Ted Simmons said that Hart is the second best base runner in Brewers history, behind Molitor and ahead of Yount. That's some tremendous praise.

The ol' bunting with 2 strikes play was on, though. Not sure about that. At least Ned's showing confidence in trying stuff and not cowering in fear and indecisiveness.
Why wouldn't you still try to bunt with 2 strikes? 1st and 2nd with no outs and Sheets up. The best thing that happens if he swings is a hit (not likely) the worst thing that happens is he GIDP.

Bad move to put TGJ on the DL because he said he was ready to be back. The defense in CF is horrid and costing the brewers runs the last week.

Cameron would have caught that ball in the 1st. No doubt in my mind about that.

Rickie, please swing the freaking bat!

Seriously? Who cost the Brewers runs today? Are people actually watching the game? No way Gwynn makes that catch. I doubt Cameron and his Gold Glove make it to that ball.

Well I can't get Gameday to open up, so I was curious what the radar on Gameday is showing for Sheets and Santana's fastballs. I doubt they are only 88-89 like FSN is saying

I beg to differ, I think Cameron catches that ball. Gwynn does not.

I swear weak hitting catchers are hitting like .750 off of this year.

Gameday shows Sheets fastball at 91/92 this inning. It was a little lower in the 1st.

yeah, trwi7, I meant to put in "but it's the pitcher so I guess you gotta do it" but I forgot to go back and add it in.

My bad.

Error and a hit and again we have to have Sheets battle through an inning. Nothing easy today, folks.

Wow..not the series to argue the defense is better... and this with a generous scorekeeper (ex. Fielder's error last night being ruled a hit.)

I'm also real curious as to how people think Gwynn or Cam catch the ball Beltran in the 1st. Are you kidding me? That ball was scorched and hit 3/4 of the way up the wall. Kapler is no slouch defensively

Good play by Kendall. Get the runner at 3rd and make Santana run the bases.

EDIT: And it just saved a run. He's head-and-shoulders better than Estrada.
