  1. Using the back of my envelope, Bruan will have 119 more ABs. In order to pass Cabrera, he would need 60 more hits. That's a .499 avg for just over a month. Even optimistically, he won't do it.
  2. On the Baseball Prospectus playoff report, why are the Cardinals a deep blue while the Brewers are brown?
  3. He ripped a ball deep to the gap on a line. If the outfield wasn't playing deep, that was easily extra bases.
  4. If he would only pop up on the first pitch instead of striking out, he would be a much better offensive player... An out is an out. Sometimes certain outs are better. Sometimes those same outs are worse.
  5. Unless we claim him back. There might have been a handshake agreement that they just needed to borrow him for a couple of weeks.
  6. Due to our family emergency, we will not be able to use our tickets for these games (Monday and Wednesday). Pair of tickets in the Field Bleachers, Row 1 for each game. Retail is $30 each ticket. I will probably donate them on Sunday unless a Brewers fan wants to put in an offer.
  7. You don't have an HDMI port on your laptop? If you do you should be able to watch all the streaming on your TV. Then my laptop (re: websurfing) is no longer available. Especially when the real solution is to have basketball/soccer on only one channel at a time.
  8. Great, so it streams during the day when I'm at work and can't stream video. I come home and want to watch what happened. Not just what the Americans did in a handful of sports. Even when I'm home, I'd rather watch the events on my 50" TV than my 15" laptop. And if you're going to have a channel dedicated to soccer, don't show soccer on a different channel. At least swap the two so those that don't want to watch soccer can watch something.
  9. The two Reds fans behind us were begging for a hit for every batter starting in the 3rd. By the 5th they were hoping for a hit by pitch, walk, error, or anything. They were also the type of fans that were amazed that we had Fox Sports South on the TVs in the stadium. Apparently they didn't look 10 seats to their left where the Fox Sports North pre-game show just took place.
  10. Probably a day off, just like #16 yesterday. Let's hope he doesn't pitch hit in an obvious intentional walk spot.
  11. I wonder how many people go to football games wearing a Miami Braun jersey?
  12. Hey, I'm only occasionally ridiculous. Don't block me bro! What's bugging me? Having my personal phone blow up at work on Friday while I was very busy. I finally answered it the 10th time someone called when I noticed it was my mom. She had taken my father into the hospital for a possible stoke. The good news is the CAT scan showed that there was no stroke. The bad news is that it showed a giant brain tumor. Other good news is that the bullpen's inability to make outs no longer bothers me.
  13. And 1 of those wins was only because Greinke got ejected after 4 pitches. I like how Dillard was always put into the game at critical junctions. Then we acquired Hernandez to replace him. Now RRR refuses to use his mop up guy that might be better than his 7th-8th inning guys.
  14. Milwaukee Rec league ?911s? It plays on Mon and Wed (6:30, 7:30, or 8:30) at Sijan field (the other one from where we play). This league got canceled last year because not enough teams signed up.
  15. They can't call safe/out correctly. Now you expect them to be able to give a runner 3 bags on a ground rule double? There would be way more manager arguments.
  16. We also got a 16-6 3.83 pitcher during our best chance at a championship in a generation.
  17. To be fair, this isn't TWC's fault exactly. They are required by law to carry over the air broadcasts. Hearst Television (WISN's parent company) wants more money for their stations and won't allow TWC to carry them.
  18. It drizzled pretty good at BF.net's softball game.
  19. The runner is not forced out for not tagging. It is actually a live appeal play. You are appealing that he left early, the same as if the pitcher stepped off the rubber and threw to first. If the runner gets back to the bag before you get the ball there, he obviously didn't leave early. If you get the ball back before the runner is there, he obviously left early. Since it is not a force out the run counts if the runner tags home before you appeal.
  20. Prospects can be PTBNL. If it's DL related, it's someone in the majors.
  21. What's bugging me is the attention...prostitutes...at Miller Park games. I saw 5 different adults last night with their phone numbers on those Kohl's signs. Really? You are so horrible at meeting people you resort to simply handing your phone number out to everyone? 3 of these people were...not young adults.
  22. I've been tracking that for a while. I'm going to Saturday's game and not going again until Tuesday. So he better 4 hit again on Saturday or only get 1 hit a game.
