  1. I thought it was to good to be true that Mitchell would be in the lineup tomorrow.
  2. From Cubs chat room: Sentence #1 on the post you are referring to.
  3. That was a post off the Cubs chat room, I didn't wright that. So don't blame me for for it, I just reposted it.
  4. Hopefully he will only be on the IL for 15 days. It could be worse, PHILADELPHIA -- The Phillies placed both Bryce Harper (left hamstring strain) and Kyle Schwarber (left groin strain) on the 10-day injured list.
  5. Jed Hoyer said to media yesterday on Cubs bad stretch. “It's felt sort of like, two weeks turned into four, turned into six, has turned into eight, that's the reality, right?”
  6. Good point, Frelick being a smaller guy 5" 8" 185 you would think he would be more dangerous on the bases.
  7. I see this rumor isn't going away. Amid these challenges, the Brewers have been linked to breakout starter Erick Fedde of the Chicago White Sox in trade rumors, according to Rymer. Fedde, who has impressed this season with his ability to provide innings and limit home runs, would be a valuable addition to Milwaukee's rotation.

  9. If the Cubs are going to pick up Andrew Chafin to boost there bullpen they are toast for the year. Could there be a Cubs-Tigers trade? So Craig Counsell can trust the bullpen again. The Chicago Cubs needs bullpen help if they want to salvage their playoff hopes. Andrew Chafin can make a lot of bullpens better.
  10. OF Garrett Mitchell (fractured left index finger) Expected return: This weekend Mitchell's 20-day rehab assignment expires on June 29 and Brewers manager Pat Murphy hinted the outfielder's next stop would be the big leagues, saying the club hadn't discussed optioning him to Triple-A Nashville in order to let Mitchell continue logging at-bats. Mitchell had a scare when he appeared to grab at his left hamstring during a game on June 26, but he was back in the Sounds' lineup the next day. "We're going to take every precaution," Murphy said, "but he's close." (Last updated: June 28)

  12. Both of them are absolutely clowns. No accountability, brains or braun. Clearly the Brewers talents made it easy for the noodle brain Counsell when he managed 90 miles north.
  13. Diabetes can cause wounds to heal more slowly due to a number of factors, including: Poor circulation High blood sugar levels can thicken and narrow blood vessels, making it harder for blood to reach wounds and deliver oxygen and nutrients. This is especially common in the lower limbs, which are further from the heart. Microvascular disease Diabetes can cause microvascular disease that impairs blood flow and can lead to poor wound perfusion. Hyperglycemia High blood sugar can also lead to osmotic diuresis, which can decrease oxygenation and perfusion. Hyperglycemia can also increase the risk of wound infection, which can decrease healing. Weakened immune system High blood sugar can stress the body and make the immune system work harder, including white blood cells. Diabetic patients also have slower moving white blood cells than the average person, which can lead to a reduced immune response. Peripheral neuropathy This condition can reduce feeling in the feet, making it difficult to feel cuts or injuries that can lead to blisters or sores.
  14. We have lots of options with Mitchell if he ever gets here, we even have the DH roll to consider besides the outfield. But at this early point I wouldn't even consider Mitchell an everyday player.
  15. Cubs were 83-79 in 2023 and now in 2024 they would have to win 7 in a row just to get back to .500
  16. I think mid 4's for an ERA would be my upper limit but we could deal with that unless the Brewers go on a run drought (crossed fingers we don't).
  17. That is just ridiculous, in fact, how could it not relate to the 40 man roster?
  18. Type II Diabetes is when your body makes some insulin when needed so all you have to do is take Metformin. Type I Diabetes is when your body makes zero insulin and is fatal if not constantly monitored. Also Type I can lead to kidney failure and many other health issues like wound healing and circulation problems.
  19. I'm sure his constant injury issues have something to do with him being a Type 1 Diabetic since he was 9 years old. But if he can ever stay healthy he will be a major force to be recon with. https://www.mlb.com/brewers/video/garrett-mitchell-s-two-home-run-game
  20. The Garrett Mitchell Show: Out Again, Leaves Game with Apparent Hamstring Injury.
  21. Also Garrett Mitchell re-injured himself today it seems. The last day of his rehab. https://www.mlb.com/brewers/news/brewers-injuries-and-roster-moves

  23. I say pitching. I know we have a few pitchers coming back but who is to say they will be 100% or as effective they were before the injury.
  24. Your in panic mode right now, R-E-L-A-X
  25. The trade deadline is still 6 weeks away. So we have 6 more weeks to do something. Trust me this is not going to be our only move.
