  1. Boy there is no one in the stands for this game.
  2. Everyone's just so excited they're not facing Sale that they can't help but get base hits.
  3. Agree that it seems easiest to just leave Hall down, and Peguero has been inconsistent enough that you could justify (although he wouldn't like it I imagine) sending him down. I would think Ross is far more likely to be jettisoned than Wilson, who's done solid work both as a starter and reliever. Hoby has generally been solid and is always available, but with the emergence of Hudson and Koenig (and the aforementioned 40-man crunch coming), I wouldn't be surprised if he's not on the team next year.
  4. That's not the issue (at least, I have no problem with someone taking a negative opinion about future events). It's the posters who pop into a thread at just the right time to declare definitively in absolute terms that this team is terrible, player X is terrible, and event Y WILL happen. If someone says the exact opposite that should be equally derided (unless it's the optimism thread).
  5. If the Cardinals and Pirates are merely "ok" at .500 the rest of the way, the Brewers simply have to be 4 games below .500 or better.
  6. I trust you can apply my statement to the next applicable date.
  7. Yes, and tomorrow it could be 4, or back to 6.
  8. Have you done the math on how bad the Brewers' record over the next two weeks would need to be and how good the Cards and/or Pirates would need to be? Care to throw out your envisioned records that will lead to this scenario? You seem awfully certain.
  9. Errors and walks never lead to good outcomes.
  10. That's a huge DP, especially coming back from 3-0.
  11. On a positive note, Chourio's OPS in June/July is .897/.868. I think he's figured things out. He is 20 years old.
  12. ...until he wasn't. C'mon Freddy, pull it together.
  13. We're talking about the Eric Haase with a 1.118 OPS so far, right? Regardless of whether he's expected to keep that up (he won't), he has decidedly not been awful.
  14. But isn't there a difference between "I wish we would have made the lineup even better" and "this lineup is a complete joke"? I realize this is just the IGT and so people just post whatever they want without substantiating it, but I would not characterize most of that lineup as "hilarious".
  15. And yet here we are with a 6 game lead.
  16. Can you provide some more context or commentary, source URL, etc, other than just dropping in a random headline from somewhere?
  17. This shtick is getting old. They're real people.
  18. There is a 0% chance they just let Adames walk, and there is a 0% chance he takes the QO.
  19. I mean, 3 teams in the last year all determined yes.
