As much as I despise much of what ESPN does, their "greatest homers" piece at the end of the preview show was well done and brought back a lot of memories.

And it's quite the gaggle of kayaks in McCovey Cove.

Morneau hits four.

Even if he thinks it was a subpar performance, at least he won't blame his pitcher, since it was Ron Gardenhire. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/happy.gif

Looks like Rod Gardenhire was a poor pitching choice for Morneau...he couldn't really get anything to really pull. Bummer that Prince hits 6th out of 8...he might not get up for another hour yet.

Two quick questions, not sure if anyone will know either, but....

Who's pitching to Prince? I must have just over looked this, but can't find it anywhere.

And number 2, who catches during the derby?

I'll give Barry credit...it seems like he's been a lot nicer to the media this year. I still think the guy's an arrogant jerk, but at least he's not lashing out at anyone who asks a question this year.

I think the major issues are pretty well laid out by Stark, who's one of the best on the planet.
I compare Stark to the way I play darts. Sometimes I'll hit the bulls-eye. Sometimes the dart will hit the wall and fall on the floor.

crewcrazy, I think Bonds has been 'nicer' to the media than the media gives him credit for. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif

That’s the only thing Chicago’s good for: to tell people where Wisconsin is.

When 4 hitters have hit, including Morneau and Pujols, and your leader is Matt Holiday with 5, you've got to think the stage is set for Prince and Howard to put on a show.

I think Bonds was trying to put Gammons in a tight/awkward situation when Gammons asked about the "fan reaction" on the road and Bonds responded with "what fan reaction?" Barry, remember your three days in Milwaukee?

I hope ESPN doesn't 'interrupt' Prince.

bucks2281,

Using one of hawing's favorite words, I think if I had to be interviewed all the time and was asked the same stuff over and over, I'd be pretty snarky, too.

They probably should have sent someone to throw to Prince that had actually thrown to him before.

He clearly wanted the ball in, and Guerrero kept throwing them out.

well, THAT was disappointing

3 HR's isn't though, no clue how much those shadows really matter but sounds like he had the worst timing for his at bats.

Wow that was disappointing not only did the bp pitcher not even throw anything inside but he had to deal with shadows and it looked like the wind was blowing in.
