    There will be injuries that'll knock these down, but I don't want to predict a Musgrave injury or whoever. I think our success this year leads to extensions for both Love and Gary and set the Packers up to be aggressive in the off-season. I again, don't think the outlook right now is as rosy as the predictions suggest, but again, easiest schedule we've had in a long time, great OL, RBs on paper, WRers very good YAC. And Valentine plays starter snaps by week 6-8. Joe Barry is still fired.

    Hopefully. I don't think we're just going into this as though he'e...Yelich and rehabbing and we're duty bound to give him a shot. He's just a guy we picked up with a history of success and if he's awful at AAA, then he spends his last weeks of his career down there. Edit-BUT...I like the signing and I think his underlying metrics are encouraging. He's hitting the ball hard still. He's had a storied career and hopefully he adds another chapter to it.

    Eh, you're right. I guess the fallout will largely be dictated by the severity of the accusations, but at the very least, he went from arguably the 2nd highest ranked FA and a contract that would likely have eclipsed 150M to a lengthy suspension and a LOT of money.

    Yeah, there have been. But times are a changing. He's going to have to pretty much prove his innocence at this point. At least in the Court of public opinion. This is a guy who was not just arrested for Domestic Violence(like he was in 2019 and already suspended) but Felony. People see that, they assume it's particularly bad(not that there is good DV, but felony DV suggests it's Jim Brown like DV. At least in my mind). But sure, we should wait and see the actual outcome. I'd still start working on my Korean or Japanese were I Julio Urias.

    Right. Of course it is. But the concerns posted in the 1st half were entirely warranted. I doubt he was citing the posts from when the score was 38-10 or 31-10...but rather 14-10.

    They played a man heavy scheme at Wisconsin. That was the big reason for the OSU beatdowns. Benton got manhandled, they couldn't get pressure and...they were just chewing up the secondary. Leonhard was an aggressive DC...pretty much the opposite of what they played yesterday(or Barry).

    Close as I can find is Harry Colliflower who went 1-11. Lots of crazy seasons with 40 loses though. 48 loses by John Coleman. I'm sure 1-11 isn't the worst, but...can't get too much worse. Maybe Grienke will go back down to A ball and try Shortstop now!

    I remember...one Wakefield's catchers that Boston traded, they traded for him back because nobody else could catch him and as I recall. Mirabelli? Anyway, Police escort, changing in the backseat. It was a regular season game, but it was vs the Yankees, and those were like playoff games. And then...Kevin Mench! Kinda amazing how significant that Carlos Lee trade seemed. Put up 3.2 WAR over 2 seasons for the Brewers, but he felt like this superstar. I don't blame giving up Nelson Cruz in return(though it did seem weird as he looked like a 5 tool guy at that time and was raking). But just an indication of how far we've come.

    The Baseball gods giveth...and they taketh away. Tony Gonsolin goes down with TJ and one of the most underrated pitchers in the game...in my opinion, Walker Buehler is on his way back and his velo is back up into the mid to upper 90s. What a stark contrast in how to run a big market team with massive financial resources. The Mets just handing out blank checks while the Dodgers try pulling back on the payroll to get under the tax(before Bauer was reinstated) in a buildup to go after Ohtani and presumably re-sign their own homegrown ace is Urias...but they can bring up 10 pitchers who have MLB caliber stuff and still coast to 100 wins. 11 years with Andrew Friedman, the one year they didn't win the division, they won 106 games. #2 overall farm system headed into the year, #6 mid-season, ~100M in payroll for a team that could easily go up to 280 or near the Cohen line. ANYWAY, on a day they get Bobby Miller to shut down the Braves, Walker Buhler comes back.     Not sure Nadal is arguably on par with Adams, Bitonti...and certainly not Boeve, Wilken and Black, but he's another guy who seemingly fits the Brewers recent...course correction in targeting Hit/OBP over tools in their young prospects, and I love that the Brewers aren't deterred by a 5'7 tweeener at 3B, 2B and SS. Not exactly the profile you're looking at, but great hitters can come in all shapes and sizes...from Altuve to Judge to Lincecum to the Big Unit. I appreciate the write-ups though. The only thing I'd like to know is if you've got an velocity reports that are updated on these young arms, but it seems like that information is both hard to come by, and with guys going from 16-19, I'd imagine constantly changing.

    It was 14-10 at halftime vs a mediocre MAC team that needed a late TD vs a 2-10 Akron just to get to .500 and a Bowl Game last year vs an HBCU. It was not an impressive debut schematically, particularly early. A couple of runs, 1st downs. 3 straight passes, punt. And the record setting QB looked...not particularly special compared to Badgers QBs of the past. The criticism was definitely warranted.

