  1. Trouble is that this year free agency moved a lot quicker than previous years and there is little to nothing left, outside of some bullpen arms as you noted.
  2. Really cool article. It was fun looking back at these performances. Lauer’s game against the Phillies was pretty awesome so tough not to include that one in the top 5, but can’t disagree with the rest.
  3. We're in an awkward position next offseason if we make the playoffs and win a series or two. Now you're talking about having to trade some combination of the big three? You certainly don't want to wait until the 2024 trade deadline. The time to trade one or two of them was probably this offseason but I can see both sides of that argument. I don't envy Arnold one bit - he's in a tough spot with these guys.
  4. Are the Brewers going to partake in free agency at all this year? Kinda bizarre. Maybe they’re working on an extension or two?
  5. Bauer has been on record saying he loves Milwaukee in the summer so I could see a one year deal, assuming the Brewers were willing to take a little heat in signing him. Our rotation would be really good and really deep.
  6. Yeah the fixed roof thing seems completely made up and Chourio possibly starting the year in AAA would be insanely aggressive. Don’t see the Brewers doing that.
  7. Wiemer on the OD roster would certainly be a surprise. Not a total shocker, but a surprise. No mention of Frelick is also interesting unless I missed it.
  8. The lack of impactful corner bats is likely a factor in the Brewers sitting out free agency so far. A large portion of the free agent market was made up of shortstops, pitchers and outfielders, none of which are priorities at this point. Catcher was the one position I figured they’d look to sign but they ended up acquiring via trade. Doesn’t surprise me all that much that they haven’t spent any money.
  9. I still think the Dodgers and Brewers match up the best in terms of a Burnes trade…and Adames if they want to turn it into a mega trade. The Dodgers have a bunch of really good infield and pitching prospects that the Brewers would covet. Whether the Dodgers would be willing to give up an absolute haul to acquire one or both of our guys is the million dollar question.
  10. I would imagine he’ll almost certainly be looking at a one year, prove it type deal. Adding Bauer to our rotation would be pretty sweet. Just sayin.
  11. Agreed. Especially with him coming off neck and knee surgery this offseason.
  12. Which makes me think they are content with the team they currently have constructed. MA can afford these contracts the mid-level guys are getting. They’re just not interested in signing them.
  13. Yeah the list of even remotely interesting free agents is almost down to none for me. Maybe a couple of bullpen arms.
  14. The Brewers should just give the poor guy a fresh start with a rebuilding team who will give him consistent playing time. The back and forth between AAA and MLB and the very sporadic playing time isn't doing him any good.
  15. I really hope we don't plan on keeping Frelick and/or Turang down until mid-June.
  16. Do we know approximately when the super 2 cutoff will be?
  17. Yeah I wonder what the cost would be to acquire Baty now that he’s blocked for the next 12 years. What do the Mets still need if anything?
  18. The NL East is going to be ridiculous this year.
  19. BA = Brian Anderson but who is EL?
  20. Yeah I’d rather roll with some of our rookies than sign a guy like Andrew McCutchen again. No thanks.
  21. Yeah the Mets or Padres will offer him $300+ million and not even blink an eye.
  22. I'm glad you figured that one out because I was completely stumped.
  23. I’m obviously biased toward our OF prospects but it would have to be for one heck of a good pitcher. We’ve already dealt Ruiz so if you trade another of these guys, all of a sudden your outfield depth is taking a bit of a hit.
  24. Yeah I get the feeling the Brewers are content with their infield as it's presently constructed. Drury doesn't seem to be in the cards for Milwaukee.
