Yeah I don’t know about that. I think they’ve had a pretty good offseason being able to address the team’s biggest weakness by signing Hoskins. The bullpen is still really good. I like our lineup even with the young, unproven guys in there. They could probably use another veteran starting pitcher but other than that, I’m pretty happy.

Yeah and they’ll need to be WAY out of the playoff race. Even if they’re just in the hunt which is very likely, they’re not going to pull another Hader trade and piss everybody off. -

Hasn't Gasser already played 1+ seasons in AAA? He needs to be in the rotation on OD unless he has a horrific spring.

Yep, the chances of a Burnes/Adames trade this offseason just went from 5% to basically no chance in hell. They’re all in.

From what you have heard, Is Arnold's asking price just way too much? My fear is that the Brewers are being so unreasonable in their asking price, that teams are just not even trying at this point.

Possible January Signings

We’re halfway through January with very little movement in free agency. You could have probably titled this “February Signings.” That said, I’d be looking at Hoskins or Santana. Don’t think they’ll be looking at pitching. -
The irritating part is they could trade us a couple of their higher-end prospects and still have the best system in all of baseball.

I’m guessing Burnes going to another hearing would make a trade even more complicated? I’m hoping they just settle this time around.

I was hoping for a Burnes-Arraez trade last offseason with the Twins. Always thought he’d be perfect in our lineup but with only two years left of team control, not sure he makes a ton of sense at this point.

This. If we are even remotely in the playoff hunt which is extremely likely, then Burnes is going nowhere at the deadline. They’re not going to pull another Hader trade.
