The Dodgers have an opportunity to bury the Chicago Cubs today, if they can capitalize on the recently-shaky Carlos Zambrano. Meanwhile, the Tampa Bay Rays play their first ever MLB playoff game. Go Dodgers and Rays!

Man, Balfour has become awesome since going to Tampa. Came in with bases loaded, 1 out in the 7th and struck out both guys.

Balfour has been solid pretty much the entire season, though, that's the big difference

 

All the same, I'm glad that the "BallFour" for "McDung" trade has paid dividends for both teams

Wow, the Cubs infield is looking Brewers-esque this inning. DeRosa and Lee both boot balls hit right at them. Hothead looks like he's about to explode.

Fukodome really turned out to be a sucky player. I think he was even booed after he looked at that fastball right down the middle for strike three.

I can say one thing for Brewer fans: they don't boo as much as Cub fans.

That strike 2 on Fukudome was criminal, they have to do something about the terrible umpriring in baseball. I don't care how much people are against computers helping but human error plays way too large of a role in these games.

I love that the Cubs gave Fukudome all that money. He has to be one of the worst all-star game starters that I can remember.
