You thought we were special for a season sweep of the Dodgers, but turns out anyone (e.g., the Angels) can do it.
-
LOL Mets - up 6-0, Peterson on the mound...give up 9 runs to Atlanta in one inning. Their lineup may have pop, but they're still a mess.
-
We're entering "Team of Destiny" territory..

But when are we going to really go for it? -
12 runs for 12 wins is *chef's kiss*
-
Bums only scored 12.

This lineup is a lot more fun with MVP-level Contreras.
-
I agree, let's just not let him beat us.
-
The emphasis should be on the one. I don't care if he gives up 10 runs, if you think that should result in someone being never pitched again that's not the way it works.
-
Obviously that happened, but he's thrown more in other outings if I recall correctly.
-
I imagine we'll get the rationale later, curious if he just felt he was done, or the extra runs flipped the decision.
-
If Joey is actually turning into a serviceable hitter, look out.
-
Walk > steal > single = Run. This team is like an educational video on old school baseball come to life.
-
65 pitches seems early, maybe just anticipating he won't go more than 1 more?
-
Is there anything as predictable as the Brewers scoring after an error?
-
Touching 94 in the first - nice.
-
It appears they weren't too devastated from the lack of needle moving trades.

Not this year! :) "The two NL Division Series will have an extra scheduled off day between Games 1 and 2, a format that allows a team to have the same pitchers start Games 1 and 4, and Games 2 and 5, on normal four days' rest. Last year, the AL Division Series had the extra off day." https://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/45956287/world-series-begin-oct-24-mlb-drops-plan-start-early

Agree. I'd say yes, but do I expect Murphy to start him first? No. That said, they're clearly the first 2 starters, so I don't know how much it really matters until you get to a Game 7.
-
Yep.
