Gallardo should have started this game. No one but Dale Sveum though Suppan was a good idea.

I'm sure Yost would have done the same and I bet Suppan thought it was a good idea! Not to mention most Phillies fans.

Why would you pinch hit with Sabathia? That is just stupid.
I don't think it was that bad a choice. CC is an okay hitter and why burn a bench player this early in the game. I mean yeah were down 5 but lot of ball to play. I have no problem with CC hitting there. It's not like we have a huge roster like we did a few weeks ago.

It may not have mattered how Soupcan pitched. The offense looks like it's in two-hit mode today.
That is true, he could have gave up 1 run and might have lost the way we look so far today at the plate.

THing I don't understand is that his soft stuff was working. Then they try to bust him up and in with a "fastball"? That's just asking for him to miss low and over the middle. GUess what happened?

Completely off topic, if I see any male walking around with a Sprint Instinct phone, I'm going to stright-out ask if he still has his testicles.

My question: if Gallardo is pitching, why didn't he start?
Exactly! That is my question, 3 days rest or not Yovani was a much better option.

I'm just mad that we have two more years of having to deal with Suppan on this roster.

He has a limited no trade clause, I think he can veto 8 teams. The trouble is finding a team that would take his albatross of a contract.

The decision to start Suppan might go down as the worst decision in team history. It ranks right up there with signing Jeff Suppan. What's sad is that Yost would have done the same thing.

So can Doug trade Jeff Suppan or does he have a no trade clause?

He has the ability to trade him, but either won't find a taker at his price or we'd have to take on another team's bad contract as a result.

Regardless of how we're hitting, it's Suppan's job to keep the team in the game. He failed to do that. What good is he in our rotation next year if he can't win games? Terrible signing, Doug.

No team would trade for Suppan. His value is about as low as low could be. It was an awful sign and he should have never pitched in this game.

Our offense looks terrible today to, so that really doesn't help.

Well this obviously isn't the Brewers day. Or playoffs really, offense just hasn't shown any kind of power. Few singles scattered yesterday with some walks was nice enough for the W, but for the most part these approaches at the plate have been not so good.

Even if there isn't one in his contract, Suppan has basically put one in there with his pitching this year.

There is no way anyone would pick his contract up. Over the last two seasons opposing batters have batted .298 against him.

I believe Jeff's contract has a no-trade clause for the first two years and a limited no-trade clause for the second two years.

That’s the only thing Chicago’s good for: to tell people where Wisconsin is.

If you changed unis on Suppan and Blanton, I think the results would still be roughly the same. Brewers couldn't hit the couple of mistakes Suppan made anyway, and Blanton's stuff is not much different than Suppan's.
