  1. They are bottom 5 in all of mlb in just about every offensive category, except for homeruns. Not sure how anyone could make the argument that this is a good offense.
  2. June 10 and I’m still waiting for that big breakout game from Chourio where he goes something like 4-5 with a homerun, couple doubles and 5 RBI’s.
  3. Carolina banged up a bit. Lara came out of last night's game early and is out of the lineup for game 1 today. Hopefully nothing serious. Guilarte has been out for a couple of weeks now.
  4. There's about a 99% chance Burnes won't get traded at the deadline. He'll get traded in the offseason. I guess we could completely fall apart in the next 7 or so weeks and drop in the standings, but I doubt it.
  5. Nice! I might have make a trip over to Appleton to see him pitch.
  6. Still no sign of Guilarte. Been out for a bit now.
  7. I actually feel pretty good about this game. We can't stink against EVERY lefty, can we? Burnes pitches a gem and the offense puts up 6 or so runs.
  8. Is Felix Valerio back? Still just 22 years old.
  9. In my experience with minor league injuries, you don’t hear anything until that player is actually back playing again or at least very close to coming back.
  10. Winker and Wiemer have provided next to nothing offensively. Turang has provided very little. Mitchell and Frelick were supposed to provide a spark offensively but have been injured all year. Urias has also been injured all year. Brian Anderson started out hot but has since cooled. Yelich and Contreras have been alright but nothing earth-shattering. Tyrone Taylor has provided nothing offensively since returning from injury. Tellez, one of the team's best hitters, only plays against RHP. Before getting injured, Adames was hitting near the Mendoza Line. Owen Miller is probably the lone bright spot. The offense is a hot mess right now.
  11. Yeah, he's really heating up at the plate which is nice to see. Did have two errors and now 10 on the year. I'm too lazy to look up his scouting report but how was his defense rated coming into the draft last year?
  12. Makes sense but I sure hope you’re right. The last thing this organization needs is another injury.
  13. Chourio with 4 hits and 5 rbi’s in his last two games and Carlos Rodriguez with a fantastic outing tonight. Great night for the Shuckers.
  14. How are the Brewers not last in just about every offensive category?
  15. Nice to see Chourio break out of his slump and Quero has been on a homerun binge.
  16. Won't be long before Misiorowski is a top 100 prospect.
  17. In 20 games with the Mudcats, Luis Lara now has twice as many walks as he does strikeouts (16:8 walks to strikeouts). I had to do a double take when I saw that. Really exciting prospect.
  18. Biloxi’s offense sure has trouble getting anything going considering the talent in that lineup. Chourio’s batting average is going the wrong direction and his strikeouts are up again. Blah.
