wasn't this series the one that Jamie was trying to get us all to go on a BF.net road trip? I seem to remember that from back in the winter.

Boy, we'd have seen a no-hitter and a great comeback. Mass suicides and massive heart attacks in back to back games if we had been there. New Tiger Stadium (I refuse to call it that corporate stuff) would have been site of a CSI: Detroit episode.

Yes, pitch, I was thinking about this last night. I believe it was going to be the game on the 12th.

So I then wondered: did bf.net dodge a bullet by not making the road trip for what turned out to be the wrong end of a no-hitter...or did the cancellation of the road trip cause the baseball gods to frown and smite the Brewers?

Like the timeless question of how many licks it takes to get to the center of a Tootsie Roll Tootsie Pop, the world may never know.

Anyway, getting back on topic - go Brewers. Give us some weekday entertainment (via Gameday at least), and make it a happy ending.

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

Would really like to see the momentum from last night spill over to the rubber game today. Sure wouldn't want to have anyone else taking the mound for the Crew.

Although, as a funny aside, Sheets' performance this year has kind of run opposite to the Crew's overall success. He scuffled in April when they were setting the world on fire, and has pitched like a Cy Young candidate over the past month plus, when the team has tanked. What I'm saying is, if Sheets gets roughed up today, the silver lining is that it means the Brewers are about to go on a tear. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif

If my math is correct, the Brewers are one win or single losses by the Cubs and Cardinals away from clinching a first-place run of 62 days. That would be a franchise record.

Wearing my heart on my sleeve since birth. Hopefully, it's my only crime.

I say this is the start of stage 3:

Stage 1: Team = Good, Sheets = Bad

Stage 2: Team = Bad, Sheets = Good

Stage 3: Team = Great, Sheets = Unbeatable

Sounds OK to me. Anyone else?

Looking at the NL Central Pitching probables part of the thread makes me laugh - Jeff Weaver has an ERA on the north side of 12! It also makes me happy that the Brewers went after the right free agent Cardinal starting pitcher last offseason.

It'll be even more hilarious if he ends up beating the cubs.

This would be so huge for the team to win this game. Give them great confidence, knowing they can beat some of the best in a 3 game series. We knew this team would be up and down, but I can't handle this one month at a time thing. I was thinking more up for a week or two down for a week.

Come on Benny!
