  1. Yup. And now you take away your two LBers who are sideline to sideline and it's no longer an elite front 7, it's just a front 4(though we have pretty good safeties).
  2. Yes, it would. At least he got up and came off the field without a limp. Seemed like he just got caught in the ribs/shoulder?
  3. Yeah, but he fumbled it backward. And what is wrong with Cooper? He's one of the guys they just cannot afford to lose... MAYBE it's just the wind knocked out of him? He's kinda gets a crack back by Tslaa. Doesn't LOOK like he a lower leg. Maybe Ribs? He's become a top 2-3 player on this defense.
  4. We traded the Pick they used to take Branch. We ended up with Wicks and Reed(so added Wicks). He was a CB in College though. After his combine... I didn't think he was going to be a real impact player... (And AGAIN another play that was nearly a turnover that could have changed the game).
  5. Reed, Golden, Quay... But the Lions getting Ragnow back is like adding an AP to the weakest spot on that team. And JESUS... that was SOOO close to being the turnover that would have been a game changing play.
  6. I'd sure like to see this offense come back and keep attacking the Lions secondary here... NOT a inside zone...
  7. No, of course it wasn't. But... he's Micah Parsons. If he's gassed, get him off the field for Sorrell... but he just gave up on that play. Love is just picking the Lions apart though.
  8. Parsons was 1 on 1 that play vs their worst OL and he did... nothing. He quit his pass rush when the first play didn't work. Gary was at least going up against an elite OT.
  9. I love Micah, but he's facing a BAD offensive linemen there and he got nothing going. Give Goff 4-5 seconds... Jesus...
  10. I don't know what you wanted from him in the 1st half that you didn't get... and he started off the 2nd half perfectly IMO. But NOW is when we need that turnover. Really put the pressure on the Lions.
  11. Absolutely HUGE 4th down stop! Parsons, McDuffie and Wyatt with the initial penetration. NOW... it's on you MLF and Jordan Love. You traded those 1sts so you could get the lead and let Parsons and all money, picks you've spent on this front get after the QB. So... with this field position, put it in the endzone.
  12. The back half doesn't compliment the front half well. The Eagles have a lockdown CB... we do not. We have to play zone and if the pass rush doesn't get home, they'll find the holes. And that was an incredible move by Gibbs. CB and OL has to be a point of emphasis in the off-season. DL/LB are both... REALLY good. DT maybe as well, but... we can only do so much.
  13. You're right. But the Panthers, Cowboys and Browns games means we're going to need to win in these types of environments. That's why this next 30 minutes is so big.
  14. Definitely. He tackles more like post-shoulder injury Jaire. Nixon, Hobbs when he's healthy, our safeties, they all hit. Hopper at LBer is kinda known for that as well. And BTW, I heard Terry talk about what a "Gutsy call" that was as we were in man coverage," they had 3 guys split to that side of the field including a big, physical WR. We call that play REGULARLY with 3 DBs within 5 yards of the LOS. They actually called it exactly when they should have... but it doesn't matter. Valentine gave up the TD there.
  15. That's true. It's been a pretty clean game. This is the biggest 30 minutes of the season so far IMO. Can you finish the game vs another contender. They're either in 1st place with the Bears, Broncos and Bears coming up or... they're in 3rd place with 3 straight games vs 1st place teams. That's quite the swing. Getting back to that Pass Rush to move Goff off his spot(where he's terrible), MLF's level of aggressive play calling and if he is aggressive, Love's ability to move the ball will decide the game IMO. Of course, a turnover could also swing the game, but that's always the case.
  16. That was... AWFUL... but I actually thought that was a strength of our defense. They do wrap up and rally to the ball and... DON'T give up that type of plays. They give up chunk plays over the middle and they give up some long drives, but I thought they'd been much better under Hafley. That is such a huge missed tackle. Even if you don't bring him down, pursuit gets there. You had 2-3 guys who were right there if he just... grabs a ****ing leg!
  17. And another series you couldn't keep them out of the endzone after a huge drive. You've had two opportunities to create some separation. I mean, I didn't expect it to be easy, but the D needs to come up with that big play. It's like Chourio hitting a 3R HR and then Peralta giving up a 3R HR after that.
  18. Yeah... don't know if when he yelled for the TO, but that was huge for the Packers. Probably kicking it. Some huge catches on that series including Musgrave keeping the drive alive with a chunk play, Watson with some really good hands and Doubs also. Those short passes with that velocity on it away from the body... Offense looks exactly like you want it to vs a good team. Defense needs to get the stop.
  19. Do they have one penalty on a kickoff all year?
  20. No, this team is WAY too talented on offense. Jameson, St. Brown, Gibbs, that rookie WR Tslaa... You have to get to Goff and you can't let him get into a rhythm. If he gets comfortable, he'll pick *apart this secondary.
  21. He's elusive as hell and he's definitely similar in that if he can get you a lot of negative runs and then BIG plays, but he runs more physically and he's such a good pass catcher, I think of an Edggerin James or Marshal Faulk type back. Either way, he's a stud. I thought he was a reach with Bijan over the board, but... he really makes that offense go.
  22. That's a BEAUTIFUL ball and what a catch by Wicks. I thought that was a TD live, but... that replay, they didn't show the first foot as he was catching it. Now... as always, the question with the Packers. Can they keep the pressure and their foot on the Lions throats. HUGE possession for the defense coming up...
  23. I think losing Quay Walker is a MASSIVE loss vs this Detroit team. No Walker or Hobbs... which hurts vs Gibbs. Hobbs isn't exactly Deion(or hell, Eric Stokes in coverage) but he's a physical slot. No Golden... or Reed(not that I expected him back). Wicks still hobbled. Also being down LVN and Karl Brooks is a big blow. Hoping LVN would be healthier, not out. We need Brinson to keep playing well. Stackhouse made some great plays vs the run last week. I could see them winning, but I could also see this being like Thanksgiving two years ago where the Lions beat the Packers early and the Lions came out and just went Belt to... well, you know. It's time for the NFC teams to start to separate from the rest of the league and thus far, it's been the Rams who've done so more than anyone. The three pre-season favorites, GB, Philly and Det all look... just kinda 'meh,' so far. Unless MLF trusts Love a bit more and the OL plays better; Prediction Det 31-Packers 20
  24. I wouldn't ever count the Browns as a W. No team with a front 7 like that is a guaranteed win. Especially that time of the year, the Browns in Chicago on December 14th? If there's wind and the Browns make it ugly? I'd say looking at the odds and performance thus far this year, 1 of 2 vs the Packers is a good bet. The 49ers could also be a W if they're out of it by then(and given how beat up they are).