    I'll trust the Brewers, but I've said from the start, surgery on your shoulder for a guy who could legitimately be an ace or a #2 pitcher and you have him cheap for 6 more years? I'm not screwing around. Let him rehab and strengthen it and then see ya when pitchers and catchers report. There's just too much that can go wrong.

    Exit Velo 92.8 MPH Hard hit rate 51.3% BB% 10 10 HRs in 33 Games(not that this is the end all). But it's really not that desperate. It's a guy who hit into extraordinarily bad luck in 33 games, was a FA. Also, the Braves likely got rid of him due to Austin Riley...a top 20 prospect who hit 18 Hrs in 80 games in 2019 and Josh Donaldson signing a 4/92M dollar deal with the Twins. He's going to be in Milwaukee maybe a month and this is very possibly his last chance. I think the negative impact is being exaggerated here.

    Just to be clear, I'm not making any...declarations on the program, just this particular game. It felt like they were trying to make a statement. This is a new Era and we're gonna throw the ball. And you have to throw the ball. You don't get enough explosive plays in the run game unless you have a SPECIAL back, and even at UW, we've had...Taylor and Gordon who could take it 90 yards without great blocking despite a litany of VERY good backs(including the all time leading RB in Dayne). Allen is in the group of really good backs(like Ball...who had sensational vision, or White, Clay, Davis, etc...). Mellusi looked like a new man, but I doubt he's taken that huge leap. It just seems like Buffalo knew exactly what was coming and they(the Badgers) still threw it into coverage until it dawned on them, "oh yeah...we're a great running team." But insofar as making decisions on...ANYONE based on this game, Aschcraft looked really nice and I saw better pass pro by the OL and that's as much as I can say. It was one game in a new year before the Badgers really have their guys all in place.

    I'm not sure we don't match up velo wise as well. Uribe, MeGill, Payamps, Peguero and...well, Williams FB looks like it's 100 with that Bugs Bunny Change! I so badly want to see Vieira called up so we can go from Woody(who feels like he's got a bigger FB this year than Burnes without looking) to Vieira to MeGill, to Uribe for 1. Woodruff looks like a soft tosser there!

    You certainly had the ability to foresee the future when you proclaimed the lead was down to 2.5 yesterday and we were clearly inferior to the top 3 teams in the NL, ATL, LAD and the Phillies! 5 up in the loss column with series 16 games against teams in last place or 2nd last(the Pirates who face Burnes, Woody and Peralta up next) seems to favor the Brewers...VERY heavily. 4-1 vs the Phills on the year. Those...dominant, superior Phillies who we had no chance against with our #8 starter vs Nola!

    Of course. They still played for the Championship last year and Colorado who was projected to finish at the bottom of their conference, with ~4/5 wins beat them and had incredibly impressive performances from both Sanders at QB and Hunter at CB/WRer.

    It's SO annoying how they talk about the "Greatest tradition in College Football," and then...go to commercial during it. But hey, at least we got to listen to "Sweet Caroline," sang by the Student section and band during garbage time in the 4th quarter. That should be on TV every time. And if it is on TV...tell me what in the hell this is!

    They tried to get too cute. The defense had 7 in the box, they were playing off and often sending a LBer(which we struggled to pick up) and they were just forcing the passing game. You saw at the end what this offense COULD be. They were playing Cover 1 and pressing. That's obviously when you take your shots. But that was toward the end of the game. The pieces are there. I'm not gonna say Mordecai is not "Him," after the season opener...he didn't look like him, but he was also throwing into a lot of cover 2 or 3 and Bell had a huge drop. This is Wisconsin though. Passing to open up the run game? That's silly. They should have simple audibles(and I assume they do) and just play smarter. I'm sure they will. Impressive 2nd half, but a pretty..."meh," game as a whole. ***Chez looked like a different back. Like a guy who can play at the next level. That burst, the quickness. I think this is gonna be a good fit for him.

    Badgers 28 point favorites. I'm feeling like this team is gonna come out firing, throwing the ball around, taking Buffalo out early. That Badgers -28 looks pretty good to me. Nice time to ...buck the trend of close games vs vastly inferior teams and make a statement. 56-10 is my prediction.

    But not neck and neck in CF. Which...again, is why I don't think they'd send Wiemer down for Taylor to take over as the CFer vs left handed hitters when they're merely neck and neck over a small sample size.

    Of course it's a moot point and it'd just be tied. It's all a moot point now that the game is over. I'm just asking if anyone else thinks Miller beats it out. And Santana was about 1/3rd of the way to 3rd, but he's already sprinting while Bohm is on his heels.

    I guess it's possible under the rules, but the only time I've ever heard of something like this happening was the NBA and it was..Ralph Simpson(not Sampson, not the 7'4 guy from Houston). But ok, technically I guess it CAN happen under the rules. We just very rarely see suspended games that are not picked up immediately. When was the last one? A few years ago?
