    I can't tell if you're being sarcastic here or not. If you're not, then I really have a beef with what you wrote. I hope he was just joking because I would guess a very large portion of posters here would find it impossible to buy a 4 seat full season ticket package including myself. What is that, $10 large?

    Speaking of High Life... Why was the High Life dude their on Saturday? I missed the game but the Sunday broadcast repeatedly showed the High Life man cheering. Were they shooting a commercial that day, was he just promoting High Life, or is he actually a Brewers fan?

    While we are on the topic of bashin ESPN.... What the heck happened to ESPN Classic? Is it now the ESPN Poker, Bowling, and Gladiator Rerun channel? These shows are classics to about .0000001% of the population.

    I almost forgot that curtain call. The fans seemed suprised that he did it, it was kind of a "Giving yourself a pat on the back" kind of moment. Pretty sure you don't get a curtain call for a game tying HR in the 6th inning, unless it is a milestone HR, which is wasn't..I was just happy he ran out last night's homer even though it was a bomb.

    They can't devote 75% of the show to Wisconsin, 74.5% is already devoted to Brett Favre, anything more than 45 seconds on the Brewers would put them over their "They drink a lot of beer and eat a lot of brats in Wisconsin" quota.

    In related news Yost will never talk to Haudricourt again. I am suprised TH wrote that blog because you can guarantee the Brewers brass isn't going to like it one bit, even if it is true. It also makes me think if Rickie ever reads these ttypes of things. He is right, Rickie has had ample time to prove himself. All he has proven is that is defense has only gotten marginally better since his rookie year and he hasn't progressed at all offensively except for a couple good months late last year.

    There are a couple big story lines Can Phelps win like a bazillion gold medals? Does the 80 year old swimmer have a chance? Is the basketball team actually going to win this year? Will we make it through the whole olympics without an American getting busted for doping? Becky Hammon on the Russian team, whats up with that? Will Brett Favre show up for opening ceremonies? If Brett doesn't show will Rodgers successfully carry the torch? Will Russell lead the Americans to victory in the javelin, hammer throw, shot put, marathon, general awesomeness, and synchronized swimming?

    If Yost can platoon Billy Hall Hall for sucking earlier this year I see no reason he can't bench Rickie. Heck Yost is a platoon machine, between 3rd base, our #5 spot, last year's outfield situation. He as platoonism in his DNA. Seems to me that 2nd base is looking like a good platoon opportunity with left handed Durham going against righties and right handed Durham against lefties. See what I did there? The ultimate one man platoon. The ideal situation with Rickie and his underachieving butt on the bench

    Seriously what the heck was up with Torres yesterday? A 3 ball count on everybody? It sucks that our best reliever had to take a dump on one of my most anticipated games of the year. And of course I couldn't sleep last night because I was to pissed off and got to thinking that Zambrano, Dempster, and Harden are going to own us now. Of course you never know what could happen but I am now less than confident that we can get a split

    I like Rickie but why did he have to pick last night to just throw up a stinker? It seems he just doesn't have the mental capacity to stay consistent throughout an entire year, perhaps he lacks confidence I don't know. It just seems he has more than his fair share of awful games. That DP wasn't as simple as everyone is making it out to be, Johnson came in there awfully hard, he still should have made the play but it wasn't like he was out at 2nd making the throw with no one bearing down on him. He didn't look especially good at the plate, I am now worried since we face 3 tough right handers the rest of the series.

    Alright who was it? Yost supporter starts fire in apartment Talk about Brewers fever. A Franklin man took his enthusiasm for the surging National Leaguers to a new -- albeit dangerous level. The 21-year-old, a resident of the 3300 block of West College Avenue, became upset Friday night about a newspaper article that was critical of Milwaukee Brewers manager Ned Yost. Disgusted, the man then set the article ablaze. Unfortunately, other newspapers in his apartment also caught fire, causing $500 damage to carpeting but no other destruction. Not only does he need some new carpeting, but the man also was arrested by Franklin police for negligent handling of burning materials, a municipal ordinance violation. After being booked at the police station, the man was released to the custody of his grandfather. There's no word on what newspaper the man was reading or what exactly got him hot under the collar.

    The best way to keep the Cubs fans silent and keep it civil is to kick the ever loving tar out of the Cubs this series. The Cubs fans won't be able to say a peep because their team got destroyed and the Brewers fan won't say anything because they know all to well what it feels like to get the crap kicked out of you all the time. Plus I am sure the in stand verbage is much more foul when the game is in doubt and every play matters and could effect the outcome.

    Or how about Cameron's whiff in the OF a couple weeks back that was ruled a double when any common person knows that it should have been an out and Cam just screwed up? If that isn't the definition of an error I don't know what is.

    I will watch the Olympics in bits and pieces. How is the huge time difference affecting broadcasts by the way? I usually like to watch the opening ceremonies as well. I have a feeling the olympics will be overshadowed by some crazy goings on in Bejiing though. Don't know why but all the talk about bad air quality and emergeny lock downs make me think that something bad is going to happen

    I just bought a Wii. I happened to be in Naperville visiting some friends and they said the Best Buy there had some in stock and sure enough they did. I only have the Wii Sports and Mario & Sonic Olympics right now and they have been fun, my arm is really sore this morning. I am thinking about getting MLB 2K8 and the NCAA Football 2008. Has anyone played these 2 games and what are your impressions. I am also thinking about Tiger Woods 2008 bought I don't want to go crazy buying games right now, I would get virtually no sleep.

    Actually Hall hasn't been all that good, the only hits he has been getting are the late inning type. Don't confuse "clutchness" with "hotness" because from innings 1-7 Hall has been crappy.

    I think I was way more nervous for the Cards series than this series. I can't put my finger on exactly why that is the case. I think it might be that no matter what happens in these 4 games, we will probably still be in the playoffs afterwards (As in still leading the wild card at worst). I think both Cubs and Brewers fans would be happy with a split, after all the teams are pretty well matched. We have a big advantage today, the Cubs have a big advantage on Thursday (Although they can't score runs for Harden for what ever reason). I fully expect CC to have a bad game sometime but I thought the same thing against the Cardinals and he went on to cruise against them. I also don't like it that Billy is playing every day. No Brian he is not hot, he has just gotten some big hits. We better see Branyan against Zambrano and Harden because I don't think Billy would have a chance. I wouldn't mind seeing durham in at least one of those games either. This is going to be a long day for me, thankfully the last 2 hours (5-7) will go fast because of my newly acquired Wii. EDIT: I need to proofread

    You would think that the brilliand mind of Ted Simmons would alowly wear down Ned to the point where he makes logical decisions. I am not so sure that will ever happen because Ned seems to be one stubborn ..... I like Yost, he seems to be a likable guy but lately he has made a nice string of headscratchers. Just makes me think he can't handle the pressure of the pennant race, especially after the Atlanta and Pujols debacle of late last year. I hate to see what his head comes up with during the Cubs series which will have a playoff like atmosphere no doubt.

    I am usually a Yost defender but that move was idiotic. So what if Suppan was "one pitch" from getting out of it, he proved that inning that that "one pitch" was not working out so well. Whats worse is how bad Suppan's numbers were against Blum. I almost guarantee Yost completely forgot that Blum kills Suppan, at least that is the only logical explanation to me. And for cripes sake we have CC and Sheets going the next 2 days, at most you'll need 5 inning out of the bullpen the next 2 days, use em up!!!!
