  1. Win you idiots or I will boycott all broadcasts until Saturday and all attendance until Sunday!!!!! I just can't bring myself to think that we won't win this game. But knowing that we will be losing 5-0 in the 3rd inning and I'll have to turn off the TV and to sporadically check Gameday just to make sure we didn't make a comeback.
  2. Mine is pretty self explanatory I live in Fond du Lac I am a fan of beer I am a fan of the Brewers
  3. So Yahoo Sports has this Who's Hot & Who's Not section on their MLB page. It is based on stats from the last 7 days. Take a wild guess who is listed as Who's Not? If you guessed CC Sabathia you already looked. Yeah he of the 2.16 ERA in the last 7 days. (Not condoning use of ERA but that is the main statistic Yahoo uses for this thing) This isn't so much a vent, but rather a "What the Heck" moment.
  4. My wife probably would say me after about an hour of playing basketball. Even with preventative measures it is pretty bad. I also grew up on a farm but when you grow up on one you are used to it. I never really noticed anything, it was always when we had visitors that the smell was brought up. As far as farm animals go I would say pigs are the smelliest and it really isn't close. Goat farts aren't exactly pleasant either
  5. Now that the Favre fiaso is over we can get on with our lives and pay more attention to the fact that as of this day we would be in the playoffs for the first time in a bazillion years. The Brewers last made the playoffs before I was born and the only Packer QB I ever remember was Favre, so if I am going to see a new Packer QB I might as well see some Brewer playoffs as well
  6. The new Food Network show "ask ?" I forgot her name but she looks pretty attractive. I am embarrased to say that I watch the Food Network a little to much, I am kind of obsessed with Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives and Iron Chef
  7. He got lucky in his start against the Braves. He was getting absolutely pounded but everything they hit was right at someone. He easily could have given up 5 or more runs that game, it was an amazing feat that he didn't give up any. I want a couple more good starts like he had against the Reds before I am prepared to say he is better than McClung at this point
  8. The last time we got high expectations after a good road trip we crashed and burned. We are going 0-7
  9. Go Cubbies. The Cardinals are closer to us in the standings right nowand they are standing in the way of our first playoff berth since before I was born. We can make the playoffs if we are behind the Cubs, we can't if we are behind the Cards
  10. My god did Backe just get obliterated. 10 runs and he is responsible for 3 guys on base. Not everyday are you allowed to give up as many as 13 runs in a game
  11. I thought Backe was actually suppose to be good. I am sure a lot of Astros fans had some high hopes for him but he has been just dreadful. I am not to worried about how the Cubs do right now, I am concentrating more on the Cards, Marlins, Mets, and Philles. Maybe if we get within 3 games or so I'll start to get invested in the Cubs games again
  12. Could I get a final definite amount that will be coming off the books next year assuming we dont resign any of our FA's. I would assume that we pick up Torres's option but don't pick up Cameron. Assuming we keep the same payroll as this year how much room do we have to work with and how much of that room will be occupied by arby pay raises?
  13. I think the large majority of new posters have already lurked around here for a while so they should already know the rules. I know I lurked for a long while before I registered. A message board is a good place for fans to let their opinions be known. I for one don't use a whole lot of statistics behind my arguments and sure I tend to post on emotional highs or emotional lows. If these kinds of post weren't allowed their would be much much less traffic here. As long as you aren't disrespectful of other people's opinion and are open to a logical discussion, I don't see what the issue is. Every message board ever created is bound to turn ugly when things go bad, it really doesn't matter how many "band wagon" fans are posting, because it isn't like diehard Brewer fans resist posting when they are PO'd either. It just happens. Game threads especially aren't really meant to be a place for deep discussion because the game itself is so emotional and you certianly don't want to spend a bunch of time typing instead of actually watching the game.
  14. I was pretty optimistic that the hiring of Simmons would influence Ned in a good way since Ted is considered an excellent baseball mind. Either Ned flat out refuses to listen to Ted, Ted isn't all he was cracked up to be, our Ned has corrupted Ted.
  15. Apparently Ned feels that Branyan needs to stay in the dugout the thwart any potential incidents. That is the only reason I can come up with for why Counsell is playing over Branyan latey. Branyan is probably in the doghouse for some reason. Or this could be the most screwed up platoon ever with Hall playing against left handed pitchers Monday-Wednesday, Branyan playing against righties only at home when the temperature is between 80-90 degrees, and then Counsell is left to play the remaining games.
  16. POST OF THE WEEK. I agree! I was surprised that this wasn't caught earlier.... Actually I am pretty sure Ned just ran after the buck until it got tired and ran into a wall. I know, I know it isn't as good as the original joke, I try I guess
  17. My favorite player has been and always will be Ben Sheets. He was the one who got me to start following the Brewers again. If and when he is gone Gallardo will probably take over the throne for me.
  18. To me it isn't so much that Yost never talks truthfully or at all, it is just that he comes across as being extremely arrogant. Like the sports writers have absolutely no clue what they are talking about. Ned you aren't as smart as you think you are. Its the sports writers job to ask those questions just like it is your job to take Suppan out of the game before he gives up 8 runs in an inning. For being on the job for 6 years already he really hasn't learned how to deal with the media or how to handle the pressure of being in a pennant race. Last year he bombed in the race and this year isn't exactly looking promising. Things can change quickly though. Ill echo the statements about Fielder. What in the heck was he thinking. Does he remember how many times the pitching has bailed out our sorry (at times) offense. I really think, the next time the Brewers lose 1-0, Seth McClung should say something to Fielder. I don't really think that, the outcome would probably be hilarious though. I really hope Fielder goes into some anger management counselling. I am sure Jack Nicholson could help, or perhaps Dr. Phil. As the years have gone on I have actually started to hate Cecil less because he may have been right in saying that Prince really needs to grow up. You would hate his anger to prevent him from fulfilling all his goals in MLB. You don't want to see him deck an umpire or another player and get tossed from the league or something like that.
  19. 1. Erin Andrews 2. Elisha Cuthbert 3. Jennifer Aniston 4. Jennie Finch
  20. The wife from King of Queens also made a brief appearance on the show as one of Zack's love interests. Heck that show seems to have been a springboard for careers for everyone except Screech. Screech was just that type of role where he could never move on to something else.
  21. Saved by the Bell also was in Cleveland there first year correct? The only characters that remained once they moved to Bayside were Zack, Lisa, Screech, and Mr. Belding. Don't even get me started on the College Years. In dorm rooms you can't really have a co-ed suite can you? Plus there were 6 of them living in there, how is that even possible? The Producers of Saved by the Bell just couldn't let the show die. Their Las Vegas wedding was especially awful. Has Zack even worked in Hollywood since then?
  22. Iwas very happy that ABC Family picked up Family Matters. Was one of my favorite shows growing up. It was in TGIF correct? Along with Step by Step, and other ones I can't remember anymore. Maybe Boy Meets World? I had the hots for Topanga. If Saved by the Bell was a real show I am pretty sure Zack Morris would have been in Juvy about 20 different times and he also wouldn't have any friends.
  23. Nothing like going to Atlanta after sucking big time against the Cubs. I have no doubt that Atlanta, our house of horrors, will bring out the worst in Ned.
  24. Well Gamel certianly appears to be slumping. Has the departure of LaPorta changed his approach or his protection because he seems to have fallen off since Matt got traded
