Looks like Ned proved some people wrong. Cirillo with 3 hits and Hall with 2 hits. Fielder could not have done much better than that.

Cirillo!

.......

Well he got the RBI at least! Thrown out at second being a bit aggressive on the basepaths, he has that killer Italian sausage work ethic.

5-1!

Yep, Cirillo was out by a mile. But the damage had been done. If the Crew can't hold this lead, it's going to be a long plane ride back to Milwaukee.

Oh no - sportsline.com shows Capellan up in the bullpen?

Uke just confirmed it.

With the Brewers hitting as they were, keeping the inning alive was the most important thing...going to second obviously stopped that...

That said, what's done is done, and we need to nail this one down!

There is absolutely no explanation. Maybe he thought Lane would be lazy?

That's what I was thinking. That maybe Cirillo figured another hit to continue the rally would cause Lane to loaf to the ball dejectedly. Cirillo was probably really pumped up about the hit and thought he was gonna catch them crying. Darn.

on the FSN telecast, daron and bill were just telling a strory about drew olson, but i only caught the very end of it. could somebody who's watching quickly give a recap of what they were talking about?

Today I thought that Capuano was going to have to pitch like an ace for the Brewers to win the game. He did just that. What a much-needed perfomance. Good job Cappy.

except for that home run.

Do you like this move? I like getting Cappy out of there with just 2 ER after how solid he was tonight, but he has handled Preston perfectly tonight. And we know Preston is due to hit a blast. And some days, Cappellan has nothing but a straight fastball that guys like Preston just tee off on.

*worried*

Cirillo has been watching the running abilities of the Italian Sausage closely, and has adopted the go for the jugular mentality of aforementioned sausage. We can all learn a lot from the Italian sausage, well all of us excepting Brady Clark.
