  1. https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2859475-giannis-decision-to-re-sign-with-bucks-a-lot-more-difficult-if-team-struggles i wonder if this means if the bucks don't win it all, I'm gone. I would love to know what he considers underperforming. Yes, i'll be very disappointed if they don't get atleast to the ECF and play a deep series in it, but its so hard to make all of the way.I grant, that the only team right now that concerns me is philly, so if they don't get to the ECF i'll be royally disappointed. also it must be noted that most likely if the bucks struggle, it will be at least partially because of him. I know the media will be asking him all season about it, but i wish he would focus on bball, and not answer any questions about next summer.
  2. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2019/10/latest-on-david-ross-cubs.html This may work out greatly for them, but I see this being a big risk. He has no managerial experience and played with a bunch of them and is good friends with alot of the key players. CC had no experience either, but was gone long enough where most of the team wasn't around when he took over for RR.
  3. IMO opinion, this makes more sense in 2021. They will have to completely change the signage in Miller Park, why do it 2 years in a row? With miller leaving as the name sponsor, no longer a need to have Miller Script for the teams logo. personally, i hope for just an updated version of the 1992 uniforms, similar to what Toronto did. I agree JoPal, the brewers tried to create a classic look, which they aren't bad uniforms, they aren't that exciting either.
  4. OK, lets focus on who is coming instead of going. I think if things go the way they have in the past Bob Miscik will be the 1st base coach.
  5. i would be shocked if he got consideration from anyone. I think this is a case of the brewers wanting to improve their IF defense. He has been rumored as a candidate for a few of the open manager positions. I didn't see that tweet, my comment was based on the fact that I haven't heard of any interview requests as of yet. openings are going to start being filled very soon and it seems like each job as names linked to each and Carlos is nowhere on the list. I could be wrong (won' be the first time). I Know he has some international / minor league managerial experience so i guess it wouldn't be a total shock from that standpoint, but it still would be a leap to go from 1st base coach to manager.

  7. the new bucks uniform is nice, I just hate what Nike is doing. To introduce 2-4 new uniforms every season is insane. All they did was take 2 previous uniforms and combine them. I believe that the bucks will still be introducing a city, earned and classic uniform this season. I don't buy jerseys anymore, and never got into NBA ones anyway, so it doesn't bother me, but it must be frustrating to buy one and have it obsolete one year later.
  8. Bud's Suds and Grille. It seems to me a bunch of marketing people were trying to be cute, when they didn't have to be. I could probably come up with others with just a little thought.
  9. I get going there on non-gamedays or pre or post game, but I never understood the people that hung out there during the game rather than just ordering a hotdog and beer at their seats. Really never understood those that would hang out in the beer garden during the game with those 2 small TV's at the bar. When I would sit at the bleachers we would stop down at the beer garden to get a long island, but once you couldn't bring them inside, never had much of a use for that place. Hopefully now that it is ran by Delaware North the rules will be relaxed.
  10. That was the end of Friday’s. Since this place is operated by Delaware north, that rule should no longer be in place.
  11. the full quote was that it was disrespectful to the bucks who were fined for tampering. Bleacher report left the second part out. I think that is a perfectly reasonable response, so I rescind my previous post.
  12. I'm surprised that is not being done actually. Gives them a chance to sell more overpriced concessions... maybe a staffing issue, but there was a possibility they would have hosted on tuesday so I am sure they were ready. I don't know after the success the bucks had this spring why the brewers wouldnt' try to make the extra $ on concessions and merchandise.
  13. Giannis won't talk free agency because it would be "disrespectful" to the bucks. This is not a good sign moving forward. Maybe reading too much into it, but I'd feel better if he just said he loved it here and will see how the future plays out. https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2856013-giannis-antetokounmpo-its-disrespectful-to-bucks-to-talk-future-free-agency
  14. there is a watch party at the mecca sports bar downtown. I am sure there will be a full house at Fridays at Miller Park, but nothing official from the team. Doesn't seem like something the brewers embrace. Would be cool to open up Miller Park and let fans watch on the scoreboard.
  15. reports have surfaced today that he is done in Chicago, so its makes sense, why would he care about the cubs, cards or brewers when he won't be around next season. https://mlb.nbcsports.com/2019/09/27/rosenthal-its-a-a-fait-accompli-that-joe-maddon-will-not-be-back-as-cubs-manager/ Especially in the Phil Gardner days the brewers always made it a point to play their best possible lineup, no matter their record in Septemebr when they played a contender. I think that is how to do it, but I get that they are dealing with a bunch of injuries and want to see the younger players play, which I can't fault them for. Its just the way he stated it that irks me.
  16. Going to put this here, but I think this is the dumbest time sharing idea I have ever heard. https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/27707068/g-league-experiment-single-foul-shot #1 - the NBA is really the only professional league that does a good job with Time of Game (can't speak too much about hockey), but MLB, NFL and NCAAF are the biggest offenders. #2 - this really changes the game. heck, if they want to reduce TOG, I'd rather end games like the TBT this summer over this, and incorporate the Elam ending, which really reduces the need to foul, rather than this. I doubt it will ever expand past the g league, but its still a dumb idea.
  17. I was on the brewers shop online and saw a nice brewers flannel shirt that I bought instead of any postseason gear. Will be here by Tuesday too!
  18. not a fan of what was put out last night. last years was better. Last year I made the mistake of buying the wildcard sweatshirt online the day they clinched and only to have them put division champ stuff out later.
  19. pretty sure it had more to do with teams not wanting to give up a pick rather than the required years / money.
  20. I don't think his NFL career is necessarily over, depending on how everything plays out but his season is. The Civil case won't be complete this season and can't see any team picking him up with all of the baggage he now has.
  21. i doubt the packers would have traded their PR without a plan. this seemed to come out of nowhere, so lets see what happens Sunday. I also (while understand it is slightly different) believe that if you can return kicks you can return punts, so between Sheperd and Smith I think they will be fine. I also am interested to see who takes the roster spot once the transaction is official.
  22. can't be much more than that. 6th at most. Darrius Shepard....come on down. maybe not, saw that Tremon Smith returned 33 kicks for 886 yards for KC last year, with a 97 yd return again NE as well. . Ranked 4th in the NFL on return avg.
  23. interesting. no report on whats coming back. I would assume Shepherd will now take over, but I wonder who will get the roster spot.
  24. to start byes this early is so dumb. Its only to ensure the most amount of games each week for TV. If they were so concerned for the student athlete they would have atleast 4 teams off during the middle of the season to give them rest. not the badgers are playing straight through Thanksgiving.
  25. joe Johnson signed with the pistons today, so while i wasn't worried he would tilt the needle much in philly, nor was I clammering for him to come here, he is really not much of a threat in detroit to hurt the bucks. 1 yr / 2.6 million deal.
