  1. Honestly, if you gave money to brewerfan, and we were short on money for Yuku, I'd just allocate it directly to Yuku, so it's the same thing. As far as donations go in general, I'm in the process of re-writing Brewerfan (the non-message-board) part from scratch, and we'll be moving it (along with lambeauleap) to a new server. At that point, I'll get a better feel for whether we're operating at a deficit or a surplus (as we do have SOME advertising revenue).
  2. What's really odd there is the 0.45 G/F ratio. .974 OPS against. Ouch.
  3. Dunno... the Grease soundtrack might be worse.
  4. Well, adding another arm rotation allows flexibility in moving a rotation arm to the pen to rid the team of the scourge of Mota. But yeah, honestly, if either LaPorta or Gamel get moved in a deal without at least something other than Sabathia coming back, I think the club would regret it.

  7. I'd be happy with Dillon being Branyan's platoon partner in the short term. Seems like a trade that would work for both teams. And not happy with Dave Eckstein? Who would have seen that one coming?
  8. I guess I have a hard time believing McPhail wouldn't do a Weeks for Roberts trade straight-up, given Roberts's contract situation (FA after next year). BTW, OriolesHangout is a terrific site.
  9. I remember that as well. You know, obviously the kid wasn't doing well because he was a Make-a-Wish kid... but I guess he sounded full of life when I heard him on the radio. I guess it just reinforces how fragile life can be sometimes.
  10. Guys, these really sounds like tabloid rumors.

  12. If that's really the case (regarding the hamate), that's pretty huge news. Brad was really on his way before the hamate injury. I hope the Brewers can deal him to a team that can use him, as it's time for him to get his shot. Great kid as well.
  13. ...and that's not to mention that the signing club already took care of the signing bonus.
  14. Sweet, thanks for the link. I just did that.
  15. Yeah, he subcontracted through us out at Sentry. His gig ended last year.
  16. Did you know John Heffron?
  17. He must have never been to the La Quinta in Huntsville.
  18. He doesn't know how to divide by zero.
  19. I can't imagine the O's doing this ... ZachJack and Gwynn are throw-ins at this point.
  20. Put your resume on Monster and find some recruiters. Pretty much all there is to it, although it helps if you have friends in the industry that are hiring for that sort of thing, as it's hard to break in sometimes without networking. What kind of programming are you doing in school?
  21. Better to be on the team's payroll and hurting the Sounds than on the team's payroll and hurting the Brewers.
  22. Meh, give him a few outings, and if he doesn't look good, put him on waivers. Either: a) someone claims him b) he forfeits his money to become a FA c) he's out of harms way with Turnbow
