  1. I’m going to guess he takes some sort of advisory role in the front office that allows him more flexibility to see his family.
  2. If Valerio keeps up this pace over the new few weeks or so, I'd like to see him bumped up to AAA. Feels like he's been in AA forever.
  3. Lara and Guilarte being out of the lineup certainly doesn't help. Hopefully they are back soon. Those are two big bats.
  4. There's about a 99% chance Burnes won't get traded at the deadline. He'll get traded in the offseason. I guess we could completely fall apart in the next 7 or so weeks and drop in the standings, but I doubt it.
  5. Nice! I might have make a trip over to Appleton to see him pitch.
  6. Winker and Wiemer have provided next to nothing offensively. Turang has provided very little. Mitchell and Frelick were supposed to provide a spark offensively but have been injured all year. Urias has also been injured all year. Brian Anderson started out hot but has since cooled. Yelich and Contreras have been alright but nothing earth-shattering. Tyrone Taylor has provided nothing offensively since returning from injury. Tellez, one of the team's best hitters, only plays against RHP. Before getting injured, Adames was hitting near the Mendoza Line. Owen Miller is probably the lone bright spot. The offense is a hot mess right now.
  7. Hard to believe we're middle of the pack in homeruns, considering we've gotten nothing out of Voit, Contreras and Winker in that department.
  8. Monterrey might be a better overall option. 2nd largest city in Mexico and is closer to the U.S. than Mexico City so travel wouldn't be as bad.
  9. Chourio had a good weekend so hopefully he's starting to heat up and Black has been good, but for the most part, there hasn't been a whole lot to get excited about.
  10. And many people don't visit Vegas in the middle of summer, which makes up the bulk of the baseball season. I'll be interested to see what kind of crowds they get in June, July and August every season.
  11. We'll see but I believe they've played Wiemer in CF on days when Mitchell doesn't start.
  12. Yeah Wiemer moves to CF and Frelick/Perkins plays RF.
  13. I think this is spot-on. As a side note, really sucks for Mitchell who just cannot stay healthy. If you follow the minor leagues closely, you’ll know that Mitchell was hurt a ton.
  14. Hoping the same for Valerio!
  15. Frelick or Wiemer will almost certainly be up in mid-April once service time is no longer an issue. There's no way they're going to roll with Miller and Anderson in the outfield for an extended period of time.
  16. I think Mitchell is a lock to start the year in Milwaukee unless he absolutely flops or gets injured in ST. I've accepted the fact that the Brewers will wait until at least May 1 to call up Frelick to gain the extra year of control.
  17. Very much appreciated, @endaround. Thank you. So you basically you gain an extra year of pre-arby (which is cheap comparatively) by keeping the player down until mid-season. They become a free agent the same year, regardless. My gut tells me they won't wait around until mid-season to call Frelick up.
