I am hoping the rotation pitches well enough that we can save his arm in Nashville and he can be K-Rod for us in September out of the pen..

Nothing like a bunch of power arms with a change-up specialist in the middle.

For some reason I don't see Braun having to adapt his game much to be successful in the big leagues. I think he'll start hitting right away, similar to Hunter Pence (although maybe not that good).

I like Braun in the #2 spot this evening. Maybe get those first AB jitters out of the way so he can relax. Of course, that could backfire if he hits into a DP and then he presses in the field in the bottom of the first.

 

Anyways, good to see him up. Go Brewers! Only an hour to go!

Gross = Hart > Gwynn vs righties, so don't really have a big problem with Gross in there.

Against Maddux you do not try to work the count. The best pitches with him are usually early in the count when he is trying to get ahead. Otherwise, I would agree with you.
