  1. I wanna puke.
  2. They've been in contention every year since 2017 so I'd bet the same will be true for 2025. If they want to trade Williams, the time to do it is this offseason. Much like Adames, they won't be trading Williams mid-season.
  3. I don't see us doing much of anything in terms of acquiring starting pitching in the offseason. I think you can pretty much pencil in Peralta, Myers, Civale and Woodruff as the starters. Gasser obviously won't be ready to go to start the year. Either we go out and grab another starter (and Rea is the long man) or Rea is your 5th starter. Misiorowski is probably the first guy up following an injury.
  4. Williams is obviously the biggest turd in this debacle followed closely by Adames and Hoskins who basically did nothing in three games.
  5. The offense is going to have to win this one tonight and I don't see that happening.
  6. So there's no scenario in which we play the Braves in the wildcard round? If that's the case, we're just rooting for a split tomorrow and we get the Mets.
  7. As of now, this is the scenario that is playing out.
  8. Good point. Seems like #5 in your list of scenarios is the likeliest which as you pointed out, is not the best but not the worst outcome.
  9. Just need the Braves to lose today...I think that pretty much guarantees the doubleheader happens tomorrow. I think the Mets and Dbacks both win today.
  10. And the Mets own the tiebreaker over the Dbacks, correct?
  11. Is anyone else getting the Twins game on Fox? Ugh!
  12. It would be interesting to see our offensive stats in September and beyond for the past 5 or so years. We do seem to struggle offensively once September rolls around.
  13. Atlanta would sweep us too considering we'd have to face Sale and Fried although I don't think the Braves get in at this point. I think the Mets end up getting that last wildcard.
  14. Couldn't agree more. We'd definitely have more of a chance against the Dodgers beat up rotation.
  15. Sure does. I'm too lazy to look up his career stats against us but I'm sure it's total domination.
  16. Should be an interesting series as we are facing the Phillies three best starters. The Phillies have been on a roll as of late and the Brewers have historically not fared well against these guys.
  17. With Snell on the mound, we can all probably go to bed early tonight.
  18. Bold prediction: The Brewers will generate little to no offense against Snell and will have to win a very low scoring game.
  19. The offense is what's going to keep the Brewers from making any kind of a run in the playoffs.
  20. How many years have we struggled against lefties now? Seems like this goes way back.
  21. How is Oakland's bullpen? I don't see us doing much of anything against Sears.
  22. Sears has been pretty good lately and our offense hasn't exactly been clicking on all cylinders the past couple of weeks or so. Oakland isn't nearly as bad as they were in the beginning of the season.
  23. On this date a year ago, we were 3 games up on the Reds and Cubs so obviously this 11 game lead feels nice and comfy.
