That is my optimistic take on this teams ‘25 rotation. There is no doubt in my mind they have the depth of quality starter arms to have a better rotation than what they had in ‘24, and with maybe the best bullpen they’ve had since late-season of ‘18, they will have the pitching to win a title.
  7. Not expecting the team to be able to sign Ross. He won’t rotation with this team and I’m guessing he wants to start.
  8. Take the best deal you can get because it’s time to move on. Megill can close, and they have so much fire power coming back it’s almost comical. Megill-Payamps (trade?)-Koenig-Mears-Uribe-Milner (trade?)-Peguero (trade?)-Bukauskas-Yoho-Wilson (trade?)-Rea (trade?)-Ashby (rotation?)-Hall (rotation?)-Z-Misiorowski (late season). Besides we need the money savings for next year‘s payroll to put together the best team possible under our budget conditions.
  9. Stagnating to you, because you choose to not look under the hood organizationally or for some reason ignore their youth and years of control. Murphy knew the team had it won and one (1) player choked the season away. 1 player.
  10. We won 93 games with the second-youngest team in baseball. This young core is only going to get better as they develop and mature. ‘Down on the farm’ ranked our ‘23 draft-class the best in all of baseball. BA said we have one of the best IFA departments in the game with a best in baseball ‘24 IFA class. Those 2 classes have added the best 17-20 years old talent in the game to our system. Next year we have five (5) top picks and $16M+ in pool money for the draft that will add more impact talent to our system. This FO is getting results on the field and also just as important, behind the scenes gathering talent for the system.
  11. It’s deeper than what we’ve had the last 3 years. If Ashby-Hall can take the next step it’s as good a rotation as we’ve had since ‘21.
  12. No progress? We now have a large, young, dynamic and controlled core which we didn’t have 5 years ago. We also have a mature infrastructure which we didn’t have 5 years ago. Top all that off with the best teenage positional talent of any farm system and I’d say that’s a ton of progress.
  13. Isn’t close? It is if one expects Woodruff to start-off the season a solid mid-rotation arm that becomes a #1 by the postseason. And Myers continues his #2/3 starter performance. And Ashby’s command improves ever so slightly. Which makes Civale & Hall a pretty darn good 5th/6th starter combo.
  14. Rea to the pen as a bulk and depth starter arm. 5th & 6th starters should be Hall-Ashby until proven otherwise.
  15. The ‘25 team will be our best team since 1982. Trade Williams for prospects. Starters— $26M Woodruff (5M)—Peralta (8)—Myers (750K) Civale (8)—Ashby (3)—Hall (750K) Bullpen— $15M Megill (2)—Uribe (750K)—Payamps (3)—Koenig (750K)—Mears (1)—Hudson (750K) Yoho (750K)—Rea (5.5) Positional—$67M Contreras (7)—Haase (2) Hoskins (18)—Martinez (750K)—Turang (750K)—Ortiz (750K)—Moncada (8)—DeJong (4) Yelich (24)—Chourio (4)—Mitchell (750K)—Frelick (750K)—Perkins (750K Total payroll—$108M The young core will come into their own lead by a healthy Yelich with the best pitching staff since 2021.
  16. I think they will roster Henderson-Patrick & Martinez. I think all 3 are locks. Henderson goes without saying. Patrick proved he can pitch and the team will want him as a depth shuttle spot starter. Martinez can replace Bauers on the 40-man and potentially give the team their LH option at 1B next season and beyond. The EV/K-rate forces the decision to roster him.
  17. Yes we can accept losses like last night since they lost because of 1 player, Devin Williams. They also gained valuable experience in 2 pressure-packed games which will make them better in postseasons moving-forward, of which there will be many.
  18. The choke was committed by 1 player, Devin Williams, who likely won’t even be here next season.
  19. Tough loss, but Chourio-Mitchell-Frelick-Myers excelling under playoff pressure will only help their confidence moving-forward.
  20. Just take the best deal for Williams and move on. The money savings in what will be a potential title year is a bigger deal than $8M in surplus TV. Trade Williams-Milner-Payamps-Peguero-Rea, trade or DFA Wilson and use the money savings to add a $5-10M FA starter and $7-15M 3B.
  21. With the team needing to re-negotiate the ‘25 local TV deal and getting less money, unless the Brewers advance to the NLCS, they will probably not add much if any payroll next season, so signing a pricy FA likely isn’t happening. Thank goodness they have a nice young core returning with only one glaring weakness, 3B, and a brilliant, creative FO that should be able to, at worst, at least make it competent.
  22. We have a decade of winning ahead of us with most of those seasons having a better team than the current one, so hang in there and eventually we will be rewarded with a title, maybe even 2. We have the smartest FO in the game, which matters far more than payroll.
  23. Not expecting a breakout from Mitchell this postseason but sure looking forward to an offseason of more adjustments and hopefully a healthy 5+ WAR 2025 season.
  24. Last year’s class had Quintana at #12 & Made at #22 (MLB pipeline) with both of Luis Pena and Jose Anderson outside their top 50.. All 3 performed better than Quintana.
  25. Yeah, I’m personally content with everything about this team’s international department. If this isn’t the best international prospect-procurement system in baseball, it’s among the best. Focusing on impactful positional talent in this realm gives the team the potential to extend the very best because of their young ages entering the bigs. This is how the team will build a long-lasting dynasty by surrounding Chourio with impactful talent for 6-10 years, most of it prime-age performance.
