  1. Redd's Apple Ale is really good. We don't drink beer but bought a 12 pack of bottles after getting a free tasting at The Keg. For people that don't like beer, give it a chance.
  2. That's because they have the guys who got it wrong in the first place decide if they made a bad call. NHL has it right by having someone else (who is actually used to watching the game on a monitor) make the final decision. I am sure most people here have more experience watching a baseball game on TV than any of the umps. Steve Czaben has mentioned before that there are millions of people with more experience watching NFL games with slo-mo replays than the zebras on the field.
  3. Besides being a bad game, it's amateur night out here in the bleachers. We both have huge headaches right now.
  4. Sorry I haven't checked this sub forum in a while. I can do ten a.m.
  5. I heard a college student behind me last night shout "YuniBomber" while the ball was still going up. Given his lack of knowledge about some Brewers or baseball in general, I doubt he frequents this site.
  6. Freese has made an out (at least yesterday). But five of his eleven hits this year have been against the Brewers.
  7. 12-16 with DPR still running the show.
  8. The Cardinals were getting that pick as long they didn't sign him. We just lost a pick.
  9. Only the Twins have walked fewer batters than the Brewers (38-41). But also take into account games they haven't played. They have only pitched 141 innings to our 163.
  10. I understand it since I umpired. They got it 100 percent correct. There was no reason to review this call. Each runner is awarded two bags. It is usually from the time the fielder releases the ball. The exception is when an infielder is trying to throw out the batter running to first. Then it is two bags from where you were when the pitcher had the ball.
  11. By judging from some of the people here, I can shot my gun randomly and hit someone. As long as I don't do it a second time, it was just a one time mistake and isn't a big deal. Yovanni didn't make one little mistake. He got caught once. I think there is a very good chance he has done this before. Driving Drunk is risking killing someone else. I am not friends with people who have done it. I haven't done it. We will not be providing beer at our wedding in October. It gets over at 3pm on a Sunday and we will not be enabling drunk driving. It shocks me when people just don't seem to care.
  12. Yes I did. Bill Veeck bought them when they were in St. Louis. He tried to move them back to Milwaukee. He had previously owned the minor league Milwaukee Brewers and knew we were a great baseball market. The other American League owners blocked him from moving so close to ChiSox territory. He finally decided to move the franchise to Baltimore and renamed them the Orioles.
  13. Security questions are only as secure as a password. Actually, less so. Most people could do some on line searching and figure out my mother's maiden name. My pet's name? Most friends know and would probably freely give that info to strangers.
  14. The teams make more money from local deals by giving them exclusive access. The YES network can charge mega bucks by being the only way for NY residents to watch Yankee games. MLB.tv has those Blackout restrictions because all 30 clubs have them already written into their TV deals.
  15. I have Dish Network in Milwaukee. What channel is this game on? I can't seem to find it.
  16. That is the same reason we couldn't get lids in Minnesota, "Too many fans throw them on the field". Do people really take off the lids and throw them?
  17. Fun happening from the game last night. JaDerHeyski warned me to "be ready to catch this". The next pitch to Fowler landed 5ft short of being in my lap. Have to give her props for calling his shot.
  18. Gorman's Grill on two consecutive nights have refused us lids for our designated driver drinks. They claim the Brewers aren't providing lids for that size anymore. I asked Hawing and she did not have this problem. I will have to find a different stand to use.
  19. I don't see why not. There's a reason it was installed in the first place. Be aware that you may have to use a Function-F? key to use this feature. (The F-Key to use varies by model. Look for something that looks boxy like a screen. It's called monitor switch.) It should switch between 3 modes: display on laptop screen, display through VGA output, display to both. I imagine most of the problems people were having were not knowing this existed. I had to look this up in the manual when I was having problems doing this with my first laptop.
  20. Dish Network says that it is blacked out in my area. And FSNorth is showing Baylor vs Iowa St women's basketball. Blackout rules suck.
  21. Canada also didn't bring in Axford for the top of the 9th because Braun and Lucroy were waiting for him. I was really looking forward to those match ups.
  22. If they go to radios, be sure to let me know what channel they use. I'd love to here what the heck they are thinking while at the game.
  23. Because then they will miss their opportunity to jack up prices if they have a surprisingly good year. They never seem to lower prices again after a disaster year. They just cut payroll and claim they'll take a loss with less butts in the seats.
