  1. The Cubs and their fans WILL be nervous, scared, and panicked after the Brewers sweep them out of Milwaukee. Plain and simple.
  2. At this point, I care more about the Brewers than the Packers. Part of it has to do with the Favre idiocy, but that's another story. I've been a Brewer fan longer than a Packer fan, and I love baseball, so I definitely want to see the Brewers do well.
  3. Winning them all. Or at least winning more than they lose. Especially vs. the Scrubs.
  4. After I graduated from college and got into the "real world", my video game playing diminished a whole lot. Actually, after I got married, I got a PS2, as my wife thought then I could have my video games, and we'd have a DVD player for our 2nd TV. I've got a few sports games that I bought used from GameStop, so whenever I need a bit of a stress reliever, I'll do that. I guess I just have to be a bit more intentional about it. Especially before (whenever it happens) kids come along.
  5. So that actually happened in Milwaukee? That sure sounds like something that would happen in Sheboygan.
  6. 2 more games and the L10 column will read 10-0. As it stands, if we can continue 8-2 or 7-3 every 10 games, I'll be ecstatic. I missed the game last night night, due to watching The Dark Knight, but I will definitely not be missing this one! Agreed on the standing O tonight. MP better be loud, and rocking! If anyone in Wisconsin (and any other Brewer fans) didn't notice, we are actually now in a pennant chase. Really. We actually have a chance to be playing in October. Let's enjoy it and have some fun in the process!
  7. I saw the movie last night. Stunning! It struck me as quite violent, but the drama, and the story kept me riveted. There was just so much action and intensity. The character of the Joker was one of the best movie characters of all time in my opinion. Very strange, but quite intriguing. It was a great movie and a lot of fun to watch.
  8. Remember about 7-10 years ago, when we had to struggle to put crappy players on the field? This is much better. Having too many potentially good players is an excellent problem and will continue to build this team up, as you will have to produce to crack the starting lineup, not just because there's no one better.
  9. No doubt. His first 2 at bats were some really hard hit balls. Maybe the trade for Ray Durham is having it's desired effect? And having Durham off the bench isn't a bad thing either.
  10. I starting laughing last night when FSN had the audio up of the dugout reaction to Bill. I didn't realize how much Prince sounds like a girl when he gets excited! I also was cringing because I figured some non-TV-appropriate language would come out. I think I heard one F-bomb, possibly from Prince. I don't want it to come down to the 9th inning again tonight. Let's score early and often and let CC do his thing.
  11. Are you talking about Mota or Gagne?
  12. Would this be the definition of making a move just to make a move?
  13. It was a year ago that Mike Coolbaugh was tragically killed by a line drive. ESPN has this article about Mike's family. I've gotten to know a bit of the backstory, as Mike lived here in San Antonio, and got to know one of my buddies. Matt (my buddy) said that when he first met Mike, Mike NEVER talked about baseball. Matt didn't know that Mike played baseball. They talked about going into business together before Mike was killed. Please keep Mike's family in your thoughts and prayers as they're remembering the tragic anniversary of losing a husband, father and friend way too soon. And a real good guy, at that.
  14. Yeah CoCo killed my fantasy team lately with his implosions. I've dropped him. Hope he's enjoying his money. As one philosopher once waxed: It's all about the Benjamins, baby.
  15. Actually, Turnbow has been afflicted with something that has afflicted many pitchers throughout the years. Cantpitchitis. Sometimes, it can be overcome, and many times, it is debilitating. We'll see what happens with Derrick.
  16. I'm with you, however in Sheboygan, having 80 year olds who really shouldn't be driving or tentative people who come to a complete stop, waiting for everyone to go through the roundabout, can be extremely annoying.
  17. I just don't get Ned's comments. Granted Rickie hasn't ever hit 300 in the majors, so yeah, he's not underachieving. But compared to his potential, he's not achieving what his potential says he's capable of. I get standing up for your guys, but you've got to live in the world of reality, Ned, if you're going to make it to the playoffs and keep your job. Yeah, and don't pitch Mota no matter how much you want to pitch him.
  18. Wouldn't the juicebox work for Tropicana field in Tampa, as well?
  19. Steve Phillips actually suggested over the year that Torres could have a blown save and then a save...um....yeah, sure.
  20. Woah. That is surprising. But at least he's not on the Cubs or Cardinals, so I'll take that.
  21. People at 4 way stops. I'm still adjusting to Texas drivers, but I've driven in other states, and Wisconsin drivers are awful when it comes to 4 way stops. There are rules about who goes first when 2 people get to a 4 way stop at the same time. Then there was the joy when I lived in Sheboygan of roundabouts. Yeah, those are genius. At least when people aren't driving on them.
  22. Is it wrong that I smiled when I read the thread title? That said, I don't want a guy hurt, but because he's a Cub, I'm very happy.
  23. So the Brewers will be leaving San Fran with a sweep and Ray Durham? Nice. Great start to the 2nd half.
  24. That the Brewers would like their $10 million back
