I like the trade for Miller but other than that, it was a pretty miserable day. Probably one of the more frustrating trade deadline days that I can remember. And just to add insult to injury, it looks like we're losing Chourio for a bit.

Last time they spent considerable prospect capital was over 7 years ago when they acquired Yelich. I guess you could say they are due for a big one but this regime holds onto to their prospects pretty tight.

Very true and this is probably how Arnold and company views it as well. Just seems like the right time to be a little more aggressive than usual. Still 4 hours to go...

I mean, the "bite of the apple" approach has gotten us exactly 0 playoff series victories since 2018. Are we good with that? I have higher expectations than that at this point. We are way past the point of just being happy making the playoffs.

The Padres have always been a super aggressive organization. Wouldn't surprise me if they made a couple of big moves today.

Hoskins has mostly stunk as a Brewer. I wouldn't count on him for anything. I am excited to get Gasser back though.

Jose Ramirez would make a lot more sense if we're doing business with Cleveland but I wouldn't be mad if they got Kwan. Under contract for a couple more years too.
