Carlos Lee available

I don't think anyone was seriously mad at the Brewers for trading him, especially given the contract he got later from Houston (which pretty much everyone said was idiotic).

He would be intriguing because he would be fairly useful back in the Brewers lineup. Of course, his defense would not be an asset at all. Also, if we were to trade for him, we wouldn't want to give up much, and Houston would have to eat a large portion of his contract. So, it probably wouldn't work out.

Maybe he could go to either the Dodgers or Angels, if one loses out on both Manny and Tex.

Great contract Houston! The best part is that it's just going to keep looking better the further you get into it!

That was such a dumb move by the Astros. Carlos Lee would have been a great pickup for an American League team. His defense is sooooo bad. It would almost be like us trotting Prince out in left field every day and watching balls drop in everywhere.

The worst part about it is that the Astros' offer wasn't even close to the others out there. Most were thinking 5/60 or something along those lines for Carlos, then the Astros came in with the 6th year when no one else was offering it.

I realize Carlos missed the last 7 weeks of the season, but he's been better as an Astro than he was as a Brewer. So, if the Astros thought he was worth that contract when they signed him, then they certainly shouldn't complain about his performance. He's arguably had his two best seasons and it hasn't all been a MinuteMaid effect.

"Rock, sometime, when the team is up against it, and the breaks are beating the boys, tell 'em to go out there with all they got and win just one for the Uecker. I don't know where I'll be then, Rock but I'll know about it; and I'll be happy."

Eh if we only have one lefty now, we might as well just trade Fielder and stick Carlos at 1st. Carlos couldn't be any worse defensively and he did have .930 OPS against righties last year and .855 over his career

I am only 1/2 joking.

Lee doesn't even try on most plays so not sure how you think he wouldn't be worse.
I think maybe he would be forced to try every play since a lolly pop pop fly to left is a little different than a 90 MPH fastball from Hardy, he'll have to try harder just to not get killed.
