  1. I hear ya... but sometimes people aren't... exactly genuine about their opinions. I've been on both sides of "The board." But in that ONE case... he's a clown. But I don't think he should be banned or anything. Hell, the Brewers take care of business and we won't see him again until.... next year(probably a new name).
  2. Man... if Turang can come through here, you would have the luxury of going with Patrick the rest of the way.
  3. Oh... my bad, I thought we played Game2 and 3 on back to back days...
  4. You didn't see the whole thing then... they went out and put him on one of those body bag like stretchers to get him the rest of the way off the field. He may lose the leg.
  5. He has... and he's even better out of the pen. Don't agree with taking Miz out there(espcially as I'd like to see Patrick available for tomorrow). On another note, I've NEVER been someone who says "___ announcer doesn't like the Brewers," or any of my teams, but it seems so blatant that Darling is rooting for the Cubs to shut down the Brewers AND score here...
  6. No, you really didn't. They were bad opinions. Consistently wrong... on everything. A month ago, the Brewers weren't even going to be playing past the WC round, tonight... the series was over. He's just trolling.
  7. Uribe more than Megill... but it's still just a 4 run game. I'm feeling good, but not quite at the "lets make sure we get___ innings," point just yet. Of course those are the two best high leverage arm we've got, so it's not like you're suggesting Gasser.
  8. I'm really not seeing why we do anything until he gets tired or loses it... It feels like it's deeper than the bottom of 5 right now, but... you get to the 6th with Mis and still have Koenig ready for Bush or the 7th... maybe Miz just keeps on hitting his spots and he carries you deeper. IDK, but I'm not messing with what's working. This is the type of performance the Brewers desperately needed in one game with Woodruff on the shelf. The kid is coming through. Chourio and Mis, just a glimpse of what's to come...
  9. I really don't see a reason to take Miz out. He's dealing. He's gonna be burned for tomorrow and I wouldn't really trust him on another night. It's kinda all or nothing with him. But when he's got that release point, he's unhittable. You have a LITTLE margin for error. Not much, but... maybe we'll add an insurance run or two here.
  10. No, THAT Frelick catch was perfect! (They were both perfect).
  11. I'm sticking with Mis until he walks someone else... unless it's with 2 outs, then I'd give him a walk and another hitter. If he gets on a roll... that's MASSIVE.
  12. That kinda makes it sound as if he's going to be a LF in the AZFL and then they'll gauge his positional versatility moving forward, but with who we have ahead of him in the OF... my takeaway from that is he's going to be a utility player. A guy who can play SS/LF... presumably RF and I wouldn't be surprised if he plays some SS/3B if there's a chance to get him some reps there in the future. Clearly neither are his future position, but he could really be a super-utility player for us. This team is going to have SO much talent coming up the next 2-3 years. OF-Chourio, Perkins, Frelick, Collins(A ROY candidate who is behind 3 OFers on the roster who are better players and have at least 4 years of team control left). Prospects= Pena(potential CFer with his 70 speed and Turang at 2B), Payne(1 year at A+, AA, AAA), Black-Don't think he'll be around, but he can play LF, Luis Lara-another elite defender and a guy who should hit for a high average, steal bases... though limited SLG). 1B/3B-Durbin is pretty much it looking down the road. Prospects 3B-Fischer, Boeve, Wilkin, Adams, Made(?) 1B-Burke, Bitonti, Black...the 4 players from above SS-Ortiz(I believe he'll settle in more as a .730-.750 type hitter with a plus glove, but that it also won't matter). Pratt, Made, Pena 2B-Turang Again, a lot of repeats here, but Pena, Made seem like the most obvious C-Contreras will be gone, so...in so much as there is a "need" it's here Prospects- Quero's got the floor of a very good defensive C who carries a ~680 OPS, upside is GG catcher and a .780 OPS with ~15 HRs and 25 2B. Dinges-Elite arm, great bat. I think this most likely ends up as a good balance for Quero DH-Yelich And then... we need 3 of the 1B/3B to hit or Dinges could be among them. Hopefully it'll be Burke as he just looks like an outstanding pure hitter but a pretty questionable fielder. Also, a nice LHed bat. Adams is pretty athletic, but so is Yelich Utility-Adamczewski-2B/LF/DH and if everyone else is lining up or at least every other position(we all know there will be several guys who flame out) but I think based on how he's played 2B, he could be a... passable 3B/SS in a utility role. It's already a little off-topic for just the AZFL or Adamczewski, but looking at this collection of talent that a lot of fans who aren't on sites like this or nerding out on prospects, it's why they didn't care about what the cost was, they just wanted to get Suarez, but this is like the '82 team, but you've got Yount, Molitor and... Cooper all on their way up or just starting rather than in their prime. A 2028 lineup *COULD* look like (lefties in italics, Switch Hitters underlined) 1-CF Luis Pena 2-2B Turang 3-LF Chourio 4-3B Made 5-DH-Yelich 6-1B-Fischer 7-SS Pratt 8-RF Frelick 9-C Quero Bench-Durbin 3B/2B, Adamczewski 2B/OF/3B/SS, Adams-1B/3B/LF, Burke 1B/DH, Collins 2B/LF/RF, Lara-CF, Perkins CF... and Joey Ortiz if he's still around, 3B, SS, 2B. Clearly we're not going to have 15 position players, and guys like Perkins will likely be dealt or non-tendered by now as Lara should be able to provide everything he does but cheaper. I think Pena, Turang, Chourio, Made, Pratt, Frelick could be GG caliber defenders. Turang, Pratt 15-20 HRs, Chourio, Made, Fischer 25-40(or more for Chourio) .280+ hitters 1-4, Fischer, Frelick And you're REALLY protected against injury with all the versatility not just in terms of finding a capable hitter, but in the field. Pratt struggles, you have Made to slide over and several 3B options... like Durbin. Turang gets banged up, Pena plays 2B...or Adamczewski and Lara plays CF or Chourio plays CF and you have several guys who can play LF... like Adamczewski. The Golden Age of Milwaukee Baseball. Brewers get their first in franchise History this year and then in the next couple years, they won't be able to say they're a team of "every day Joes." It's a Jesus Made type team!
