  1. Secret to getting through the waiting room: law of large numbers. You can't Control + N, but you can use File > Open New Window. I have 14 chances right now.
  2. I'll volunteer to head the team, so long as it doesn't interfere with team 1.
  3. http://i.usatoday.net/sports/_photos/2007/05/22/hardy-med.jpg I don't think there is any way he duplicates the first half he had last season. I also hope that he proves me wrong.
  4. The only thing that could make the CBS broadcast more boring is if, in lieu of commercials, it was a Channel 10/36 pledge drive.
  5. Having spoken with the natives during a game there, a roof is basically mandatory due to rain/lightning on a pretty regular basis during the summer. Thad said, I actually liked the Trop (for a dome), but that new stadium looks pretty sweet.
  6. The only thing I bought was for myself, a nice dockers pea coat (for fancy occasions). Originally $160, I was out the door for $50 including tax. I'll start Christmas shopping around December 20th. I work well under pressure.
  7. I'll pretty much play anywhere, though 1B, 3B, or a corner OF spot are probably safer. Also, C works.
  8. Of course, I'd be willing to play for both, as I am a softball junkie.
  9. Shea is like County Stadium, minus most of the positive attributes. We sat behind the plate, front row loge level, and had people walking in front of us the entire game. Food selection is limited, airplanes are loud, and small garbage tornados develop. Still was good to go, but I'll be in line to push the plunger to bring that place to the ground. BTW the upper deck should be called the UPPER UPPER UPPER deck, as i think it is 4 miles above sea level.
  10. Hey BHF, how was St. Louis? I've seen tickets prices are insane, but how were the sightlines? It looks way nicer than old Busch, thats for sure.
  11. http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n310/bball123h/viewfromplate2.jpghttp://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n310/bball123h/viewfromhome.jpghttp://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n310/bball123h/StLouis.jpghttp://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n310/bball123h/SkyDomeplateview.jpghttp://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n310/bball123h/Shealowerplateview.jpghttp://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n310/bball123h/philly.jpghttp://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n310/bball123h/ourseats2.jpghttp://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n310/bball123h/Phillyplateview.jpghttp://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n310/bball123h/Olympicplateview.jpghttp://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n310/bball123h/Florida.jpghttp://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n310/bball123h/100_0469.jpg The last one is a cool sign that may still be in Olympic stadium. All this time I thought I was supposed to throw my garbage at the players....

  13. The best for now would technically be MLB 2k7 for Gamecube. I haven't played it, though. I'm hoping 2k8 comes out for wii, though I don't see any release dates.
  14. MLB Power Pros looks like it was made for 4-year-olds, but it is utterly addictive, and a lot more complex than it appears (minor leagues, training, financial constraints, an RPG mode). Go buy it now.
  15. Why would Tampa ever do this? They give up Crawford, Baldelli, Edwin Jackson (not much I know) and Jeff Niemann (top pitching prospect IIRC) and bring in Villanueva, Turnbow, Joel Peralta, Ross Gload and Mat Gamel. I'd think they could do a ton better than that without giving up Jeff Niemann.
  16. Cardinal Stritch has a Sports Management degree. And although tuition is high, if your ACT scores and GPA are high enough, there are tons of scholarships just for walking through the door. I actually took a Sports Law class as an elective, and the professor used to write up the player contracts for the Bucks. They seem pretty well connected within Wisconsin (the people I knew in the program interned with the Brewers, Bucks, Admirals, Wave, Timber Rattlers, and Snappers).
  17. Judging by its size, I think T.I. caught Kevin Mench's hat after the last game of the season.
  18. Dang. I have Homer Bailey in a really deep fantasy league. Better trade while he still has some value.
  19. I don't even want to know what is happening inside a car that needs to be detailed every 2 weeks. I understand a buck in quarters to vacuum, and maybe 3 bucks a year on armor all/cleaners. I think I need to open my own detailing shop, complete with restaurant and cigarettes. Oh, and in keeping with the thread direction, the hookers and blow will be in the back room. My biggest waste of cash is probably the gas station fountain soda. However, I don't think a dollar a workday is killing my finances.
  20. Watch the Red Sox web site come November or so. I've gotten tickets direct before, and if you do it the first day tickets are on sale, I'd imagine you wouldn't having problem getting seats. If you want fancy seats, then probably look at ticket brokers.
  21. Does this mean that the Brewers are playing in the NLCS? Awesome!
  22. Your professor is a moron. Although, I would have used Math.Min instead of a series of nested if statements. I was pretty sure that for a midterm, that she wanted some sort of longhand thing using if statements (since that's about as far as we've gotten). Otherwise that would have been nice. This is about the 5th problem I've had with her so far. I may be bald by the end of the semester.
  23. My VB professor is evil incarnate: Create a function that accepts three integers and returns the Smallest number. My response: Public Function Smallest(ByVal int1 As Integer, ByVal int2 As Integer, ByVal int3 As Integer) As Integer If int1 < int2 Then If int1 < int3 Then Return int1 Else Return int2 End If Else If int2 < int3Then Return int2 Else Return int3 End If End If Grade: 0/20 Professor comments: Functions return a value!!! - NOT Correct - does not meet requirements. Requirement state -> Function that ACCEPTS three integers - that should have been your clue to PASS the integers to the function and Return the Smallest. Your function is not accepting any parameters or returning anything. Well, at least she refuses to respond to email in this online class, so I'm sure we'll get it sorted out.
  24. Well, looks like its time to check into Red Sox tickets. I need to experience cramming my massive 6'3'' frame into a miniature chair for 3+ hours.
  25. Here is what I have cobbled together thus far: April 18-20 at Cincy May 2-4 at HOU May 6-8 at FLA June 10-12 at HOU June 30 - July 3 at AZ August 4-7 at Cincy August 15-17 at LAD September 19-21 at Cincy