  13. I really thought they should have gotten Uribe in Gm1. He's the type of guy who is so emotional... in the best way, but I would have liked his first outing to be in a 6 run game. Megill... I was encouraged by his outing on the last day, but I'm still nervous about him. He's also an emotional guy, but he seems a bit more mature. I trust him in a high leverage spot without getting an inning, it's just the elbow.
  14. What clip? This presumably from today just doing some work? I pulled mine good once in College just screwing around before the season started playing intramural flag Football and my entire leg was black and blue. Treatment 3X a day, rest, rehab, stretching, treatment, stretching... and then as soon as it felt good again... it'd go. So I guess you must just get really good at feeling when it's tight and you have a very minor pull, but he looked good hauling down to 1B and he didn't grab it or anything(that was another thing, I felt like I'd been shot in the leg and went down). Vs a lefty, really hope he's good! He's one of the guys who can hit a pitchers best pitches. Those guys are rare. Most guys on this team hit mistakes... and that's the case with most good hitters. Chourio, when he's locked in, he can rifle it to RF, he can drill it to CF, he can hit it anywhere.
  15. I'd like this even more if we had Hall on the roster... but I'm still good with it. What is up with Hall though? He was supposed to be ahead of a couple of the injured pitchers and they were going to see where Henderson and Hall were at, but... I never really heard an update.
  16. We've got one of those in my pools as well. It's really annoying. It's a 3 week cutoff... which is SO stupid. Someone else took it over a few years ago and last year they came up with this idea. The first 3 weeks in the past have been when MOST people go out. People who pick the Ravens or whichever team. We've done a 2nd pool in the past. you can do another one that starts week 7 or so(it was usually over by then). But wild, ridiculous games like this are usually how people go out. I try and stay away from; -Division Rivals playing on the road -Bad teams, but teams with elite defensive lines... like the Browns, Giants, Jets(not so much this year, but when they had a better edge). But there are crazy games like this one where the Titans just had no business winning. Couple years ago there was one where Justin Tucker hit a 66 yard FG as time expired vs the Lions. That would have knocked out over half the pool.
  17. Well... I don't really care, but I never said you were. I'm pretty skeptical you're a Packers fan. Even when they win(like Detroit) I remember you talking about how they'd blow it, they'd gas, how bad Nixon was(worst player on the defense), LVN in, Parsons wasn't doing anything... LaFleur is the worst coach in the league. Not sure what you're watching if you think the Packers are finishing behind the Bears and the Vikings, but... we'll see.... again.
  18. I didn't say you could lock the game down after 9-12 outs, I'm saying I don't want to take him out of the game early so he's available in Gm3. I don't want to go into the game with the plan that no matter how good he's throwing, you're taking him out so he can throw Gm3.
  19. I have a feeling Jackson will not be communicating any discomfort with them. Not saying that's a good thing or not, but... just my guess. If he plays, I hope his base running is limited to nice... easy base running. A light jog a time or two around the bases.
  20. Yeah, I don't really like it if that's the plan going into the game. I'd rather use Koenig then. You're burning your best lefty and one your best multi-inning reliever. There's some gamesmanship that comes with staters(at least in recent Brewers history)... but being too rigid, if Ashby is throwing really well, still taking him out after the first or 2nd in the most extreme case, I'd just go with Koenig. And I don't need him available in Gm3 as much as I need the Brewers to really put their figurative food on the Cubs figurative throats in Gm2. Lets say he's gets through 2 innings and he's just dealing. Why not put him back out there? I hope it's at least a discussion as that means Ashby's throwing well.
  21. Well, what I was saying was just going with a BP game for Gm2 if Ashby goes deep enough. If he just comes out and goes 1-2-3 in the first and his pitch count stays reasonable... ride it.
  22. I hear you guys, but the way Ashby has been throwing... and the time off during the series, I'd be looking for more than just 3 outs from him. Or at least I wouldn't have a set number. Ashby has overpowering stuff and that breaking ball can get a lot of swings and misses. I'd ride him until he got into trouble or for 3...even 4 innings. Let him empty the tank. The only real reason not to is because you'd want him to throw in Gm3, but... I'd prefer to just lock this one down.
  23. I don't hate this in theory... but I'm also not a huge fan. So you get a few innings, 3 MAYBE where you negate their LHed bats(hopefully). Then you're coming back with Priester for the next 3-4? Or is it just going by feel? Priester may or may not pitch? If Ashby is really dealing, you get through 3, do you just go a full on BP game? Patrick for an inning or 3(he has been pretty good as of late). Mears, Uribe, Koenig and then Megill? Hell, hopefully Misiorowski pitches with a healthy lead, but still an odd decision IMO.
